I had a NSV yesterday, usually when I go jogging I usually have to walk for a small amount and then start jogging again. I do that about every 10 minutes. Well yesterday I jogged for 40 minutes without walking. I was so proud of myself. I also had the undies issue a few weeks ago. I was wearing a size 10 at the time. I was changing into another outfit and my husband started laughing and said I needed to go shopping. They were so big on me and I didn't even notice. Wearing size 8 now. -

LOVE all of these!!!! My NSV's are *Went from 5-6 shots a day for diabetes to 1 (ONE!!!!) *From taking 2 orals meds to 1, all for diabetes *Crossing my legs *Bending over to tie my shoes or my son's without getting red in the face or feel like I will pass out *Having my heart rate drop from the 80's to the 60's *NOT feeling like everyone was looking at me thinking how big I was every time I was in public *Buying cuter clothes *Sweating because I want to not because it just occurs naturally from doing not much of anything *Being able to sit like a kid on my couch (ie feet hiked up, knees near my chest kind of thing). Finding at least one picture that I think, 'thats not so bad' instead of any photo of myself making me sick to my stomach That is just a few!!! Can't wait to have many, many more!!!! -

NSV. Walked into a restaurant bathroom last night and was faced with the big handicap stall and the "small" stall. Almost went to the big one when I realized I now have room to move around in the smaller one. It's awesome feeling "normal." -

My NSV today: I have to wear hospital scrubs at work. The trim is colored by size. How embarrassing. Well, they go up to a 2X which is pink. And then, because apparently fat people don't want clothes that fit, they skip to brown, which is a 5x. I managed to still squeeze into a pink top, but I was wearing brown pants. Which were way too big. Today I fit into the pink 2X pants! Yay!!! Side note: If it's ok to only provide two sizes for fat people (2x and 5x), then why don't they throw away the smalls and meduims and make them all wear larges? I have always thought this is fat discrimination! -

Today's NSV is not only having to put a belt on to hold up these size 42 jeans but the belt being so long it wraps 1.5 times around my body LOL -

My first NSV I have been reading a lot of nsv in this tread and most of them are happening to me too, the one that really surprise me was this one, I was shopping yesturday and I always wants to buy color bracelets with matching earrings when I shop for my vacation stufs but the bracelets were always to small for me and I always tell my friend that those bracelets are made for skinny people only but yesturday I tried one that it look nice knowing that will not fit like always but IT DID and I start trying all of them and all fit, I was so happy and surprise that i called my husband to check how they look in my hand, It was my first time in years that I was able to purchase one of those bracelets!!!!! -

You know, sometimes you don't realize you've experienced a NSV right away but then it dawns on you.... Just a few minutes ago, I was on my work laptop just to check my messages because I took yesterday off as a personal day. So, I'm sitting on the couch and reading/writing emails when it occurs to me that my laptop actually fits on my lap. It's sitting perfectly level on my lap...and not up on my belly as it used to. Hallelujah....another drop in the 'I'm normal' bucket. -

Again I had to work at another store for 3 days and most of the girls I work with new me cause I have worked with them before well some of them hadn't seen me in a yr , so when each one of them saw me at different ties they we're like wow you have lost a lot of weight you, can see it in your face , breast and backside , each time we all laughed but I guess this was my latest nsv I still have the fat goggles on so I don't see it but I guess others will let me know and that's ok with me just encourages me more that I am doing the right thing with the help from my tool (band) , -

Just wanted to share a new NSV from this morning. I've been using short handled pocketbooks lately because I don't need to keep a hand free since I don't use the cane anymore. But I still have plenty of shoulder bags so I switched my stuff out last night for a bag I haven't worn in several months. I put it over my shoulder across my body this morning and the darn thing dangled low at my hip. Huh? Oh yeah...the strap doesn't have to go across the same expanse it used to. LOL. I made the strap as short as possible and now it's back at the waist where it belongs. These unexpected NSVs are so much fun! -

I got a new NSV...at work they have the temperature scanners where you stand in front of a screen. The screen has the outline of a person to kind of guide you on where you're supposed to be standing. I didn't used to fit in the outline, now I do!!!!!!! -

Although I've been sewing since I was in 8th grade, I signed up for a class at a local sewing shop. We are all making the same top. We are using a "multi-size" pattern. It was interesting hearing others discuss what size they needed to cut their pattern even if it was a large size because I know 3 years ago I never would of told anyone what size I was! This time I was the smallest person in the room and had no problem discussing my size! That was definitely a NSV for me! -

Update: I didn't get anything. Why? Because all the sizes on sale were Small, or XL or XXL. In several shops. And you know who's completely, boringly normal? Me. And that, my friends, was the NSV of the year. That poor shop lady looked at me like I was an idiot when I said "actually, it's TOTALLY fine that I can't fit into that shirt in XXL. And see, XL doesn't work either", totally happy. She was like "ok kewl, Crazy, now step back from the mirror and like 50 feet out to the street pls or I'll call the cops." -

Tami, Re #1, the rings. Windex works so much better than lotion. It sounds crazy, I learned that at a jewelry store years ago. I have used it since then and it really works better than anything else. Hope your list continues to grow w/ NSV! -

O my gosh. Just wanted to share this. I was sitting at work and look down an saw I had cross my legs. I was amazed and looked at my coworker and said "look my legs are crossed." She had a blank look on her face and I told her this was a first for me in a long time. We had a NSV high five. Yeah for me. -
I get fill #2 tomorrow. All stocked up on liquids. I hope I get some solid restriction with this one. Wish me luck! Oh yeah... NSV today! I walked up the stairs to my profs office on the third floor at school today.... withOUT huffing and puffing! I used to have to stop at the top landing and catch my breath. I wasn't even able to talk right away before. Today I walked right up and even met a friend at the top and had no trouble talking. Whee! It's the little things that really make a difference.

Wenjea, I'm with you on the re-committment!! Of course, I just made the family a vegetable lasagna for dinner (of which I will have NONE, thank you). It does drive me crazy when the scale doesn't move, but what do I expect when I weigh myself every day. I said I wouldn't but I do!! At the end of the month it always seems like I lose at least 7 or 8 pounds, which is exactly where I should be. I just want more. I'm so spoiled. But I'm wicked happy. I love my band!! Cindy Oops, I almost forgot my nsv....I went to buy new pj's the other night, mine were too big, and guess what? I bought 3 pairs of size MEDIUM. yyyeeessss!!!! (I know pajamas probably run big, but I was so excited. I brought all larges in the dressing room and one pair of mediums for shi...s and giggles. Well, I got to giggle cuz I needed ALL mediums.

Oh! for my NSV I wore some new jeans that were NOT from the womens department . . . . no W or X on them anywhere! <br /> <br /> Check them out if you have a Nordstrom by you. they were size 18 in the regular womens department, stretch material, five pocket jeans by Amber sun. I bought them in black on clearance so I don't remember the price but they are the most comfortable pair of jeans I've ever had on. They don't bind anywhere! Check them out especially if you are tall cuz they have long legs. My husband even said my butt looked small in them!!

Oh, and that is a GREAT NSV!!!! I can't wait to go to Lagoon in Utah and ride the rides. The last time we were there, I was the carry on person....ya know....the person to carry everything that others could not carry on the rides..... I did get to go on the Haunted House ride.....and I got stuck trying to get out of my seat....the kid who was running the ride, would not help me get out...it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo embarassing.....

Let me jump onto the blizzard wagon and admit that I had one last night too! I did not even weigh today because I had salty crap and the DQ last night. I'm making enchilada's tonight...... I don't know if I'll be able to eat them or not, but DH loves when I cook mexican. Terry: I missed you on Friday. I hope your doing ok with mom this weekend. Laura: Your costume is so HOT! and I can tell a HUGE difference in your B&A pics! Denise: Thanks for the comments.......... I don't feel like I'm melting today......... but NSV: I can now zip my leather coat! My legs are really hurting today because I polycoated pretty much all the woodwork in the kitchen yesterday.. (pine wainscoat & chair rail) Don't have much else to say.... Have a great evening! -

Today is a new day and another NSV! I had to find new jeans to wear today cause my standard pair are too big. AND I thought I might need to get a new bra. I was a 44DD a couple weeks before surgery. Was a 42DD a couple of weeks after surgery and went to get a 40DD, but they didn't have that size. So I got a 38DD and hoped it would fit soon. Well, soon is TODAY. I tried it on and it fits!! PLUS I was wearing size 10 Fruit of the Loom undies and now I'm in 8's. Now this is information I can only share with DH and all the Shrink'n Violets. The rest of the world would not be that interested in my underwear, trust me.
