I am SO happy! I just got home from my 6 month check up. I am down 88 POUNDS!!!! I am Thrilled! I absolutely LOVE my sleeve! Twelve pounds away from loosing 100 lbs.!! I have never been able to loose that much weight. Ever. I am so thankful fort he sleeve. This surgery is a life saver! I had a HUGE NSV last month. I have not been able to go to the grocery store with out using the electric scooter for over 2 years. Since last month I have been able to use a regular grocery cart and shop on my own sans kids for the help. I can't believe the change I have made. I can walk and shop again!!!!In August I had to go on an airplane. I DID NOT need a seat belt extender! Life is getting so much better! I feel so blessed! I only wish I could have done the surgery a decade (or more!) ago! -
Yay Libby!!! That's a super NSV! Love it!!

Bought a new pair of dress slacks yesterday, down 2 sizes... Wore them today and my husband and are walking down the hall to an appt. When we got alone in a room, he says "Baby, your butt is looking good, I mean really" He's not normally one to throw too many compliments so that made my day!

My 1St Vacation With My Sleeve!

I really love this NSV! -
Well, I was sleeved 9/5 all in all its been fine physically. Mentally its been tough. I've been at the dreaded 3 week stall but last night I got out of the shower and was able to wrap the towel around myself and it closed. I also didn't have to use my clothes to cover my butt. The towel doubled over. Yippee for me. I did get on the scale and I'm still only down 22lbs but I know now about those inches. It's true pre sleevers the inches do come off without the lbs. I didn't believe it but I'm still the same weight as last week but the towel didn't fit then.

Im 34 yrs old and I was outside flipping and jumping with my kids. WOW. cant describe that feeling to be able to play with my children like this. Its almost euphoric. What a blessing. Glory to God

Has Anyone's Obesity Side Effects Stopped After Weight Loss?
Rootman replied to Malisima69's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
A big YES. I had high BP, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, shortness of breath, high resting heart rate, nasty eczema, sweat like a trooper constantly and had no stanima. Alsmost two years out with 2 full physicals behind me and it's all in the past. BP is npw typically 110/70, cholsterol is 133 / 64 trig., resting heart rate is about 70, eczema is cleared up and a LOT more energy. I now swim 2-4 hours a week and bike about 100 miles a week. The best part is I no longer sweat much. This effect was immediate without the weight loss and I can't explain it. I have a theory that it's due to the cutting of the tail end of the vagas nerve but this does not make sense, regardless it is one of the BEST NSV's I have had. I used to sweat even as a skinny little kid si it was not due entirly to my weight. -
Piplula Congrats Clothes are one of the great NSV's - we can see/feel amazing results/changes from our weight loss No Such thing as a small NSV

Hi all. I've been quiet too of late. I work in the food and beverage dept of a leagues club and you can imagine how busy I've been leading up to last night. Plus school holidays etc. did you know it's only 85 more sleeps until Christmas? Neither did I until at 6 am I was woken up and informed. *groan* Weight has been steady, not stalled, just coming off very slowly. Joined the gym and realised that you have to actually GO to get the benefits of it. I'm sitting at about 73ish kg ATM, surgery weight was 86 6weeks ago. I know I had less to lose and I'm happy with what I've lost, but I still can't see a difference in the mirror, and I'm hearing all these big numbers, which I'm jealous of. 10kgs until I'm in the healthy weight range, although I'd like to lose 15 more. I traded in my old size 16 work shirts for size 12 which is a good thing, another NSV I guess. Still have 2 more weeks of soft foods before I'm on full solids. I can eat 1 chicken tenderloin with a bit of low fat dressing and that's about it. I'm stuffed. Still struggle to finish an Optifast shake or bar. Drink at least 1L of Water a day and have had the swisse hair skin and nails Vitamins since before surgery, but they are HUGE so haven't started taking them yet. I take a nexium everyday, and can really tell the days I've forgotten it. Acid feels exactly like hunger. Will keep taking it. That's about it for me. Hope every1 is well and I'm still thinking of Lila.

Yesterday i had to go photo a wedding. I figured i had NO dress clothes that now fit me, So yesterday morning i went shopping. I know i must have made the store mad cause well i tried on about everything in the store. I ended up buying a pair of stretchy pants that was a size 18 and a shirt that was a size 14/16 I was excited by that but even more excited by the fact that i tried on some shirts form the NORMAL side of the store...Yea not the plussize side. I found shirts that was xlarge there taht FIT ME!!! I know this sounds silly but no one knows how happy i felt thinking that i could buy stuff from that side if i choose... Next week i am going back and buying those 2 shirts just for ME! I posted a new after pic and going to attach it to this email as well. I for the first time in a picture saw the actual weight loss. On my way GO TURTLE GO!!! I do miss hearing from you all...
