      Hang in there, it will pass. Take it from the queen of the stalls! LOL

  2. Supposed to close on our houses (old and new) a week from today. Still have no official word on a move-in date. Really starting to stress over not being able to make plans.

  3. I had an RNY and a gallbladder removal on 7/24/15 and I am REALLY struggling emotionally!!! My food is good for the most part (I do dump sometimes tho) and weight loss is good too but my main issue is severe loneliness. I have NO ONE that I can discuss anything with or anyone for that matter that understands the new changes in my life. I lost my best friend due to this surgery (my changes were too much for her) so she did not come to help me during my recovery as promised (she lives in another state). I talk to her rarely now but it is very difficult because I am still hurting deeply. I am divorced and my two adult children are not supportive either. They have never been much anyway because they are so selfish. They emotionally abused me by starting confrontations the same week I came home from the hospital. Since they have chosen to disrespect my healing process I only interact with them when necessary. I have always been a strong, private woman (the one who others reach out to) and pride myself for not being what I call "needy" but my sadness has become so severe that I now know that I need to reach out. I need interactive, consistant people who want to be friendly and share. I am looking to not only be supported but I am looking to be supportive as well. There are no good WLS support groups in my area so I am reaching out here, thanks for listening! :)

      I am so sorry you are going through this. Support is certainly very important at this time, so I hope we here on this board can be of some support to you! My surgery was about 6 weeks before you (RNY on June 4).

  4. Surpassed my 5 yr banddiversary last week. Woot!

  6. Had my 3-month (really, 3.5-month) follow-up appointment with my surgeon this morning. I've exceeded his one-year weight loss goal. He kept saying, "Wow!" and "Amazing!" Made me feel pretty good, as I'm still having a lot of trouble wrapping my mind around my weight loss.

  7. Starting my OPTIFAST diet and doing the pre op class tomoorow. What should I expect? I am so nervous now this is finally happening, it's really hitting me now. Have to do Optifast for two weeks.

  8. Its been a week after my 2nd fill and I definitely get fuller with less food now, I can feel a little bit of more restriction but very little. I'm hoping 3rd time's the charm but we will see. I'm well aware it's different for all of us. On a side note my elliptical has made its way back into my bedroom. Hopefully I can make my way onto it :)

      I know the struggle is real. Don't worry when you are ready you'll do whatever it takes to move. I loathe exercise but I do it cause I love the rewards! Hang in there!

    Every few weeks I'll snap a photo of myself in the same outfit. I hope then to animate the sequence (once I've lost the weight) and marvel at the change.

  20. Hello, any insight , help or advise needed.. it has been 1 month and half since i had my GS and its been a severe struggle.. multi trips to the ER, I was put back in the hospital for over a week recently, and now they are waiting for a bed to open up again to up me back in hospital and then transfer me to a long term care facility.. I have not been able to eat or drink since my surgery May 8th.. anything that i do put in my mouth and swallow returns violently.  I have had a PICC line in for 2 weeks, this is the only this keeping me alive right now, I don't want this to be my life.. has anyone out experienced anything similar to this? if so pls give me some advise

      I hope they figure out what the problem is soon so you can get on with your life.

  21. 2 weeks & 5 days post op and I'm doing great

    Gatorade w/protein makes me gag now. I think from having so much of it.

    I had the ricotta bake for a few days. I'm in the puree stage but rotisserie chicken, chicken meatballs, cold cuts, & plain tuna don't bother me.

    I had a plain old fashioned peppermint and it made me nauseous...

  22. Can’t believe it was a month on 4/9. It wasn’t easy and still having issues with dizziness while going for walk/protein intake by 5 grams. Sometimes I see the scale move up or at a halt, but I got to remember it’s the non-scale victories that keep me going; being able to go for mile + walk a day or going from size 18 to 14 felt so amazing (no idea when last time I fit into that size was.)  So glad I made this lifestyle change.

  23. Less than a week before gastric bypass surgery. I'm nervous but excited. Been lurking here for a while, reading. I'm about ready as I'm going to get. Down 20 pounds in 3 months. A ton of pre op testing done and cleared. Food/drinks, chewable vitamins, protein, meds bought. On 2-week preop diet now which includes 2 protein shakes a day along with 3 ounces lean protein and 2 1/2 C.  non starchy veggies and is totally do able for me. Clear liquid day before surgery. A full sugar Gatorade night before  and again 2 hrs before arriving at the hospital. Interesting how different everyone's diets are depending on your doctor.

    I'm optimistic all will go well. Good luck to the April surgeries happening this month and to all that are going through the process.  {{hugs}}
