  1. I mix 1 tablespoon Genepro protein powder (30gm protein) in 1/2 cup lactaid milk when I get up. That has just over 30gm protein before I leave the house. I try at meals to eat protein. If I am short at the end of the day, I repeat with another 1/2 c lactaid with another scoop of Genepro. Bottom line, you need your protein.
  2. If using Genepro, I would only count the 15g of protein that are physically in a serving, not the 30g they claim. But I personally steer clear of it entirely, because it seems like a bunch of junk science to me.
  3. I have a question if anyone can advise me I'd appreciate it I had the sleeve two weeks ago today was discharged two days later had follow up on the monday six days after surgery i lost 15 lbs in a week surgeon says way too much come off clear liquids and on full liquids and puréed which I did I lost another 15 lbs this week I feel awful since the Sunday after surgery I woke up feeling extremely weak and shaky can't seem to drink enough fluids water tastes like metal anything with artificial sweeteners tastes godawful have no trouble eating of course not eating much but haven't felt nauseated or thrown up I'm using Genepro protein powder I put in all food and hot drinks doesn't seem to dissolve in cold drinks has anyone else felt this way? How long does it last does it get better? I can't even imagine trying to go back to work I can't drink every minute and do my job not that I could work in this condition tried calling drs office yesterday was put on hold for 10 mins no one came back on the line I hung up even if they asked me to come in at this point I don't feel strong enough to walk from where parking is to the building where the office is

    Need typical day menu

First thing ==I use GENEPRO in my Espresso every morning. It has 30grams of protein. But some on this site will say it isn't what they claim. I am terrible at eating breakfast or lunch. Dinner I have ham, cheese sandwich will 1 piece of whole grain bread. Or Chili Beans with cheese and onions. I also will have a Burrito or a XLNT Tamale, Or I have a chicken breast baked. By the time I get my protein first I don't have much room for veggies or fruit. I do have a Tuna Salad too. I was told by my Nutritionist and my Dr both said this to me: In time there are no forbidden foods, just eat in moderation. Not all programs say this. I am the type of person that if I didn't have a food I will become obsessed with it. I don't always make all great decisions but I try. Also, I totally feel like my exercise is my saving grace. I also have nuts or peanut butter crackers for a snack in the afternoon. I am not a very good example I'm sorry. I still have no appetite at all. Food does not control me now!! Thank goodness I still can't eat much beef or eggs. I pretty much eat whatever I want just smaller amounts. If you would like to do emails instead of on this site please let me know and I will give you my email address. BTW I drink 2 or 3 cups of black coffee, and I drink Lipton Green Tea (bottled) Snapple Diet Peach Tea also. Also, I failed to mention, sometimes I just have a piece of cheese with 5 crackers for dinner. If I'm not hunger I just do a little Protien.

these came out really good. 1 1/2 cup of grated cauliflower, 1 egg, and 1 cup of shredded cheese.. mix in a food processor. I added 2 scoops of genepro to add extra protein. use 1/4 and spread into circles on greased cookie sheet. bake for 12 min and let cool. Came out really good!

    March 2015 Surgery!

Good morning everyone, I had RNY on 3/11. I'm shocked by the pain and discomfort I'm still experiencing 10 days later. I was having a hard time getting protein and water in as well. I saw in a previous post that genepro has 30g in each serving. Its spendy, I ordered it from Amazon. Its non flavored, no smell. I have been adding it to broth, its actually pretty good. As for water I'm managing about 48 oz a day. I'm so close to stage 3, I never thought I'd be excited to have scrambled eggs

    Coffee

I have a large cup of decaf every day with a scoop of Genepro protein, a couple of teaspoons of powdered creamer, and an ounce of Jordan's Skinny Syrups in Caramel. LOVE it!
  10. I add Genepro to my coffee every morning. I love that it virtually vanishes into the cup - no taste or odor.

    GENEPRO

Well, the reason and the only reason that I loved GENEPRO is because I can use it in whatever. I am NO WAY pushing anything on anyone. I am NOT getting anything from this company. I don't have a pictue up because I don't know how to do it. And I also had been on here for quite awhile but I quit using the other account due to being hacked and went to my true name. My old account was under shedo82773. I am not new here at all. If onmly had to use GENEPRO as my protein intake well yes there would be problem. I also eat to get protein also. It would seem to me that if I was having problems it would show up in my bllodwork that is still beiing sent to my BARIATRIC SUREGON. I know if there was a problem they would be the first ones to let me know. I am sorry that this post made so many upset. Like was said we all have to do whatever it takes to maintain our health. So if YEARS down the road I get myself in trouble I will come back here and tell you that you were roight. Again Have a great day

    GENEPRO

Hey guys, I don't care for the conversation here. The studies were not just them. I am not trying to sell anyone any thing. For myself I will keep using GENEPRO. I am not selling this at all. I have my email with the information. I don't know who made you judge and jury here. Have a great day

    Breakfast

I use Genepro protein powder. 1 scoop is 30 Gm of protein. It can be mixed in hot or cold so every morning I have a decaf coffee and stir in half a scoop of the Genepro, 15 Gm of protein with just my coffee! Sometimes I eat a protein bar, Life Choice from walmart, 170 cal, 18 Gm protein. This works great when I'm on the run. 33 Gm of protein total with my coffee! Other times I have a Dannon Greek yogurt and mix in half a scoop of the Genepro for 27 Gm of protein for a total (with coffee) 42 Gm of protein!! Genepro has no flavor and mixes in great with hot or cold.
  14. where can you order it I got my sample directly through the GENEPRO website, but that was back when I first had my surgery over a year ago. I believe it was also available on Amazon at that time.
  15. very interested in the low "dosage" of just 1 tablespoon of the genepro protein powder but it really does sound too good to be true. i have not found any stats or research on it other than listed from the company so i was wondering if anyone has any actual third party info on it? anyone have good protein levels while on it? i know it will not be my only source of protein but i don't want to waste time and money if it is bogus. it just seems like mixing a tablespoon in something would be much easier than your standard size 1/4 cup serving/dosage. thanks in advance!!!
  16. I mix my Genepro with water and crystal light twice a day, it makes it cloudy but doesn't alter the texture or flavor...my favorite by far. I will probably be devastated if my protein level is not high enough and I have to switch.

  18. @@hharrison43 I actually start pre-op on 26th. And go see the doctor on the 29th.So glad to have new friends on this journey. It seem like this time moving quickly. I see my primary on the 23rd. So I may even start on the 24th. I'm waiting on my GENEPRO Protein to be delivered. I hope it's as good as the advertised. So lets make sure we keep in contact. I'll put you on my friend list as soon as I remember how to do it.

    5 days post op

@@Sara Crowley "I am way excited about the GENEPRO I can put 2 tbsp. (if it tastes alright lol ) in a broth and have most my Protein and I wont have to worry about it. At work I forget to eat so it would be great to get most of the protein all at once :)" Is that one scoop (30g protein)? One thing my otherwise pretty laid-back doc did really insist upon is that I remember to not bother going over 30g protein per meal...he said it's pretty well proven that most of us can absorb only 30g or a little less at a time. I'd just hate for you to waste that expensive powder and it not be put to good use by your body.

    Help me!

I use Musclegen Research GENEPRO Molecular Tri Protein Peptide. I put one scoop in 3/4 cup of 2% Braum's milk, along with half a packet of Carnation Breakfast Essentials No Sugar. The Genepro dissolves completely with very little taste and the Carnation Breakfast Essential favors the milk nicely. You get 30 grams of protein with each tablespoon scoop. You can also mix the Genepro with anything...yogurt, oatmeal, milk poured over Cereal, etc. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Smoothies

Genepro protein powder is the best! It is odorless and tasteless. I order mine from Amazon and I make smoothies with it and I mix it in my yogurt and hot chocolate. Doesn't change the taste or texture at all.

    Late night

Hey! Where do you buy your Genepro from -- Amazon? Currently on Protein shakes but if I can mix it into my food later that'd be cool too. Can't wait till next week when I can have pudding. Do you think it's the best flavorless Protein powder?
  25. Maybe try adding Genepro unflavored protein to broth or other foods.
