Well I just went into my profile, tried to update it, Ken and Alex once promised to fix the Phone App. so it would work as well as going in from personal computer. Things I tried correcting Weight-199, first surgeon appointment 7/17/2018 Hospital O.S. U. Columbus Ohio Surgery Date 9/05/2018 Surgeon Bradley J Needleman MD, it did have my goal at 175, that's true but when I attempt to correct the rest it's like Teflon, nothing sticks, everything sl8des off into oblivion. If our Electronic Gurus would only fix it A MAJOR NSV in my life!

Awesome great NSVs!!!!! Keep up the great work!!! -
I had the greatest NSV today. I am one week out of surgery and with all the preop loss plus the post op loss I was able to fit into clothes that I had only looked at in the closet for the last 2 years. Huge smile at that.

I had this one but it was an office building with the windows that are like mirrors to reflect the light cause it gets real hot here in the summer. I rounded the corner and came face to face with a total stranger. It was a little unnerving to realize i didnt know myself. I have since gotten used to my new looks but it is odd the way we hold onto how we think we look and how long it can take to see the changes. keep up the posts, i come to the NSV whenever i need a pick me up cause seeing everyone's joy at the small wins over life is a real upbeat way smooth out a day with too many downs and short of ups

Wooohoooo everyone! I just found this thread! Is it still in effect for Summer 2019? I rarely do the NSVs, cuz everyday feels like an NSV to me these days and I don't wanna hog the NSV threads! But I had to share this cuz I just had a realization! For the last 2 mornings, I "ran" for 60 minutes and 65 minutes continuous at a 3mph (about 5kph) rate. That means, I ran 3.1m yesterday and 3.2m today and guess what? That's a freaking 5K!!! Wooot! I will take that any day of the week!! Yay me. NSV!

Here's today's NSV... I have had clothes in sizes 16 - 24 in my closet for years and years. Today I was sick of having to dig through hanger after hanger to find something that fits. This is mostly pants, skirts, and jeans. I pulled anything that was bigger than a size 18. My closet is much emptier now and I'm thrilled! Sent from my SM-G960W using BariatricPal mobile app

You look like you had a blast!!! Great NSV! Congrats -
What a blast! I think it's possible this is an even biggger NSV for your kids. For the first time ever Mommy joined them in the tubes! I know for my son, the biggest NSV is when I chased him down the stairs, round the truck and out into the street. I almost caught him too . For me, the biggest thing about NSVs like this is that they have real impact on our children.

DD's been busy so last night DH insisted on taking me out to get a new pair of jeans for our trip this weekend (off to see DS1)...apparently my old high-top relaxed fit Mom jeans are baggy in all the wrong places. The kids have been telling me daily that my pants are too big. Finding a perfect pair of jeans is hard these days!!! Do you want waist-high, mid-rise, low-rise, curvy, skinny, tummy panel, stretch, straight-leg, boot-cut, and don’t get me started on all the colors, wear marks, and decorations. Then I had to decide on length…I’ve lost an inch (down to just under 5’9”) so now regulars are too short and longs are too long. Well, I sent DH on to the other store to pick up a prescription while I got to work. He was back about the time I finally decided what I was looking for and I knew I had work fast and be out within 30 min. (he didn’t get the shopping gene). I took about 8 pair into the dressing room…all too big? I tentatively came back out and sent DH to grab some 14’s…THEY FIT!!!! OK, the size 14’s now are more generous than when I last wore 14’s many moons ago, but THEY FIT!!! My 16’s, I’ve been wearing, I’ve been back into twice in the last 10 years, but 14’s…I believe that was several children ago. Size 24 to a 14...awesome. I ended up with some dark blue (no wear lines on the front- the horizontal lines across my hips and thighs made my widest part look wider), plain pocket (I don’t need decorations on the back pockets drawing attention to my bum), mid-rise (no more ‘Mom Jeans’), straight leg, 14L’s (hope they shrink a tiny bit). OK, they’re not the coolest pair of jeans, but I’ll have plenty of time to look for those…maybe, just maybe…when I reach a size 12! The nicest part came as we got back in the car (within 30 min. I might add). DH said ‘You’ve been working so hard to get the weight off, you needed a pair of jeans that fit you…you look great!’ A nice NSV... Well we're off tomorrow to PSU to see DS1 and I can't wait to see him. We're all going to the big game (OSU-PSU Look for us, we'll be the only ones in Red as it's a PSU White-Out) and yes, DS1 and his buds have been tenting in Paternoville all week (he says he's freezing). It's been killing me that the fraternity has kept him there on the weekends we had planned. If it wasn't for DH I would have packed up and gone out there just to see him between classes...I know, I know...time to let go a little. Saturday is my Blogiversary...so stay tuned!

Two Nsv! Only 10 Days Post Op :)

Whoo hoo! I love this! Celebrate EVERY NSV! -
My experience has been that you will have many times along your journey when you will loose weight and there will be weeks that you will not lose weight. In either case you may be doing the same program of eating and exercising. It is also natural to get discourage so you began to look for NSV (non scale victories). In my case I have gone from a 54 inch waist to a 38 inch waist. I used to take diabetes medicine now I don't. So it is not always about the weight loss Take care.

Question...what has been the hardest thing to deal with post op?
VSGAnn2014 replied to swtpea637's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Linda, just keep posting -- about the good, the bad, the losses, the wins, the challenges, the NSVs.
