That's awesome,,especially no pain! That's a heck of an nsv for sure!!
  6. I do high intensity Water aerobics most every Tuesday and Thursday. On Tuesday, my swimsuit about fell off (I bought it in February when I was still about a 24W or thereabouts) so when I saw that Macys had clorine resistant suits for 50% off I had to snap one up. I was so excited to pick a black suit with hot pink trim including a zipper up the front! My inner thighs are gross so I wear these sorta bicycle short things under the suit. the total effect isn't too hideous. The suit I had before was a tankini worn with shorts which was great at first, but when it got too big, it was a little bit of a train wreck. It did cover my thighs, but I was in danger of stepping out of the pool and leaving the suit behind - something I DON'T want to have happen! Anyway, NSV #1 - I fit into and 18! Not an 18W, and actual honest to goodness 18! I started in the 26W range, and what a difference! NSV #2 - I had 3 people in my water aerobics class come up and tell me how good I looked, how i must have lost weight suddenly and how much they liked the suit. I saw these same people on Tuesday, but wearing a dumpy looking too big suit just isn't flattering and they really noticed the difference. I am starting to feel so much closer to "normal" sized even though I still have a lot to lose.
  7. I was sitting at my parents house tonight with my 3 year old and realized I was crossing my legs! I haven't (comfortably) been able to cross my legs for a while. Made me happy.
  8. Hi Everyone, This morning I had a NSV which struck me to ask this question here. I bought a dress long ago, could never get into them (Yes, yes, i didn't try them on.. but it's so pretty!). Tried them this morning, it was kinda lose... but, at the arm hole, it's tight... So I was wondering, if you can all share which body part do you think it's the hardest to loose the inches and what do you intend/have done to help? Personally, its the arms for me. The skin is really loose there, i've been applying all kinds of lotion, spanx, etc, it's just going too slow. Now my arms look like their bigger than my body ( ok , I wish...) Gwynne

    My Nsv

Thats not silly! I would definately count that as a NSV! great job! You should uodate your surgery info. I went to see how long its been since your surgery and there wasn't anything there. And yes LBT has took the place of my facebook.---it seems like my world is revolving around the band and weight loss and frankly others get tierd of hearing about it. but on here, I love to hear everyone NSV and even their trails and errors....it seems like we all understand each other.---cool thing to be a part of.
  16. One of my best NSVs has been the ability to sit in both vinyl and canvas lawn chairs without worrying about them collapsing under me!

Kath, it's not a small achievement at all. That's awesome. Congrats to you and all the "small" NSV's you {and we} get as they all amount to one big one in the end!!

    Nsv - Fire Drill

That is a great NSV! Well done!
  21. I work at a school. We just had a fire drill. It is my job to grab the emergency kit (in a backpack). At the last fire drill I could not pull it over my shoulders. Today I noticed that some people had their backpack on. I thought, why not try? IT FIT! I'm down 50 pounds since December. YAY me! !

Yay Meredith! Way to go! I just got a shock at the doctor's office myself. my scale this morning said I hadn't lost anymore lbs. However, the doctor's scale had me down another 1.5lbs! My total is 55.5...I half-way to goal...WOOT WOOT!!! Now...if I can just get rid of another 6.5 to hit my Onderland goal by June 1st...by the way...whose birthday is June 1st? I'm so sorry...but I've forgotten. lol. ValAnn...I'm with you. I am finally wearing skirts and dresses without stockings (most of the time..lol). I never would before losing weight. I also love being able to wear sleeveless or little cap-sleeved shirts. I wore a fitted blouse last week (you can see it my photo gallery...royal blue), and one of my co-workers was like "okay...no more loose clothing for you! From now on you wear fitted shirts and show off that waist!" What a great NSV that was! Everyone have a wonderfully blessed day!!

Hi everyone, Memorial Day weekend coming up got me thinking about last year at this time. I was dreading putting on a bathing suit, dreading trying to fit into rides at our local amusement park, dreading going to the beach on vacation, etc, etc, etc. Fast forward to this year: looking forward(mostly to wearing a bathing suit, super excited to take the kids to the amusement park, beyond excited for our beach vacation, etc. etc etc. I am looking forward to wearing shirts with no sleeves! That is a huge NSV for me. I was always so HOT in the summer because of all the clothes I felt I needed to wear. I would always look enviously at the women in sundresses, sleeveless tanks and other cute stuff. Finally get to wear it myself this year! What are you looking forward to this summer?

I got a shock of my life this morning when I got on the scale. I lost 3lbs! I finally broke the plateau and I'm 1lb away from losing 40lbs! Was it that I go off my butt after 3 weeks and did a 5 mile workout yesterday, I highly doubt it but it didn't hurt. After eating those tortilla chips with cheddar cheese, peanuts and fiber thins for the past few nights I am in shock. So, now my question is, what IF I hadn't eaten all that junk? Would I have lost more lbs? Damn!! LOL Seriously, I'm fine with the 3lbs Also, I had two NSV's this weekend. Sat night we had dinner at my sister's and one of her friends told her how great I looked. The following day, I bumped into one of her other friends {both gals I haven't seen since last summer}, who texted her saying how great I looked. Mind you, my sister is a size 7 and her friends are even smaller then she is! And the fact that my sister shared that with me was priceless as she's so happy for me. And guess where I'm going after writing this, back upstairs to the gym and working out! The Memorial weekend is upon us, I need to get in some exercise to keep the weight down.
