okay peeps...I FINALLY lost another pound. Man, I wish the doc had given me a fill last week. However, on an NSV note: yesterday was 'free item of apparel day" at Sears Outlet stores. So, after work I took my little coupon and went shopping for some slacks. I have ONE pair of slacks that fit. So, I go in looking for 20s but I only find one pair so I pick up some 18Ws. Lo and behold, the 20 was a bit too big and the 18W pair fits! A size smaller than I expected...woo-hoo! So I picked out a white shirt and since the pants were $10 and then 75% off, I used the shirt as my free item and only paid $2.50 for the pants. My whole outfit, tax and all, was only $2.73!! Hopefully I'll have a pic to post later. I have some but I don't really like them. LOL. Have a great day everyone!

Today while at the gym the receptionist stopped me to see my ID card. When he saw my pic on the screen where you swipe your key card he didn't believe I was the same girl. My pic they took 3 months ago looks nothing like the girl I am today. 34 pounds lighter and down 2 sizes!! I am so happy and grateful for my sleeve. I almost hugged that guy. -
This was one of my most "boastful" NSVs when I hit it with my AGB (most any kind of "V" I kept to myself, or between me and DH). Can't wait for it again. I used to have to travel frequently, and would always just kind of tuck the seatbelt under my stomach and pull my shirt down, hoping it would look like it was fastened. Never once asked for a fastener -- I figure that if something goes wrong with the plane the seatbelt isn't really going to make much difference. Then several months went by, I fly again, and have a foot or so of leftover seatbelt (on the same plane/route/flight). I flopped the extra out on my leg, making sure everyone could plainly see that I had room to spare. The seatbelt NSV is almost as good as when us ladies can finally "lady cross" our legs again. Congratulations!

So tonight 5 days post op i am going to bed SATISFIED for the first time since surgery!! I finally found something that tastes GREAT pureed and makes me feel as though ive eaten a good meal.. and that is CAMPBELLS CORN AND CHICKEN chowder soup.. omg it was sooooo delicious.. i ate more of that soup than i have of anything else since April 25th.. i through 3 or 4 spoonfuls in a cup.. added a little water to smooth it out.. a pinch of salt and pepper.. threw it in the blender and the microwave and omg it was like HEAVEN to my belly.. and to top it off NOW about an 35 minutes later im enjoying a nice glass of v8 juice which is the ONLY thing i TRULY like right now.. i can only get my liquids in with v8 or Tropical smoothie.. any other liquid im not particularly interested in.. IM SO HAPPY.. i hope this is the start of many more GREAT DAYS with food

What a great NSV! Congrats to you. People at work are starting to notice how baggy my clothes are getting, it's such a compliment, but at the same time, so hard for me to accept/believe/process. I don't know the right word, but it's just not something I'm used to hearing! :-D

Saw a friend today that I haven't seen since before my surgery and when she saw me, she was excited because she could see my weight loss a lot she said. It made me smile from ear to eat. I'm down 22lbs. Tomorrow I will be one month out.

That's one of the NSVs I'm waiting for. For YEARS I've wanted a pair of brown leather, heeled, knee boots. They had some really cute ones (not leather tho) at Avenue 2 years ago. I went in one day and they had my size on clearance for $9, down from like $85. When does that ever happen?!? I bought them and could only zip them about 1/3 over my calf. DAMMIT. I couldn't even pretend to zip them up all the way, not unless I wanted to lose a lot of skin in the process. Before I got fat I used to love knee boots, wool skirts & cowl neck sweaters in the winter. Can't wait to wear such an outfit again. Super congrats to you on your awesome NSV!

I had a NSV like this and it was awesome! Mine were old-school converse japanese knee highs...laced them very close together! It feels sooooo good to be able to do things like that! yay for you, for all of us! -
I'm so excited! I had a NSV this morming when I zipped up my boots. I've always had to scrunch down my knee high boots so I could get them zipped up over my rather voluptuous calves but today . . . I zipped from ankle to knee in one smooth, unscrunched action! Yee Haw!

Woohoo! Congrats!! I had my first NSV at only 1 week post op. Well I am down 30 lbs from my highest weight. I was getting my daughter her tuna sub( subway) yes, the smells were really getting to my little teeny tummy But anywhoo, I gave them my debit card and drivers license, they girl at the register looked at it and called her co worker over, they looked at it and looked at me, the guy said" uh no" and the girl laughed and said " that's you? Are you sure? My hair was up and I had 3 chins and chipmunk cheeks. I only have one chin now and normal cheeks and my hair is down to my waist!! I thanked them for making my day!! I had my first nsv yesterday. My jeans that I had been wearing were way to big so I dug out the jeans I knew were in my closet ( the I know I will fit into these again one day jeans) they had been there for 3 YEARS! I put them on..... TOO BIG, they were falling off! They are 3 sizes smaller then pre surgery size! It felt amazing!!!!!!!!

I've almost always been overweight but when I flew last year it really made me realize just how big I had gotten. Both flights were embarrassing and uncomfortable. I am 7 weeks out and will be flying again in the fall - I can't wait to have the same NSV! Congrats on your success!

Today I went to my doctor for my monthly follow up. He walked in and said "Hey skinny!' Then he said i have lost 9 pounds since my last appt. last month and my % of body fat has gone from 52% to 36%. He asked me how many pant sizes I have gone down and I said from an 18 to an 8, and he said well don't by anymore 8's because you will be in a 6 soon! He said that I only have 11 more pounds to go until I am at his goal for me. Then he told me that I have lost more weight each month than any other of his sleeve patients monthly follow ups! Boy did I feel good when I left there, so I stopped on the way home and went clothes shopping! (But no pants just tops). LOL!

Two weeks ago I had a good NSV by fitting into a 18 size skinny jeans thinking they wouldnt fit and did. This week a new middle number has been recorded. On my way to a 60 pound lost. Feeling better that I can ever remember when I weighed this much over 20 years ago. I'm so motivated right now and can only pray this continues. Have a good week all!!!
