The Good The Bad And The Ugly

There is NO only in weight loss. Every pound lost is another pound you don't have to face tomorrow. Go look at a pound of butter or a pound of fat from meat. You've removed one more of those from your body, and that's a wonderful thing! Look for the NSVs. Are your clothes looser? Are you more energetic? If so, then you ARE making wonderful progress!

    Omg- It Really Works:0)

Well I had my second fill last Wednesday( i think it was) & wow what a difference!!! I mean I will try & explain the sensation compared to my first fill. With the 1st fill (1cc)I could feel restriction BUT would still eat untill I felt full which was when I felt like throwing-up. I mean I ate more than I should because I felt hungry & the only time I didn't feel hunger was when I felt pain. Also I would be hungry about 1 to 2 hour later. Now with the second fill(+.5 total 1.5cc) I actually don't feel like throwing up & feel this satisfaction level unlike anything before. I mean I am literally full in about 3 to 4 bites of pure protein & about 10 bites to 12 of non protein. I am full for HOURS! All liquids I have zero problems with. Its wonderful to feel so full & truely SATISFIED:) NSV- At Boston chicken I ordered a single dinner & could barely eat 1/2. Normally I would have ordered a family dinner & even though it would have served me for several meals - I would have ate enough for 2 or more people. Now the only BAD part is I am not getting in enough calories I think?? Because the scale has not moved at all which is discouraging. I have been getting around 1000 per day & tons of water but no luck in moving the scale. So I guess I need to eat more? at least I think so? Anyone have ANY Ideas??? Anyhow - I just never knew the TOTAL AWE I would feel over this band! I mean I can't believe this feeeling of fullness & satisfaction in such a small amount of food. It really does work!!!

    First NSV

Hey peeps... Just wanted to share my NSV for today.. I went shopping today and saw this pretty top.. there was only one size left, i picked it up and looked at it and thought what a shame its too small... i walked around a little more and picked it up again.. and then thought why not, ill try it on anyway since i was going to the change room anyway to try on other tops. On the way to the change room i was trying to justify to myself to buy it and that maybe one day i would be able to fit into it.. in a few months.. So i get to the change rooms and put it on and guess what! It was way to big... so big in fact that it looked horrible! So yay to me!.. this sleeve of mine is finally working! Now my brain just needs to catch up with my body

@Tealael party dance party dance!! YOU are the leader! 199 lbs - Ahhhhh one of the great NSV's peep look forward to keep up the great job good luck kathy congrats
  12. Awww, (((Deb)))!! Isn't that just the most amazing feeling!?! To know that you CAN do whatever you like, need or want to do. I remember feeling like Rocky Balboa the first time I walked around the lake in my apartment complex and the first time I walked from one end to the other of the mall without having heart failure! You go girl! THAT is what it's all about. We take our lives back instead of giving them to the fat and letting ourselves die a slow, painful, ever-less-satisfying death. Congrats!! You've earned that NSV!!!
  13. Yesterday was an emotional day for me...... have had a lot of those since being sleeved. I had been crying pretty much all day if I wasn't crying I was pissed off (seems to happen every couple of days for me). I know getting the sleeve was the best thing I could do for MYSELF but I still have the food emptiness syndrome sometimes especailly around dinner time. So basically I was pissed at the world yesterday because "NO ONE UNDERSTANDS how I feel" and I couldn't invite anyone to my pitty party because everyone that came into contact with me ran the other way...LOL So last night I had to pick my son who is 15 from practice at school. Which normally involves him coming straight out to the car but yesterday was different. I got there at 5:30, still very very emotional, and sat there and sat there and sat there. The old me would have sat there until dark if he hadn't come because the old me couldn't walk that hill to get to the fields without huffing and puffing getting embarrassed starting to sweat then have anxiety over sweating because everyone sees the fat woman sweating, so I sweat even more. I even chose to miss some of his football games this fall because I was so embarrassed of myself, which was very hard for me because I am my kid's biggest FAN!! I had always been to every football, basketball, baseball, school event ( I was PTSA treasurer) the kids ever had. Though last year I took a turn for the worse and had gain so much weight that it turned me into a hermit. I had put on 60lbs in a blink of an eye. Well back to the story, I decided the only way he was going to come was to get him and I thought oh I am going to blast him for not coming to the car. So I walked up the hill NOT A HUFF NOT A PUFF no sweat and it was like the angels began to sing and all the built up emotion of being pissed and embarrassed all went away because I did it. I walked up that hill. Now I have been walking since I have been out of the hospital usualy up to a mile a day but never noticed a differnece until yesterday. I couldn't believe how great I felt. When I got to the courts I sat down and enjoyed watching him practice. Neverminded the time..... This is my 2nd week Post Op and well I've only lost 26 lbs but my body feels like I've lost a 100. I am capable of walking and standing for long periods of time without every part of my body hurting. I woke up this morning so grateful of this blessing and I know there will be those "Emotional Days" for me still but nothing is more emotional then living my life like it is suppose to be:)

    NSV at Kohl's

Today I went back to Kohl's to get me some more of those size 14 Capris pants for my mission trip to Costa Rica coming up this Friday. If you know Kohl's, you know how you have to look in several places for what you are looking for. Well I had been all over the clothing department and couldn't find any 14s. I finally in frustration grabbed up a pair of 12s and headed for the fitting room. Well they fit...WoooHooo! So I found me 5 pair in different colors. I also bought some cute $5.00 Tshirts to take in as size Large...Not XLarge, but Large! (FYI In March I was wearing size 20 pants and 2XL T-shirts)
  19. I think I just had my first NSV without dropping a lbs or inch. To realize that I have all these amazing people to share stories with and it brings a smile to my face even if I do not know you personally, I DO KNOW YOU ON A PERSONAL LEVEL! Thank you so much for sharing!

    What fun! Great NSV!

    Female NSV

I just wanted to share a female NSV I had today. When I was young and thin I always knew when I was ovulating. I would get a little cramp in my abdomen and get a couple light pink spots. I also felt bloated for a few hours. If I counted I would see I was at my ovulation date. That all stopped when I got heavy. I still had my period but never felt ovulation. I am assuming I was though. I felt it today! I used an online calculator and sure enough today is my ovulation date. Not trying to get preg but it is still kind of cool to feel your body working right again!
  24. Let me preface this. This is an NSV for me. Fat girl all my life, teased by boys from an early age, shunned later, I, (as many of us I'm sure), learned to remain "aloof". Show no interest and they'll leave you alone and not hurt you. This makes for a "cold" and rarely playful adult woman. So the NSV... I'm chatting with this guy I've met on-line who I have a date to meet in a few hours and he flirts a bit. I actually managed to come back in such a way as to elicit the comment, "You're a good flirt"! Funny that that's a milestone for me, but it totally is, to have the kind of confidence to take that kind of risk! So wish me luck with this one. He looks kinda cute and he's funny. And he's a good flirt. LOL
  25. NSV means Non-Scale Victory. Like when the scal doesn't move but you drop a pants size, or you can cross your legs normally when you couldn't before, you don't have to use a seatbelt extender on an airplane anymore, etc.
