I guess this could have waited until after my 1st post-op appt... anyway.... I'm feeling great!! A little light headed and weak due to the lack of calories and stuff... I'm only allowed bariatric clears... (Is there something I can have that will help me not feel some "out of it"??).. I easy get in all of my liquids.. (Thank God!!) I'm almost pain free, until I forget that I have staples and that I HAD surgery a week ago... and I try to pick something up off the floor or turn a certain way... I'm still overwhelmed and feeling so blessed by the support I've been receiving from you guys, my family and friends... Although, one of my good friends is MIA... I have a feeling we gonna have to have a 'come to Jesus' meeting really soon... but, it's OK.. she'll be fine!!! I've really been wanting some cream of potato Soup for the last 2 days.. so HOPEFULLY (fingers crossed), I'll be ok to go to full liquids and pureed foods tomorrow!!! I haven't been hungry as normal, but I think that little empty feeling in my middle may be my signal for now.. I'm okay w/ that.. Oh, NSV.... got out of the shower this am, I was able to give myself a little foot massage as I lotioned up!! HA!!! That's huge for me!! As I have left side nerve damage due to some herniated discs in my back, thus lifting my left foot has never been this easy since my injury!!! That made me smile!!! I hope everyone is having a greatly favored and awesomely blessed day!!! Love and Hugs Tina

So yesterday I bought a 'goal' dress, not something I normally do, but it was too beautiful to pass up and I'm just sick of telling myself "no". I'm currently a size 26/28 and the dress is a size 20. Wanted to see how others changed in sizes during their journey so I can gauge a realistic goal of how far out post op I want to be able fit into my first nsv goal.

I would say that is a NSV to be proud of! Great work! And, I agree, that Macy's is overwhelming! But, boy does it have options

I ran 2 miles this morning. Pretty pumped up about it, as I was shooting for just one but kept on running (felt a bit like Gump). At the beginning of the year, I could barely walk a mile. This has been a life changer!

Why not brag? Don't you deserve it? This is THE place to come and brag. Here we understand (for the most part) what it feels like to hit an NSV and want to shout it from the rooftops. Not many people in our everyday lives understand that. I say brag away my friend!!

Okay I've never been ideal weight in my whole life.....I mean NEVER! ALWAYS been overweight and always got in trouble every time I would go to the doctor....well the other day I went to the OBGYN and got on the scale and had lost 4lbs from what I was when I went to get a fill. The doc had no clue that I had lap band and I just knew I was going to get fussed at for being 366. So she came in asking about how I have been doing and I told her about my lap band and she just thought that was so awesome! She was so proud of me for taking the step to a healthier me and so glad that my weight was gradually coming off and at a slow pace. I never heard once "well you know you need to watch what you eat" or "you know you need to lose more weight that that" it was ALL positive things about my weight and I've literally never had that happen before. It was nice to hear something good from a doc :-)

Am I too "tight" ? .... 2nd fill yesterday
glindab replied to peaches9's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
It really amazes me on how the band/fills effects everyone differently. I felt some restriction with just my band. Then my doc gave me .5CC in a 10CC band -- and i had a little more restriction. Last week, i got another .5cc for a total of 1cc, and I can hardly eat anything. I am eating small amounts, very very slowly. But I couldn't imagine having another fill anytime soon. Not that I am complaining -------------- don't get me wrong. It just amazes me. I remember thinking during my 1st fill "What is .5cc going to do for me when there are some getting 5cc at a time?" -- But everyone is just so different. Lilly73 -- PB is productive burp and NSV is Non scale victory. I had one of those the other night. I went to Cheddars with my friends and they were already sitting in a booth. I normally try to do a table -- but I was so happy to fit comfortably in the booth -- with room to spare. I can't wait for November -- i am flying to Vegas. I am sure this time, i will just be like everyone else -- i will walk onto the plane, go to my seat, and buckle up. WITHOUT asking for a seatbelt extension. WHOOHOOO -- i haven't done that for years. And I can't wait to sit in the seats at whatever show i go to see and not have to squeeze in and out of them. :clap2::clap2: -
That is truly amazing!!! What a wonderful NSV! I can't wait to enjoy those same experiences. Congrats!

given some more time it will even out mostly by going away. this one was a great NSV for me - putting my wedding ring back on after years of it sitting in a drawer. then you may need it resized but wait for a few months
