Unfortunately I am a slave to the scale and I always relate my weight loss to scale victories. Today is a different story though. As I was giving my daughter a bath I was leaning over and realized that I was resting my chin on my chest. There was no roll of fat or extra skin between my chin and my chest. It sits right on there! OMG! I'm freaking out about it! It's awesome! LOL!

Can not believe how much time went by since my surgery!!! I am grateful of the results that I have enjoyed so far. Like most slow losers, I wish I had lost more! But things are moving along. I am making changes that will not only help me lose the weight now, but keep if off in the long run. I just went through a super stall, BUT to my surprise I got the most comments and compliments during that period!! Go figure lol!! My upper body slimmed down significantly, but my lower body is stubborn and will not be as flexible:( I did lose, but not as drastically as my top did. I hope that will be the next site of improvement or I am going to look very disproportionate:( NSV: I wore heels for the first time in YEARS today! And I felt ( do I dare say ) so SEXY lol!!! I am of good spirit and faith. I am going to win this fight.

One of the great NSVs. Just this week a couple of coworkers started calling me, "skinny". I replied, "you can call me skinny all day long." Enjoy it! Congrats! -

It's all about NSVs!! Congrats! -
Pre-op, I was dealing with elevated liver enzymes and pre-diabetic. Based on some labs I had yesterday, all blood levels are normal including the panel for checking the liver enzymes. It must be the clean diet I have been on for 3 months.

Congratulations and I have the same NSV but instead of 29 years it was close to 13 14 years. More good things will come eventually you will not be on any medication

I had another great NSV. The day of surgery I was in a 54 bra, today I bought a 38!

Self Pay And Credit Card Question...
SageTracey replied to pushagrrl's topic in Insurance & Financing
Surely there are too many variables involved for us to answer? It would depend on your credit cards and banks, as well as how the surgery processes the payments. You might get a more definitive answer by speaking with your bank/s and surgery. Good luck. PS Why not plan to use the miles/rewards points as a celebration for a post-surgery NSV? Something to work towards and look forward to. -
mjrevel great when things like that happen - many more NSV will happen too happy for you

Today when I returned to the office from being out of town, a co-worker stopped and said "wow. You look narrower from under your arms to your waist." For what that's worth?!? A bit of a 'different' compliment but I'll take it!

I don't have surgery until next week, but I've been doing Water aerobics in preparation. Between the pre-pre-op diet, pre-op diet, and knowing that I'll be able to keep it off this time, I shrunk out of my bathing suit bottom! I finished the routine with one hand around my waistband. Not giving up yet.

I work at a semiconductor plant in a cleanroom. We have to wear these white jumpsuits and hoods to keep particles (i.e. dust) down. I've worn a size 3X jumpsuit for 10 or 11 years. But yesterday I tried on a 2X and IT FIT!!! I asked my friend if it looked too tight and she said it looked almost too big! I'm so excited.... It makes all this hard work seem like there was nothing to it and I can keep going and fit into even smaller jumpsuits.

Banded on 4/23, my weight loss has been slow. I've lost 41 lbs which I'm totally satisfied with, but bc it has been a slow process I guess I haven't really noticed the changes in my body....until last night. We took the kids to the park & I was preoccupied with my little one, not realizing my oldest was photographing us. I got home & a friend of mine who I haven't seen in awhile text saying how great I looked in a picture my daughter posted on Instagram. So I logged in to check out this picture & was shocked to see myself. I then realized I had a similar picture of myself pre surgery at the same park. I compared the 2 & was in complete shock! What a wonderful NSV!!!

I stalled on this last week but I'm one month post-op today, and 30 pounds down, including the 2 week pre-op diet. Here are pics taken the night before the pre-op diet and some taken today. The night before my 2 week pre-op diet @282 Today, 1 month post-op @ 251 NSV: I left work before surgery wearing 3X scrub set, returned after 3 weeks wearing a 2X set with room.

I have been told this a couple of times lately. If you think about it then it's quite a strange thing for a person to say. I mean if I looked like a needed a band then that would mean that I was still overweight and therefore the band would not have worked. The fact that I don't look like I need/ed a band means that the band has done it's job!

I need to have this done! Today I was talking and of course using my hands to express a point and my ring went flying across the room! Love this NSV!
-
Yup, me too. I waited until I got to goal as I had a titanium ring and those can't be re-sized and didn't want to have to buy a new ring and then have it re-sized once I got to goal. I bought a new wedding band, which made me sad because it is not the ring from our wedding, but on the other hand, it is nice to not have sausage fingers, sooo ... Congrats. It is a nice, unexpected NSV

had an amazing Non Scale Victory today- I have been wearing my grandmothers engagement ring on my right ring finger and my Tiffany's ring on my left middle finger.. well they have been getting looser and looser so today I finally decided it was time to resize them.. My gramma's ring went from an 8 to a 6 for my ring finger and my Tiffany went from a 9 to a 7.25! holy cow im losing inches from all over the place!!!!!

Hey! Words of wisdom again Meg! Loves it! I particularly relate to the 'choice' mantra - I practise this most days - mostly my choices are good and when they are not, I don't stress anymore! I suppose that is an NSV of sorts. It certainly helps with the mental side of weight loss and struggling to get to goal. I have been home from my holidays for ages now... over a month. Lost the holiday weight, and now bouncing around from 163-164-165 ... I still weigh most mornings - got to to make sure that I don't go over the bounce range and I think partly to torment myself...lol! Would love to see the scale lower, but, well we'll see how the ole body reacts. Next mth the stall will be a year old... thinking of starting a new thread...lol! I am really convinced that my stall is hormone related... although I am still taking my tablets to stop the hot flushes, they are back! Not like before but they are getting worse - I am trying to get an appointment to discuss this with my doc, perhaps I need to change my tablets now?

Awesome NSV!
