And Sheribear68 and the rest, apprehensive I will be joining you guys soon, I had an iron INFUSION last Monday ( March 11th) I am scheduled for a Reclast INFUSION on the 22nd, and guess what the med sheet says? Both medicines 1st side effect? Weight gain. Oh gee doctors, and I just was 23 pounds dropped since the middle of February! Was actually celebrating , doctors PLEASE don't ruin my HAPPY NSV, I have been working hard to do this for myself, a early springtime -📦 present for me!

@CaribeRidge Everything sounds terrific, things will only get better. the NSV's you mentioned will continue and become more frequent. your DH sounds like a keeper! buying a similar bike to ride with you, what a sweetie. Getting thin so you feel like you "deserve" your DH - hmmmm - i think/hope you know better. he loves you now - size doesn't matter, but smaller definitely will help with your medical issues, diabetes gone - and HBP is lower now. true," personnel" things you and DH will enjoy as you "grow" smaller. True - age is just a number. Every year my number goes down and down and down!! LOL I was one month shy of being 58 years OLD when i had the sleeve. now,7+ years, i am now 65 years YOUNG!! keep up the good work kathy congrats

So as I’m losing, my resting you know what face must be changing. Every time my daughter walks in the room this past week she looks at me and says,”what?!” Me: “what, what?!” She says, “you were making a face”. HUH?! Sitting doing and thinking absolutely nothing! It’s all I can figure out. 😐🤪😂Ps. I’m counting it as a NSV!! Lol

The NSV’s are game changers for sure!! I’ve gone down an inch in my neck, my arms and breast in a week. I’m like a melting candle!! It’s starting from the top and I’m having faith it’s moving on down 😂

That is so true. It is hard to be logical in the midst of a struggle. I'm trying to stay away from the scale and look at the NSV's that I've accomplished.

I have something I'm happy about, instead of a NSV it is an TSV but there is no " thread " for that! READY? I now weigh less than my son the Tomkitten! Does this give us the same BMI? Nope, PCP says he measures nearly 2 inches taller, do I am beat still there but I believe that may come also. On my official ( bariatric scale at clinic in Columbus) I am 245.1 pounds, he is 245.4. I am weeping my teats💦 of joy , at my highest we were very very far apart in weight and I felt it was insurmountable. Even if he does try to lose weight, and since PCP has taken to put " Morbid Obesity" on his appointment summeries, he told me I may talk to Dr Needleman at your next visit, he doesn't have the GERD I did, so might be a mere metabolic weight loser or at worst as VSG. Told him that will be between you, Dr Needleman or Dr Noria, because that is who I am fated to see in Apriln this is a decision your. Mother can't make for YOu! But for a short time I can really be called his LITTLE MAMA and it will be the truth.👸 &👨

I am so happy to read about everyone's success! I had my surgery on March 7th and have lost 87 lbs. I have another 7-10 lbs to go but have been at a stall for a couple of months. My body seems to be happy where it is and I am a-ok with that. I feel awesome, look good, and have a ton of NSVs that keep me going. Best decision I ever made for myself!! Hope everyone else is feeling the same!

yesterdays NSV - I was able to buy a few items of clothes at a physical Old Navy store because I didn't need plus size . Today, I realized I needed to go and exchange a couple sweaters because they're too large! So I was able to buy XL sweaters! (even though I know ON runs large, still excited).

@Laura7 reading, enjoying ,catching up with your story. one of my first NSV's was wrapping a bath towel around me. i wasn't expecting the towel to fit alllllllll the way around me, but it did!! One of many NSV's for you to look forward to. kathy keep up the great job congrats -

Week one update! Hard to believe that it's been a week since surgery. Wow... feels like a whole new world! NSVs for the week is I can now wear my wedding ring without pain. I'm also now the lightest I've been in 3.5years, and I'm going to my first writers meetup with a new group. I've got a little of my spark back 🙂 Down six pounds, 2.7kgs this week! And, I know it's ridiculous, but can I admit I was a little disappointed? 😲 I guess a big part of this process is the mental game... and learning to be patient. *sigh* *twiddles fingers* Guess I can't expect to be at GW after a week! 😂😅😅 -
So I am only 2.5 weeks post op and incredibly frustrated because the scale is moving soooo slow and not at all since Monday, however I put a sweater on today that I bought in October and it was too tight to wear. Today it is loose so 🤷♀️... guess I just have to trust this process and try not to obsess and stay off the damn scale for a while. Ugh !

First NSV - Looked at my poor bruised (blood thinner injections), scarred, and stretchmarked stomach and apron and felt sorry for them instead of angry with then for the first time. Reclaimed them as part of me rather than the disgusting traitors and have begun moisturising and looking after them along with my other overlapping and swinging bulgy bits. Accepted they'll still be there albeit deflated, so may's well be at peace with them :-) HW: 263 SW: 256 (21st Jan) CW: 238 Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

DAY 12 Starting to get the hang of this! Surprisingly doing pretty well on the "No junk food challenge." Even though temptation is everywhere! Did some different exercises today. Trying to branch out a little. I have a picture of myself with my sisters, that I thought I looked pretty good in. It's amazing how heavy I looked, but I didn't think I was that heavy at that time. If that makes any sense. NSV today. I had flats on that I haven't worn in awhile. Started walking and they flew off my feet!!😂 Who knew, you could lose weight in your feet! LOL

Yes, we call these NSV's - Non-Scale Victories. Mine include necklaces fitting around my neck that didn't fit before, my watch isn't cutting off my circulation, and I can see my toes! -
So true! That's a good NSV that I hadn't thought of, but you're right. I'm taking my first vacation post-op next week and already been packing and you're right!

I’m down 75#. Biggest NSV is that packing for a trip is so much easier. My jeans take up a fraction of the space! For someone who packs carry-on only, this is a HUGE (or maybe small) deal. :). I was even able to pack tennis shoes to work out - I’d never have had room for that before!! Now I just have to resist the urge to fill my bag.

I have a strange quasi- NSV. Now you all know I never lose inches , at least I had myself convinced that way. Doubting Thomas must have had a cousin , I'm Doubting Dora. Anyway I decided to put in my earrings, I'm triple- pierced,one for each child. I had a pair with very short posts, seldom wore them because they were not comfortable, well they are kind of pretty so I decided to put them in, my gosh when I started losing off my fat ,my earlobes must have lost weight also because the shorties fit fine.

Huge NSV’s yesterday. Went to Disneyland two week two days post op. I fit and could easily get off and on rides I haven’t even attempted for years! Weird though...the two roller coasters I went on usually tickle my tummy. Not this time. I guess there is less to tickle?!?!

Today, I realized that I could reach to snap and unsnap my bra. I've been pulling them over my head already done up! That was a surprise. So is the ease with which I can tie my shoelaces now. I think the NSV's are the best!

This is awesome, congratulations!! For me, it was realizing I am down 2-3 sizes from when I started this journey. It was so surreal having to return an article of clothing to get a smaller size. Yay for NSVs!!

Sometimes the Non-scale victories are more exciting than the numbers on the scale going down. Hooray for NSVs!

I have two NSV's this week I am super excited about! 1. My boss gave me a few of her pairs of jeans about a month ago.. and they barely hit the sides of my hips. I was able to put them on comfortably on Sunday!!! YAY!! I was so excited. 2. This morning, i went to tie my sneakers and i didn't realize till i was almost done that my leg was not up on the bed sideways so i could tie the shoe but crossed over my leg sitting up!!.. I thought i was dreaming when i realized it. What are your NSV's this week?
