It's such an amazing accomplishment. Congrats on your success, and best wishes for many more NSVs in the near future. -

yayyyy! u & me 67 lbs gone forever. size 14 it is sooooo goooooooood !! Now the hair loss thing. Yup, mine started at 4 months out. I am still loosing some at the 6 month mark, don't know when it will stop. Maybe at 9 months? I don't miss it as I have so darn much of it. My hair is actually more managable now. ( is that an nsv?) anyway you are doing super, keep at it and just come post once in awhile. That is what I am doing. lol -
I'm walking 4 to 5 miles but was able to get in a .25 mile jog with my son running beside me. He's an athlete in great shape it felt so great to run with him. My goal is a mile just one step at a time. Sleeved 2/29 starting weight 242 current weight 215

My NSV today. Got my haircut tonite. The gal that normally cuts my hair hasn't seen me in 2 months. When she saw me she was all OMG. You look great. When she put the cape on me. She says your neck is so smalliI had no trouble snapping it. What a great feeling. 65 lbs pre-op just short of 4 weeks post-op another 45 lbs gone. Love my sleeve. It is gonna be a fun ride. -
Nsv - Airline Seatbelts!
dsferfeargregrhgttrhht posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I flew for the first time this weekend since having the surgery in July. Wow! What a difference. I used to be able to put the seatbelt on, but it would be snug and stretched out to the max length. When I put it on this time around, I pulled a good 6-10 inches of seatbelt to make it fit properly. The scale hasn't moved in a month or more, but things like this are keeping me going! -
How are you doing? Weight loss? Nsvs? Ups downs struggles? Regrets?

I don't get it. :(
makemyownluck replied to makemyownluck's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I must be losing inches.. I've never taken measurements, but if all my clothes are too big, I must be losing inches, right? I guess I'm just a lil mad too because when I was doing my pre-op stuff, I was losing weight at a much faster rate... then I have this surgery to 'help it along' and I'm stalled out!! I'm trying to stay patient, but it's hard! Still having NSVs, though... like wearing jeans that haven't fit me in years! And I have gotten a lot of compliments lately... I'm gonna keep my focus and keep working on this! It will be a welcome and wonderful relief when that scale starts dipping down again! -
So today I set a goal for myself to walk 10 miles. I left my house at 7 and returned at 10. I did it. I walked the 10 miles. Along the way I discovered something awesome. My thighs don't rub together anymore. For a while they would just be stuck together and my legs would move when I walked. Over the last few months as I've been losing weight they started to rub. Now, both my legs move independently of each other. No more rubbing. The dark chaiffing that I've had for ever is finally starting to fade, too! On another note, I'm noticing the closer I get to my goal the harder it is for me to stay away from crap I know I shouldn't eat. But, I'm going to keep pushing on and take each craving one at a time. I love my sleeve!

If you want to see what I am talking about you can check it out at dagorhir.com ... ...okay, so a MUCH younger me was always doing some sort of martial art - and at about 18 fell in LOVE with armed european swordplay - european martial arts, that sort of thing...so I fought in the SCA and other groups...I loved it and I was really good at it. And then I packed on the weight and I just could not keep up. I lacked the arm reach and I was always injuring myself... Sunday I participated in an event again for the first time, and I KICKED ASS, lol. I was mediocre, actually...but it was the first time in fifteen years, and I won sparring events and survived the meley. You may need to locate a nerd to interperate... I was getting some Water, which is on the otherside of a bamboo wall in the park we were in and I heard one of the more experienced guys (who I almost beat 5/6) say "she hasn't done this is 15 years? really???" you can't see it, but the sun is shining from WITHIN me right now, this - feels - sooo - freakin' - good!
-
We nerds will take over the world! Very proud of your NSV!!

I was sleeved the same day as you. I too have been on a 3.5 week stall. The scale finally moved yesterday, but it was a small move. It's frustrating, but I'm going to keep doing what I have been doing, because I know the scale will eventually move. A NSV is that I lost 16.75 inches so far.

I bought a size 12 in jeans yesterday!!! Woohooo! Down 40lbs and feeling amazing.
-
Yesterday as I left the house to take my kids to school my pants, which were almost too small 4 weeks ago, took a serious trip south! Good thing the sidewalk was empty. Someone would have gotten an eye full!

You look awesome! Congrats! Now, would someone please yell me what "NSV" is without laughing at me :/

1. Having my shoulder strap on my purse actually stay on my shoulder. 2. Being able to pull my jeans up and down without unbuttoning or unzipping. 3. Crossing my legs like a lady instead of a lumberjack. 4. Officially having only 1 backroll instead of 2. 5. No more boobie bulge and almost bursting button on my blouses. Try saying that 5 times fast... 6. Having to wear a belt with my uniform pants and having several coworkers tell me I need to get new uniforms because mine were just "too big" Some times it's just the little things that make life seem so much brighter.

Small Victories
Inner Surfer Girl replied to wwboy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just think we need to address your choice of vocabulary. "Small" NSVs? These sound pretty big to me! Congratulations, and Embrace the Stall! -
My new NSV is being able to shop on the right side of the store when I go in a Cato or Dress Barn store. lol. They have regular Misses sizes to the right and Women's sizes to the left. I get Lane Bryant catalogs in the mail and can now put them in the trash. Yippee!

Put on my calf-high boots today for the first time in FOREVER! I feel like a kid in a candy store - everything fits! On a more health related note, excercising feels a million times easier. I am actually back to enjoying running and sweating again! My attitude towards food has totally changed as well. I still like it, but I am quite indifferent as to my portions and what I can eat, where as before I wouldn't be able to top thinking about putting that last bite into my already full belly! This is how I always wanted to eat, and how was meant to be. I am so excited for everyone scheduled for and considering this surgery! Best thing I have ever done.

I would have done the same. That is great. My nsv yesterday happened when I had to buy medium scrub bottoms for my new job. I have never been a medium anything.
