Tami: I knew you were talking about a fill soon. I was too. I got mine Tuesday. I am not at all overfilled. I forgot to ask him exactly how much he added, but I do not have the wild cravings that I was having. Since the fill I've been doing much better. It hasn't kept me from eating anything though, that I've tried. So don't be afraid. Be sure to tell them of your fears. I did and I think that's why I am not overfilled. Good luck! I hope it helps take care of those crazy cravings! You're doing so well! Congratulations on your fantastic NSVs!

Karey, you're right. Keep plugging away...it will pay off eventually! I am a firm believer in weight training with a cardio program. It's worked for me before (until I quit doing it ) I am down 3 pounds from last week to 195. I haven't seen this weight in years. Actually squeeeeeeezed into a pair of 16W in the store today. I bought them! Trying them on encourages me when the scales aren't showing any loss......ooooh. Another NSV!!!! Hurray for EVERYONE!!! This group and challenge keeps me in check. Thanks y'all!

Sandy: I have had that happen quite a few times, I cannot eat anything solid in the morning because I fear *that* pain. a PB is when food actually comes back up usually coupled with mucous nastiness. If you only have chest pain but nothing comes back up it is just 'stuck' and the pain will subside once the stuck food moves it's way through the stoma. It is a horrible experience! If this is your first experience with this it is probably just a little swollen in the morning coupled with not chewing well enough. Or it could be your band dislikes whatever you were eating, I get that sometimes too, even when I know I need a fill. Does anyone have any NSV's this week? My house is chaotic right now after the blizzard, a little bit of cabin fever is driving everyone crazy. Today I decided to get away and go to the mall to window shop just to get away from the madness. My usual stops are Torrid and Lane Bryant. I went into Lane Bryant and tried a couple things on - all miles to big. Right next door is Express - a store I have often admired but never shop there because I'm far to big. For whatever reason I actually entered the store, looked around and gathered some items to try on. Biggest size they have in Pants is a 12 and shirt is a tiny XL. In the dressing room I about hit the floor, I got into a size 12 dress pants! They were a tiny bit snug in the waist but hips and butt all fit great and so $70 later I own a pair of over priced pants; So much for window shopping. I don't even know if I'll wear them but they say 12 so I absolutly had to have them.

MimIn: Congratulations! We are the same weight and I'm buying some 14's, but depending on the brand some can be tight. I'm trying to think of a NSV.... Let's see... People are telling me that I look a lot younger. I guess that is a NSV!

    Rewards?

All the rewards I was supposed to get myself, diamond earrings and a fur I haven't got. Honestly there are so many little NSV every day I dont feel the need for erxternal gifts. Not having to worry if a chair is wide enough or can hold my weight is a gift that keeps giving every day.

I had a wild weekend in Kalamazoo MI visiting with old friends and over endulged in food and spirits (I think I am still hung over!) but managed to squeek out 2lbs, I am sure it will all catch up with me next week. I am going to post this pic as an NSV, I would NEVER have done this pre-band no matter how much I had to drink...

Hi all! I just wanted to share a NSV....the 1.3 miles I thought I ran the other day? Well I drove in my car and measured it out (I'm compulsive that way) and it was actually 1.5! Whoo hoo! I have set a goal to run in a 5k race this summer in may with my sister (the half-marathoner  ) She is a delightful and supportive person. Of course I will not plan to race anyone but myself. How blessed I am to consider even doing such a thing! Amazing.

Has anyone had any NSV's the last week? I had a few.... I flew to Atlanta last week and found I actually fit in a plane seat with room to spare and I can pull the seatbelt tight across my lap without extending it as far as it will go and see it rather than it hide under my belly! My lane bryant size 14 dress pants and jeans are hanging off my arse and while in atlanta I decided to go shopping (lane bryant 14 is a 'normal' size 16). I bought size 14 dress pants and a pair of levi's in the misses section and a couple large shirts from the juniors of macy's I hven't done that since I was probably 12. Last night my dog took off like a rocket and I ran full sprint after him clear across the community by the time I caught him I was several blocks from home and was hardly winded. Curious how far I had gone I later took the car out to measure and it was 1.1 miles (my dog sucks!). I have never been able to run more than 1/4 mile without feeling the onset of death. It's the little things that make it all worth it!

    A New Day

Michelle...are you finished with school for the summer? It would be nice to have a time out from it all... Dee...how is CJ doing now? I guess he enjoys the freedom of a summer schedule just as do his siblings! BTW, the Harry Potter part of Universal Orlando has a ride that you need to be small enough to fasten the safety bar in order to ride. The first time we went, I did not even try to see if I would fit. The next time, no worries...another NSV I just realized! DIANE...starting to get worried about you. Please post or text that you and yours are well. Will be back tomorrow. Big hugs all around...

Who Has Lost Over 100 Pounds?!?!

Me! :: Does the Price is Right contestant bounce-squeal:: The thing is that I seriously just realized I was able to respond to this post. I was so focused on the fact that I have about 40lbs to got to meet my tentative goal, that it escaped me that I've lost abouot 105lb. That shows that even after two years of being banded, I'm focused on how overweight I still am instead of how much weight I've managed to lose. But I'm slooowly, getting out of my forever-fattie mindset. Although, I've lost a lot of weight this is all surreal to me. I started at a size 26/28. I am now in a size 18. Each time I pull on a pair of jeans, I still get this moment of brief panic that they will reach my hips and won't go any higher. But they do..every time. And I want to bounce up and down...okay I DO bounce up and down...everytime they fit... ...Not to mention, I hear the "Eye of the Tiger" in my head. Sometimes. okay..most times. I remember my little weight loss ticker being at -15lbs...while it seemed like everyone in the known universe had lost over 80 lbs. I thought I'd never be able to reply to this post. But here I am, 105 lbs down. Unbelievable. If I, Miss World's Slowest Loser, can accomplish this much, anyone can. Thank you guys for every single bit of inspiration that you have provided on this site. Congrats to everyone on their scale and NSVs. For all of you thinking you will never post here...you will.

    Road to "TWOterville"

Wow where to start, Laura welcome to our thread , and Julie what an awesome nsv! All those of you who have lost weight this last week yay!!! Well I had a long night last night, one of my pills got stuck and I was miserable for 2 hours! I was so tired I wanted to cry, but I couldn't pb and it wouldn't go through . Meanwhile my scale is hateful right now so I am frustrated. It jumped up 3lbs overnight and is staying there! I don't know what the deal is, maybe I am eating too much sodium or maybe it's constipation, or maybe af is gearing up, not really sure :phanvan

    Road to "TWOterville"

You know, I had problems logging in yesterday and now I have to play catch up! LOL!! Molly....great NSV!!! Losingjusme! You'll make it to 100 this week! I know you will. Ridin...have a great time! I had a fill last Friday and it feels like NOTHING! He filled me and then said "oops, a little too much" then took some out. I still don't feel restriction!!! I was hoping for more of a kick but with that whole "fat around the stomach" bit, I'm thinking maybe this is the best it's gonna get from now on. I'm going to have to start relying on some willpower.

Waterlily!!! I forgot to tell you how proud I am of your great NSV!! You go girl!! Keep up the good work and the 18's will be slidin' off that tiny behind!! Katie
  16. Today my husband and I were talking. I was telling him about something that happened at work and all of a sudden he stops me in mid sentence and says "Damn........you've lost a lot of weight." I was just so flabbergasted that I couldn't even finish my sentence and lost my train of thought. The reason it meant so much to me is that since I have had surgery my husband has never said ANYTHING to me. Although he supported me he was kind of against me having the band done.........said it was unhealthy and even when other people were saying they could see me loosing weight nothing from him. I am now 8 1/2 mos out and have lost about 65 lbs and he notices. That comment probably meant the most to me than from anyone. I sometimes felt that they felt they were obligated to say those things but he never did..........until now!! I know this is probably a wierd post but it's a little nsv that means alot to me and I just wanted to share with you all!!

    Best NSV yet

My daughter is an actress. We live in Boston, so there arent many opportunities for movie roles, so she does alot of community theatre and student films. Yesterday she was called to be an extra in the movie "The Departed" which is starring Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Martin Sheen. They said I could bring my older daughter too cause they needed about 70 people for a church fair scene. They picked me to do two scenes, one was with my kids (and about 100 other people) and the other is walking along a pier. They matched me up with a guy to walk down the pier with. Now pre surgery I would have never done the big scene and I am sure if I hadnt lost 50+ lbs they wouldnt have asked me to be in the 2nd scene. They were looking for average people. I guess I look average now. I am still morbidly obese, but I was shocked that they picked me!!!! Plus I bought a pair of size 22 jeans to wear to the set and I had to bring them back cause they were too big!! I grabbed a size 20 and they are even a bit roomy, size 18 here I come for the 1st time in 20 years....WOO HOO!! Patty

    ABC ~ October Chat

I'll be going for another fill very soon, hopefully some time next week. I need to call & schedule, I keep forgetting to do that. I can tell I have more restriction than after my first fill, but I can also tell it still isn't enough. On a happy, happy, joy, joy, note-I have an NSV. I was an hour early to work today.(darn time change, screws me up every time) Since I had some time to kill, I went into the nearby Avenue store. I figured I'd try on a pair of 20s just for fun. I wanted to see how close I was to being able to zip them. I could zip them, I could even zip (and button) the SIZE 18s that I tried on next! Of course I still had a "muffin top" but hey the important thing is that I actually had a pair of 18s on my body and I could still breathe, sit down and walk normally. WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!:clap2:

    Twenties NSVs

My mind is free of Lane Bryant! My newest NSV, among many (they've become innumerable), is that my sense of style has changed. Or should I say evolved? IDK. I have always been a great dresser...no modesty where that's concerned:cool2:...BUT I find myself gravitating towards different styles now. Variety! Variety! Variety! Its like Im learning to dress all over again! Fabulous! Kid+Candy Store=ME!

    Twenties NSVs

i started working at a new office about 6 weeks ago, so everyone there has never known me as the fat girl. and because i work for a magazine publisher, our floor of maybe 100 people is about 75% women (a good number of whom are very pretty, skinny and fashionable), so the guys that work there flirt, all day long. its not really a big deal, its mostly a younger group (in their mid-twenties) so its a fun atmosphere, but its weird to be included in that group of "hot girls" that these guys hit on. sooo i have a related NSV to this that i feel really horrible telling anyone else, i even feel a little weird telling you guys! but i know most of you (girls at least) completely agree with me that you've secretly wanted this one.... well: of all of the guys at our work, theres really only one that many of the girls actually flirt back with. i can see why, by normal standards, hes very attractive -- tall, athletic, confident --though this isnt really my type so i dont flirt with him. hes still a fun guy though, so i think of him as a nice work friend. but last night a big group of us went to a bar after work and in front of all these girls who were trying to get his attention, this one guy kept on talking to me -- and at the end of the night asked for my number in front of some of the other girls! (and-- stupid me, i actually gave it to him because i didnt believe that he was actually trying to pick up me and not these other gorgeous women that were so obviously flirting with him.... but i figured it out later that night when he sent me a booty text! HA!) soooooo yeah, sorry for this long story, but this is a big nsv for me-- I TURNED DOWN A "HOT GUY"! this is the biggest confidence booster! i feel so horrible saying this one out loud after all of those years of being rejected, but i dont feel so bad, because i assume this guy hasnt gotten turned down very often. and i am only saying it to you guys because otherwise its really embarrassing and i dont think other people would understand why its a big deal... that this guy chose to pick ME up and not the other gorgeous girls.... wow!

    Twenties NSVs

Well, I've been really down on myself because I haven't lost much weight lately. Which in result makes me feel fat. But I still managed to have a NSV. When I was in Alaska, I went on several really intense hikes and was able to keep up with all the athletic people in our group, and wasn't the guy holding everyone up. Woohoo! Also, I went for a jog yesterday and was able to do 3 miles more or less non-stop. I had to walk to cross streets and stuff like that, but was able to run it. Now all I need is that number to start going down again.

    Twenties NSVs

Drew, just I saw you B/A pics and you look great! Way to go! I love when people tell me I'm disappearing. To celebrate my 2 year Bandiversary I have a couple of NSVs: Last week I attended a local LB support group meeting and was completely ignored, including by the moderator who never asked me to introduce myself. I found out at the end that It wasn't until I started talking that people realized that I was banded and not someone else's support person. The lady to whom I sold my last "fat" piece of clothing, a size 3x winter coat, asked "How did you wear this coat? You are tiny." I have NEVER been called tiny, ever. That made my day, week, and month. This weekend I saw someone who hadn't seen me in a while. Her reaction was crazy, she just stared at me with her mouth gaping open for a full minute.

@Laurr925: I'm sorry you gained +10lbs when you had that 1cc removed, but that was after a -17lbs loss from dehydration and such. It was probably just your body returning to its current homeostasis. Sounds like the ex(?)fling is able to see just how svelte you're getting, even if you yourself are not enjoying the numbers as much as you'd like. I'm excited for you! I can't wait to hit 220, but right now, my latest baby-goal is 240. My Own NSVs: 1. I pulled on my Lane Bryant Red-Triangle Size-5 jeans (idk what that translates to) and they were so friggin loose. I wore 'em anyway cos I'm bloated this week (TOM) and barely made it down the first aisle at the grocery store before I had to pull 'em back up so I didn't look like a white-girl-wannabe-thug, lol! 2. When I pulled up at the grocery store mentioned in #2, I looked over at the car next to me. Two guys were sitting in there, their window down, and they turned over and looked at me. And then continued to watch as I walked into the store. (Too bad I wasn't wearing my "daaaamn that's a nice ass" jeans, but whatevs!) I stood in the frozen foods section, texting a friend about a song playing on the radio, when those same two guys walked down my aisle, strolled past, and turned their heads as they walked by me. It was bizarre. They didn't even buy anything! O.o Idk, I refuse to believe they were checking me out, bc I looked like a bum, but maybe they were. Either way, it felt good to be noticed.
