this week's NSV? making my bed so easily, I just had to pull the blanket up a little bit.....why? because I went to sleep and didn't move an inch. I used to toss and turn all night because of back pain, now I don't!! -

Thanks all! I love discovering NSV's!! Can't wait till I can cross my legs! I've never been able to do it (been a fatty forever lol) so that'll be fun! -
Wow, can't believe the "dirt" comment. I mean, really? My dermatologist told me that if it bothered me so much, that I should lose weight and poof, it'll go away. Can't wait for that NSV when my inner thighs match my legs! Lol

So pre op I could never sit with my lap top on my lap- my thighs slanted downwards too much and my belly was in the way. Just didn't work. So tonight I grab the lap top and not thinking set it on my lap open it up, get on the internet...and then it dawns on me. I'm sitting here with my laptop....on my lap. What? LOL. It's silly little things like this that people take for granted that are big thing for us. I'm down 68lbs from my heighest, 48 of that post op. Still have a ways to go but I'm getting there. Just thought I would share! -
That is alot of progress, I can't wait til I have my 1st NSV, waiting now for approval. You are added to my list of inspirational people on here :} keep sharing your victories.

It was really hard for you to take credit for all the hard work you've down. I'm happy that you recognize it and have decided to make a change up and just say thank you. If they ask further, just tell them that you've reduced your portions and am exercising.....Because that's he truth. At least that's what I've decided to do for myself, especially in the beginning. In fact we were in the mountains and a lady was telling my DH and myself a great place to eat and that they give you a lot of food. I caught myself telling her that I have decided to eat smaller portions and smiled. Boy was I surprised. Now that's an awesome NSV for me......

I finally took my rings in to be resized. After 65 pounds, they were a tad loose. I was surprised when they took them down a full size. I just got them back and of course they are so pretty when they are all polished up, but I was amazed at the size. They are little! Who knew I had small fingers. Put a smile on my face today.

I lost the cushion in my butt... now I have a bony butt. Hurts to sit on the floor & play Barbie's with my grand daughter, so I sit on a pillow! But at least I can get on the floor & back up now! Yay for NSV's!!!! -
Yeah, I hit my 40 lb weight loss and was elated, finally under 300. I don't see it in my clothes either, and I am also a bit let down (40 sounded like SO many pounds!) but I trudge on and keep looking forward to a "nsv" or a wls aHa moment! I trust Missy that the day will come.

My first reported NSV.... I put on new tights this morning... and I got them all the way up! I don't have droopy tights crotch because I couldn't get the legs all the way up over my thighs. Epic! (Shocking revelation: Having tights that fit practically eliminates chub rub!)

Not those ones --yet-- I'm thinking I got collar bone implants at some point. I didn't know I had them! Sleeves 10-23 down 49lbs since preop!

I have a wonderful NSV. I work for my Surgeon. Well, they are here every other week and today's the first day I have seen any of the team ( Doc, Nutritionist and Psych) since before Christmas. I love our Nut, she is wonderful. She told me I am so tiny and that I don't look like I need to lose anymore weight. I have been told by a couple of people at work, but you never know if they are just being nice. I still can't see a huge difference myself. Anyone else have this problem? I have found that times I don't lose weight I lose inches. It is really good to keep up with your measurements so you can see the NSV.

I am 1 month out, my stall has just broken but I experienced that as well. I never really was a leg crosser but one night while siting watching tv, I realized I had my leg up in my chair with me, like where your foot is by your butt and knee by your face. Use to sit like that a lot but haven't in years. It was neat to do it and not even realize! Another NSV just experienced is I got out of the shower and wrapped the towel around me, the edges actually overlapped a little, woo hoo! Forget the scale, the NSV's rock!
-
That was one of my first NSV's that I noticed! Isn't that a GREAT feeling? Congrats!

so i've been on a stall for the last 6 days and i've been ridiculously disappointed and down! today we were at my brother-in-laws house watching the football game and all of a sudden i realized i was sitting with my legs crossed. not just crossed but ALL THE WAY CROSSED!!!! i can't even remember the last time i've been able to cross my legs. stupid victory i know but my victory all the same!!!! helps a little with the stall!!!

Woohoo Deedee, you sound so much better today!!!! And super nice NSV!!

I don't have my 7 week weight until Tuesday, but I am definitely losing inches. Today I went to go babysit. All my yoga pants & sweat pants were dirty. I started out a size 32. My size 30 jeans were just too big. Then I remembered that I had bought 2 pairs of size 28's online accidentally (I meant to get 30's) quite awhile back. Pre-Surgery I couldn't even pull them all the way up. So, I crossed my fingers & not only could I pull them up but could zip them up without sucking anything in! I was so excited. I still am. This totally made my week & it's only Sunday.

1. Last night my wife walked in to the kitchen as I was fixing dinner, and made this comment "Wow, you have lost weight, your belly is quite a bit smaller". 2. Getting ready for Church this morning, I decided to try on a shirt that I hadn't been able to wear in a while, just to see if it would fit. it did I so I asked my wife for a second opinion (fishing for another compliment ), and got sent back to the closet to find smaller pants to go with the shirt.
