Congratulations! I hadn't thought about it, but that is one of my NSVs as well. Besides my wedding ring, I have a diamond ring that my mother left me. I would really like to be able to wear that one again. As that one is larger than my wedding band, I'll shoot for that one first. Congratulations again. Nice to be reminded that it is not just about the scale.

Just wanted to chime in that I got a two-fer when I went to my doctor light headed this week He stopped one of my blood pressure meds... hence the lightheadedness. Then he went on to remove Diabetes from my chart! I nearly cried.

I just got home from my three month appointment and it looks like I will officially become a loser towards the end of July! I am pretty pumped up. I cant wait to start seeing some NSVs. This fall I am going to sit in a tree stand while hunting and not praying that the 300lb weight limit on the stand was just a suggestion. So far my biggest worry is the drain tube and catheter. But it will be worth it!

So went to Knott's berry Farm last Thursday... I have not been to an amusement park in such a long time. The embarrassment of not fitting on rides is a little to much to take sometimes....but this time it was different. I was able to go on every single rollercoaster and thrill ride. I had an amazing time and logged in about 7 miles of walking with no real tiredness. It was great to have so much energy and feel so NORMAL! 3 months in and it has already changed my life.

My best Christmas present and NSV was getting up yesterday for Church, and putting on a regular size 14 pair of jeans ( a little big) and a cute VS top. Then I put my super cute Victoria Secret hoodie with angle wings on the back, borrowed my daughters super cute scarf. And off to Mass I went, it felt so good..... I am truley blessed to have made it this far. Thank you God and band for helping me get here.

Yesterday, I went back for my six month visit to the biomedical research facility that is conducting a long term study on patients having lap band surgery. (Participating in the study is how I had my surgery and all follow up fills done for free.) My first NSV is that I lost seven inches around my waist. My second NSV is that my BP was 110/72. My third NSV was when I stopped on the way home to Dress Barn. I immediately walked in the store and turned to the left for the "Women's" sizes. A sales clerk approached me to ask if she could assist me. I said "No, I'm just looking around." She asked if I was shopping for myself or someone else. I responded, "For myself." She responded, "Mam, you should be shopping in the other half of the store, the "Misses" Department. Guess what? She was right! I fit in size LARGE. LARGE never felt so SMALL. My final NSV happened as I walked into the gym. Approaching the door was an old acquaintance. I greeted him and told him hello, but I could tell, he just politely responded back, but didn't try to make conversation. Halfway through my workout, he approached me and said he hadn't even recognized that it was even ME, since I lost so much work..... The OLD ME was unrecognizable!!!! Not a bad day!

Hahaha I had a partial chinectomy, but not a full one yet. I am hoping my next NSV is visible collar bones! -
I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would do a progress report. I started at 270 lbs. and am now 222! I have lost a total of 48 lbs and could not be happier with my decision to have the sleeve. I am wearing clothes that have been packed away for over 2 years. I feel so much better!! I can get my wedding rings on my finger again!! My best NSV so far was about a week ago. We have a really small bathroom and while I was in Front of the mirror getting ready for work my husband went to squeeze by me to use the bathroom and instead of squeezing through like he use to do he just walked right behind me. He stopped and was like wow!! Thats proof of how much smaller you are!! It really made me feel good!!

This weekend I went to a preschooler's birthday party. There wasn't a lot for the adults to do but sit around and talk to one another as the kiddos went crazy. After sitting for several hours in a camp chair my back was starting to ache. I switched to another upright chair and it was better, but I just couldn't get comfortable. I started squirming around looking for a comfortable position and suddenly I just crossed my legs. That was it, that simple. I was able to cross my legs. I haven't done that in years...I mean YEARS! ( at least 15+) I suddenly realized what I had done and started giggling to myself. I didn't sit too long with my legs crossed for the simple fact I have vascular issues and it isn't good for that. But it was an unexpectedly happy NSV. Even though I am not quite half way to goal, I have a body that moves so much better now. I love it!

This was one of my favorite NSV's!!! I always felt like I looked like a chipmunk... and i actually avoided smiling because it would make my eyes look tiny and my cheeks blow up lol! It is awesome to not worry about that now!!!! Congrats -
Yey now I'm not such a newbie I know the answer to something! A NSV is what is known as a Non scale Victory. Something fun that does not necessarily show up on the scale. See all that I've learned from these smart folks? :) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I saw you back there! Congratulations, great NSV!

God, when I think I have it bad, someone always has it worse. I do hope the brain tumor can be removed soon. I haven't had many NSVs lately. In fact, my M.A. program has been the subject of much criticism so work doesn't help much. But I'm going to quit running that program. If Mother goes to the nursing home, maybe I can calm down but I'm seriously worried about getting her settled there and the cost of the place. I will check your NSV list. I really appreciate people like you.

Wonderful NSV. -
Wow!!! You girls are all doing great!! Michelle - 70 lbs, awesome!! Kelly - 30 lbs to goal, wonderful!! Meggie - 45lbs, great job!! Life definitely does happen!! I can't believe it's been 8 weeks for us. I have lost 27 lbs since the surgery which I feel is kinda of slow but I also lost 43 lbs prior. I am very happy with a total of 70 lbs since February. I finally had to clean out my closet and get some smaller clothes, my 24's were literally falling off. I think my favorite NSV since the surgery happened on a recent business trip. I got on the plane and felt totally comfortable in that tiny little seat AND I had an extra 6 inches of seatbelt!! It was awesome!! Let's keep rockin' this sleeve girls.
