    5 Confessions (Join In)

Hi I'm Ballermom and I have an addiction. Yep, after I ate a entire small tub of butter pecan Ice cream i then, wanted to go to an AA meeting I mean Over eaters meeting! I slipped. Shoot any meeting would help! -I confess that I desire to look like a hot sexy Biker chick or fit good into my Halle Berry Cat woman suit after my sleeve. Yep I'm getting a leather Cat suit for my NSV! - I confess that I signed up for the Gym and went only once. The day I signed up! - Some days I feel sexy and skinner than I really am. - that I need start training for skinny sexin soon!
  3. I got my last fill (a total of 2.75 ccs in a 4 cc band on February 27th). This morning actually just now, I had a crustless quiche (which is 1/4 of a pie plate about a cup total) it has eggs (duh) deli ham, swiss cheese and onions and yesterday I probably could've eaten more. Today right now at this moment if you put another slice in front of me I'd probably push it in your face and make you eat it (in a loving way though, because I love you whoever you are). So, yesterday when I was thinking "boy I don't feel restriction" to this morning of "holy crap I'm full" is a big differnce. So, the lesson is to you noobs and veterans out there, don't get discouraged, sometimes there is a delayed reaction for me it's approximately 8-9 days after a fill. I'm going to keep track of this next month as well. Actually to think about it last night I had some homemade general tso's tofu, broccoli and brown rice, ate the whole thing, and the rest of the night had a pain in my shoulder and left side maybe that was a signal to stop eating, and trust me I didn't eat for the rest of the night, just a glass of water to clear out my pouch (IDK why I do this but I've been doing it lately lol). I was a bad girl and didn't go to the gym yesterday, it was only for weights so I will do my weights tonight after c25k (grrr). Oh and some NSV this weekend: Didn't eat my whole meal the times we went out to dinner Fit into pants I didn't fit into in September Realized that my bra straps that go around me don't hitch up and chafe my side parts, they actually lay nice and flat now I don't buy junk food when I grocery shop and I grab a water out of the cooler at the supermarket and drink it while I shop (don't worry I pay for it!) I can wrap a regular towel around my body when I get out of the shower (even though there's some side boobage showing Also, whereas I thought I had some good luck yesterday turned out to be bad luck. I was looking at a vending machine near my office that has "healthy options" aka a 100 grand bar (really is that healthy???) and I see on the machine that there's a credit for $1.00 so I'm like "hey, pay it forward, right?" so I pick a granola bar (Nature Valley) OMG I looked at the nutritional info and almost died! I could've had a candy bar instead! I usually have a Kashi TLC granola bar thing right before I get out of work to hold me over between then and the gym (for some reason I'm starving late in the afternoon) I'll have this for a snack but never again! WTH do they put in that stuff? Anyway lovelies, have a wonderful day and if anyone is paying attention only 17 days until I leave for Key West!
  4. Way to go JT! Your first NSV!!! You described Bandster Hell to a 't'. Remember that many gain weight during this period and many more stay the same. If you can lose, even slowly, before the first couple of fills gives you restriction, then your doing better than most as it's all up to you at this point. Remember, we're not RNY patients...it takes several fills before the band really begins to help us at all. Hang in there...we'll all be twiddling our thumbs impatiently together!

Hi everybody. I'm doing great. My weight is finally starting to move. I've always been a slow learner, but I'm finally understanding this band - how it works and how to use it to my best advantage. I'm signing up for a boot camp (5 days a week from 5:30 to 6:30 a.m.):crying: starting June 1. I can hardly believe I'm doing that, but I'm calling it "my time." I think that's really going to push me even lower. I'm getting NSV's all the time now. I bought a couple outfits because my clothes were just hanging off me and the new outfits are already too big. I love this band and all of you!!!:smile2:

Dino....great NSV with the new pants size. Each one of those moments are so much fun! Allie...try not to drive yourself nuts with the plateaus. We all have them. Do yourself a favor and see if you can ignore the scale for awhile. Your husband is right. Try to calm down about it all. Before you know it your numbers will be going down again. Cathy..........HELLO....about time we hear from you again (just kidding...think we all just missed hearing from you). Sounds like you are setting the world on fire with your new found energy. You go girl! Still plan on stopping somewhere in TN to meet you on our way to FL. Looking forward to it. Now that we booked our trip (cabin in the Ocala Nat. Forest) our son informed me over the weekend that he is looking at a job in Delaware. Will just have to use our Alaska Airline miles to go and see him if he moves there. Hope he is still in Daytona when we get down there but, if not, we still would have gone somewhere warm for a couple of months. Waiting to hear what time my surgery is tomorrow. Just want it behind me. Not looking forward to the few weeks of down time. Have books and movies lines up. I am fairly independent and can't handle not doing my own work. I always say that I am not a perfectionist but very close to being one. Another cross to bear. I will sit and watch the mud getting dragged into the house and cringe. Hope everyone had a good weekend. We are having a beautiful fall. Weather is perfect. Life is good.

    For Just Us Guys

:clap2:I had a NSV already that almost had me doing cartwheels this morning. Being only 2 weeks post op but I am thrilled. I know it sounds lame but its big to me. I was acutally able to buy clothes at Wal-mart and they fit. It was the largest size they carry, 3X mens, but none the less it fits. It has bugged me for years to not be able to buy what I call yard clothes or play clothes like tee shirst and stuff from discount stores like Wallyworld and such. Just seems so unfair I have to go to a speciality store to buy a tee-shirt to mow the yard in and pay like $15; now I can get them for $7. So anyway, it was a huge victory for me this morning!

Apples - I was expecting your basic NSV story but WOW you surprised me, glad I was not drinking Water when I read that:biggrin: Cathy - Congrats! My daughter and 1 YO GD live with me and it is wonderful though I also could have handled wedding bells before booties:blush: Long - You are still losing, just keep it up you are doing great! Strike - We are thinking about you and have high hopes for your move and your next fill:thumbup: I have more restriction since my 2nd fill and have started losing again so I feel as though I am one of the lucky ones that finds that restriction early. I am sure I will want another fill in a month or so but I am happy for now.

Good Morning Junies.. Back to work and the daily grind. We had a great weekend camping! I really needed some down time. I am burnt but relaxed! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I wanted to share a NSV.. I got whistled at 2 times and I got a "hot damn" from a homeless man on friday. I was pretty excited! LOL.. it's the little things in life!

good morning junies.. Strike.. woo hoo on your nsv. You rock sister friend! Long.. good luck with your knee today! Congrats on getting out of your plateau! I go and weigh in on Friday and I am hoping all this hard work at the gym is going to pay off! The award dinner went great and we met alot of really nice people. We didnt' get home until 10 ugh and I am usually in bed by 9! My boss asked if I would if he needed me to train a girl to take my place since I won't go part time. I told him I would (i know Im a sucker) but told him to remember the last 4 girls we had do this job in the past 5 years and how messed up it was! I started in inside sales and there was 12 people working here. In 5 years we are down to 5 people and I do the job of inside sales, purchasing, a/r, a/p, office manager and a smidge of outside sales. He has no idea how this office is run or even how to do any of it! Sure I will train a girl for a week or two and see what happens! LOL.. I am sure I will be back working in no time. I have just put all this stress in God's hands. I just gave it up to him and realized he has only ever opened doors for me not closed them. Every time something bad has happened I have been soo devastated only to have something better happen because of it. So I am holding on for the ride! Have a great day Junies!

    Daily News!

Good morning Junies. Well I was able to get a fill yesterday WOOHOO.. I am now super restricted.. just where I like it lol.. but I am coming down with something. In the past couple of years I haven't been sick at all but in the past 6 months I have been sick quite a few times. Makes me think that I am just not getting enough vitamins or something. I have today and tomorrow of straight liquids then 2 days of mushies.. woo hoo LOL.. Addy, I guess I misunderstood what you were saying as well. Wow, I have no idea why you aren't losing faster. Just out of curiousity I keep seeing that there seems to be a difference in how fast you lose with different bands.. I had no idea what band I even had but i asked after I saw Cathy say she had the realize and was told you lose slower with that band. I have the allergen(sp?). The good news though is your skin wont be as saggy when you lose slower. But the better news is as Lucy said.. without this band you wouldn't be losing at all and in fact you might have gained, without the band I definetly would have gained especially over the holidays. I had a really great nsv today. I had a private message on here and this lady said that she hopes to look like me after she is banded. I have to say that is one of the best compliments ever! 7 months ago I didn't want to look like me and now to have someone want to in such a short time is friggin awesome! Have a great day Junies.. xoxo

    Non Scale Victories

yesterdays NSV - I was able to buy a few items of clothes at a physical Old Navy store because I didn't need plus size . Today, I realized I needed to go and exchange a couple sweaters because they're too large! So I was able to buy XL sweaters! (even though I know ON runs large, still excited).

My first little NSV 12 days out from sleeve - I left my clothes in the dryer until fully dry, not worrying about shrinkage.

I actually have a medical restriction at work that states I am not allowed to use any ladders that are not rated for greater than 350 pounds. I always check to make sure it will hold me, but it is strange that it is a restriction on my record. When that is removed, it will be both an NSV and a scale victory!

A couple of NSV this past week... 1. Fit into my old favorite bathing suits (size 12s & 14s) - Was able to retire my "new" big girl suits for my old fashionable ones 2. Bought a appropriate US size (#'d) Harley Davidson capris (reality, they were US size 12/14 - and must've been UK sizing) a couple years back and they never fit.... tried them on for giggles the other day and they buttoned 3. tried on a pair of old jean capri's today - haven't been able to wear in 3 years.... FIT....:D
