  2. this is my first snow day that I will NOT be sitting around eating all day! :) YAY NSV!

  3. I had a great NSV yesterday! Had my 6 month dental cleaning. I used to have a hard time leaning forward to discard the mouthwash to the bowl with my belly... this time it was no problem reaching it. It was nice not getting it down the front of me for change. :)

  4. NSV!!! I had to go to a Xmas party (one of those that is work related) but I didn't have any nice clothes in my current size -- a friend loaned me her size 18s and I had something to wear! What is the NSV you might ask?? I BORROWED CLOTHES FROM A FRIEND! I haven't done that since college (over 25 years ago!!) whoo whoo!

  5. Good morning my fellow losers!! I have a little bit of an NSV today. I have a pair of Size 14 pants that I'm actually able to wear out in public on today. Yay!!! :)) Now, I'm not gonna get too far ahead of myself, I know they are probably made big, but oh well. I'm rockin these sob's today!! ;o)

  6. Having so many NSVs and even a few SVs. It's really exciting, even though I've still got a ways to go.

  7. NSV -- 40 minutes on treadmill today! 286 calories burned!

  8. Posted this on my FB while the site was down... ;-P Too good not to share: Wahoooo!!! Total NSV today!!! I went shopping at Target and they had some cute pink workout jackets I'd been wanting on clearance. Well, they only had XXL, XL, M, S, XS left. None in L - so I tried on the Medium totally expecting to be let down but it fit!!! OMG... I can't lie it looks really cute on me too - showing off the cute figure I'm working so hard for. I'm elated!!! :-)

  9. Hittin' that treadmill y'all!! Here's a little fun NSV... I'm wearing my old workout pants. They are so big on me now!!! They used to be so tight... LOL :)

  10. So today I went in for my four month post op visit. My bp was 109/73 I have been off my blood pressure pills since September. My latest labs are all good. From the day I first saw him in late July I weighed 208 today I weighed 159! I am beyond happy and the icing on my cake an ultimate NSV my surgeon asked if I would send him a before and after picture on his web site!! My feet still haven't touched the ground.

  11. NSV - I have noticed myself running up the stairs to my front porch! #wls

  12. I had my 1st post op appointment and I am down 17lbs. I am so estatic. I have already received comments on my appearance. I also had a NSV (non scale victory). I can now climb a flight of stairs without having to stop for 3 mins to catch my breath before moving on. Yay! I am scheduled for my 1st fil on 9/13. I almost got one yesterday however the nurse advised against it since I had a hiatal hernia repaired with the lap band. All is well here, I feel great.

  13. Major NSV

Went to the movies with my children and refilled the popcorn bucket for them multi times and didn't touch a drop!

    I stuck with coffee

BRAVO!! Taking your power and turning your back on the stuff. Love those NSVs.

  14. Not a problem getting it off pre-surgery, but now I can't wear it post. I was talking with a co-worker gesturing with my hands when my ring flew off of my finger! I will get it sized probably around my 1 year surgiversary. Just one NSV to look forward to.
  15. NSV...I managed to go all Easter weekend and didn't even eat one piece of candy!! Whoot-Whoot and I got the Scale Victory this morning...Had my first official weight check at Kaiser and I am officially down 10 of the 25# I have to lose before I can schedule my sleeve surgery!! Happy Monday!!
  16. Ok I know I posted about it on my status thingy but I wanted a post too! Anyway I work at a school for emotionally disturbed children. I absolutely LOVE what I do. But it can be hard at times. I hear "fat B*tch* pretty often. But, I'm rather used to it.. and don't let it get to me. I have been wondering lately if any of the kids have noticed my weight loss. I mean everyone else is ALWAYS commenting on it.. so Yeah. Today I'm sitting in my area with a student who is waiting on his bus. We start talking. Him: Can I ask you a question? Me: Sure! Him: Have you lost weight? Me: (unsure what to say!) Does it look like it?! Him: Yes, so did YOU?! lol. I just loved it! YAY! Plus both my brothers have now commented on my weight loss. telling me I look great. this is HUGE for me because I have ALWAYS been so much bigger than them
  17. I posted on here a couple weeks ago about my worries with traveling. I'm back from my trip to California and pleased to say I didn't have any troubles at all! For the first time in my adult life, I didn't need seat belt extenders on any of the flights. We walked and hiked up mountains and I was able to do it. I look at pictures and am not appalled. This surgery is the best thing that could have happened to me. On the scale, I haven't lost since Christmas. But thinking more positively, I can't think of the last time I went throughout the holiday season and on a vacation without gaining a ton of weight. So here's to committing myself to exercise and eating better in the new year. But right now, I am pretty darn happy! )
  18. I was shopping at Target this weekend. My wife suggested we browse the men's clothing section. I caught a glance of myself in a mirror and my 40in waist pants looked baggy in the seat. I mentioned this to my wife and she said "I know. That's why we are here". I bought a few pairs of 38in pants. I started my weight loss in tight 46in pants.
  19. I havent posted for awhile, but I had to tell a funny story. I was modeling an outfit that I bought to wear to Chicago next weekend for my mom to get her opinion. My son came in and said " you look like a teenager". Now I dont know if it was really a compliment, but I guess I will take it as one. Made me laugh!! Quick update; im down 58 pounds. have been plateaued for the past month or so. But finally started losing this past week. Which is weird, cause I havent even been trying. I was just planning on riding it out until after the holidays and start again. I guess I will see how far I can go with this wave of weight loss!! hope all is well with everyone
  20. Hubs and I and another couple went to dinner last Saturday night. I always dreaded being seated in a booth bc i was always snug or my belly touched the table. As I gained more weight I found it hard to hold my head over the table when I ate bc my tummy was holding me back. Well we got seated in a booth Saturday. I cringed at first and thought... No I got this. We then started to eat... I looked down... My tummy was not touching the table and I had extra room! I was so excited. Just had to share.
  21. This is my favorite NSV too! I still have to remind myself to NOT say, "table, not booth," when being seated at a restaurant. Congratulations!
  22. That's a huge NSV! I had the same problem pre sleeve. Also, yesterday I noticed I don't have to tilt my booty over to put my seatbelt on anymore! Haha!
  23. I have an odd NSV. I got rid of my scale yesterday. That thing has become my enemy. I know they say keep you friends close, but keep your enemies closer. Lol! Unfortunately, we had to part ways. I am one of those people that will weigh themselves several times a day. Then I get discouraged and it's all down hill from there. You see I am used to losing one pound a day and if I don't do that I get upset. I am losing tons of inches, don't know for sure how many so far because I never measured myself. I should have. I have dropped 4 pant sizes, 26 to an 18/20 and have went from a 46c to a 42b in about three weeks. Going to the gym is really dropping the inches, guess I thought I would lose equal parts inches and weight. Anyways, that enough of my rant, thanks for listening.
  24. My husband and were both sleeved in April. I had no health issues. My husband has diabetes, HBP, high everything! Well.... He went for his bloodwork last Saturday. His doctor called him around 6pm personally to tell him that all his numbers were PERFECT!!' he said they were better than his own!! Doc took him off of two meds now, and after three months another round of bloodwork to see what else he can come off of. We're so thrilled for this. LOVE OUR SLEEVES!!!!!!
  25. Good job ! I know its an incredible feeling! You have actually achieved a scale and a NSV!
