it will probably arrive quicker then you think, as i tried not to count how many days and suddenly 10 days came up so fast and now im down to 4! when i wake up it will be 3! im not a little scared as those numbers are now tiny, but i am so ready for this, as you say you are. i will certainly let you know how i am getting on. i cant wait to be one of the people who post on the surgery day stories thread!!!

Hi, I'm Debora. I had my Lap Band Surgery on June 10th, I can eat sometimes if it's soft food, but if I try to eat say a piece of fried chicken or ribs or catfish, I get sick. Is this normal and is it time for me to get my first fill. It will be 8 weeks tomorrow.

Have fun at the beach this weekend, I'm getting ready to start packing for my weeks vacation, three of those days will be at Pismo Beach (in Ca)...I can't wait, then were doing a couple of concerts (stone temple pilots and Fergie). Hi Sugar! I've not posted there in a few days. Unfortunately, I haven't done any jogging since Friday. The past two weeks have been a challenge on my schedule. I usually go out to exercise early in the morning before my husband leaves for work. The last two weeks he's had to go in early so I've not been able to exercise in the morning. We also started building a shed last week, so my evenings have been busy with that. I have been working out to my Turbo Jam DVD at home, but I've made no progress with the c25k. I had thought of giving it up, but I was reading everyone's progress and I don't want to quit! My husband is working nights the rest of this week so I will get a move on tomorrow, for sure. I'm going to go ahead and start week 3. I found week 2 easier than I'd anticipated, so I'm going to move ahead, or at least give it a shot!. Thanks for thinking of me. How are you doing on the c25k?

Hey Jen, glad to know you. I'm ready too. I've already started my pre-op diet. My surgeon requires either 3 wks of low-carb or 1 wk liquids. A no brainer for me. Yes, let's keep in touch.

Hi: Are you from MA??? Hi: My name is MayAnn and I was denied on 03/24/2008 by UMASS Dr. Gitkind the gatekeeper. My BMI is 37 and have highbloodpressure. I want to better myself and this doctor wants me to get a :sad_smile: I don't understand why he does not see me fit for the lapband? My BMI is 37 and have high blood pressure:confused2:. I know I want the lapband and have been prepairing myself since November 2007, went to the seminars, psychologist, nutritionist and was denied by Dr. Gitkind on Monday. Went to primary care docotor today and still my bmi is 37 and high blood pressure???on a calorie diet<-:huh2:like I havent tried this! calorie diet of 1600-1800 day. I guess I was not eating enough-been two weeks on this diet and gained 3 pounds..... AHHH WHY??? HELP....:scared2:

Whao tomorrow is it! That’s great! Well I signed up for the seminar that is this week this morning only to learn this afternoon that even though the dr's at the Oregon bar center are considered "in-network" with the new insurance they say they only cover centers that are considered part of the centers of excellence program I guess so I don’t think they are one. :-( The only one I can find in Oregon is OHSU. My thoughts are with you tomorrow. It will be great!

hi i was banded in 2007 i just had a fill again last week i get the full feeling like always but i am experiencing alot of reflux especially at night like i wake up coughing and slime coming out of my nose. It seems like it is only when i am relaxing

Hi..sounds like we are on a similar journey. When did you get banded? . I was banded 1/10/08, and have lost about 26 pounds. Slow losing...I know, but I am OK with it. I am down to 193 now. I have only been exercising 3 days a week. I know I need to increase that to 5 days a week in order to see faster weight loss. Good luck to you!

I am glad to hear your doing okay, I go March 31st to see the surgeon to have my band removed. I have had nothing but problems for one year now, April 6th will be one full year and only have lost 16 pounds, been in the hospital 3 times, its crazy

This morning I sang Christmas songs all the way to Milo's school. "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" was his favorite. Everytime I fininshed he said, "Sing it again!!". He is definitely my kid! <3

3 lbs lighter in 2 days. YAY. Makes me a happy girl.

15 more days till my surgery!! I start my pre-op diet tomorrow. 3 shakes and 250 calories of low glycemic veggies!! I made a "soup" today. I am so excited!!

feeling a little bummed....haven't lost anything in 3 weeks. Actually gained 4lbs. Gym and all....can't wait for my first fill on Wednesday.

HELP!!!! I got a fill a week ago hadn't had one in 4 months.....Dr. put 1cc in and then I felt like it was too tight...so she took a half out....question is...this fill feels completely diffrent then any other fill I have ever had...started with a total of 4 cc then had two separate .25cc fills then this one.......is this normal .......plus things seem to get hung up more then the ever did before ...so not sure if it was because it was getting loose in the 4 months and now...

Well I HAVE to do sleep test because my neck is big hmmmm....But they got me in for tomorrow night. Now I got a call 2 weeks of antibiotics cause of have H. Pylori bacteria in my stomach. I was told this will not interfere with my surgery

‎2 weeks and 1 day to go until surgery day! I can't wait! That also means 2 more weeks of this pre op diet (and that is a bummer) But I am gettiing through it.

Back to work... Gotta love a 3 day work week. Yay.
