Why do women have anal sex?

Ok I am going to be the brave one...lol I have done this with my husband a few times and yes if you have some stimulation on the clitoris while he is in there you do get a very pleasurable orgasm, if you let him go in the front while you are on your back it is less painful and when you use lubes and stuff you have nothing to worry about as far as poop nothing oes on your hands or anything else ..oh lord way to much TMI .but I feel I should share my knowledge...lol This not something you should do all the time like I said we have been together 61/2 years and have done it a couple times so its not an everyday thing ..lol just when you hit the experimenting mode.... ok that was enough braveness for me.... -

*TMI* WARNING *TMI* I didn't know about the serve constipation. I've been struggling so bad trying to pass this lumpy stool. NOTHING seems to be working, had to leave work early. I'm in sooooo much pain. I'm in the 2nd week of my 2 weeks pre-op liquid diet. Do anyone have any suggestions? I might not survive this. -
September surgery buddies!!
SpartanMaker replied to Slwhurst's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry for the novel folks, but maybe before getting to tips and tricks, let's talk a bit about what causes plateaus: First, the most common reason for any stall, including the dreaded 3-week stall is simply that you are retaining more water. There are a few reasons this happens, but around the 3-week mark it comes down to the fact that your body is adjusting to a low carb intake after converting from glycogen to ketones for energy. More water is needed to burn glycogen, so you were retaining more water pre-surgery than you are now that you're using primarily ketones for energy. At about the 3-week mark, your body eventually recognizes that the water loss is long term, so other mechanisms have started kicking in to start holding on to more water. This water loss due to the change between glycogen and ketones is the primary reason for "keto flu", and something that increases your risk of dehydration early after surgery. The other "reasons" for plateaus really don't apply as much at the 3 week mark, but will become more important later in the process. Let's cover those too though so you're prepared: As you lose more weight, your overall metabolic rate will slow down. People sometimes think fat is not metabolically active, but that's not true. Less fat means your metabolism slows down, even if you retain the same amount of muscle. As you lose weight, it takes less effort to move, so the amount of calories you burn from activity also drops quite a bit. As you progress, you'll be able to eat more and especially if you're not tracking intake closely by weighing and measuring your food, you can easily be eating a lot more than you think. This one may be TMI for some, but you may simply be retaining more stool. This is going to be hard for some people to hear, but I can tell you one thing it's not, and that's hormones. Yes, various hormonal processes negatively impact weight loss in a myriad of ways, but they don't overcome basic physics: if you eat less than you are burning, you'll lose weight. What these hormones can do if they're out of whack, is not good things like slowing your metabolism, increasing your hunger, screwing with water weight, or even fooling you into thinking you're eating less than you are. So, with all that sciency stuff out of the way, what do we actually do if we're in a stall? Well, I think it depends on when it happens and how long it lasts: If it's early (a.k.a. the 3-week stall), just keep doing what you're doing and you should be fine. I know people don't like that advice, but as I said, it's just water, so don't worry about it. Later on, especially if the stall is lasting longer than 2-3 weeks. that's when I think it's important that you look closely at what you are actually burning, as well as really tracking what you are eating. If you don't know your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), you should. The closer you are to goal, the harder it is to get the balance right between intake and output to make sure you're not eating too much, so fixing this starts with knowing your BMR and accurate food logging. There's a lot of anecdotal advice thrown around about "ways to break a stall", but there seems to be little scientific evidence for any of it. Most of it certainly won't hurt to try, e.g. breaking up your routine in terms of diet or exercise, but just understand that this change may or may not have had any impact. If it makes you feel better to be proactive, go for it. Longer term, there is one piece of solid advice that's backed up by lots of research: Even if you don't really like working out, do it anyway. Those WLS patients that make a regular habit of exercising for 45 minutes to an hour most days a week are significantly more likely to reach their goal and maintain the weight loss. (One caveat here: significantly changing your exercise routine can make you retain water and possibly even add muscle, so don't freak out if you see a stall or even a gain.) I'll take that exercise advice one step further and say you really should be doing some form of strength training. This is also backed up by lots of studies, but the great thing about strength training is that it makes your burn more calories even at rest (in other words, it increases your metabolic rate). There are lots of other benefits, but the metabolic benefit is the most germaine to the stall question. Those that do strength training are less likely to stall during weight loss. -

So quick update managed a cuppa soup last night seems to respond better to hot/warm rather than cold/icy. Again managed to have de-fizzed lucozade last night and felt less shaky after 4 days of no food. Had a cuppa soup today at school and that went down well but cold is really not helping as I have to throw up. This may be TMI but has anyone else experienced this and when they were sick had brown bits in the sick or flecks of blood? All a bit worrying really. But do feel a little better so think I shall persevere and not have a de-fill yet. Do you think it will loosen off with time? Take care Claire p.s. good news is that I am half a pound shy of losing 3 stone so very happy! -
Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)
CrazyJaney replied to Need-a-Sleeve's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am a nurse manager. I told only my close fellow mangers and my assistant directors. I told my CNO who is my direct report. I know my staff will figure it out but I don't want my weight to be the topic of conversation at the nurse station everyday. I think we all have enough to gossip about and give our opinion on - we don't need any other distractions. Managers are not legally allowed to ask what kind of surgery but only if you'll have restrictions. It's a very personal journey that requires good support. I have pretty tough battle armor but I still don't want to get into "how much have you lost, what do you eat, do you cheat, are you hungry, what if it doesn't work, you know so and so gained all theirs back, how much skin will you have?" That's all TMI in my opinion. Good luck to all of you! As a manager, I'd be extremely supportive of an employee who wanted to do this. I did the bedside for 14 years. I went into management partly because my obesity, being in my forties, I just didn't know how I was physically going to be able to do it. I'm down 45 (pre and post) and my knees and feet are already so much better! Best wishes for those of you just starting out!!! -
September 2009 Band Date
hmarko replied to ashleysara's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am getting diarrhea on the protein too but sorry for the TMI - its around a two hour period (evening). I usually eat the protein b/t 12 and 8 pm. Drinking water all day. Tried some fiber pills didn't do much. then again the barium swallow also causes diarrhea and i had that yesterday. I start mushies tomorrow and will be doing same as u eggs and tuna, and flaked sole. I may treat myself to soup (but here is where I don't know what the calories are because I'm not making it myself). on second thought I will wait -

Loveslady replied to ashleysara's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, everyone Amanda if that works for you then its quite okay. I've been at 7.1 for quite sometime. I still feel like I can eat too much but I Do know that its a mental thing and when I listen to my body I'm not really hungry at all. I'm still at 223. Yeah, thats good but I'm hoping for a grand weight loss over the summer since I don't have to make plans around a work schedule. Hmarko only 20 pounds left. wow! I can't wait for that moment. Kurby I say enjoy your trip. I think you will be just fine because its not going to let you go but so far anyway. Ladies, I'm having a pain on my banded side. I don't know what it could be. It's there when I want and when I have sex if Im laying down. Sorry if TMI. Any suggestions. I'm all ears. -
Hey Kim - My big ole' belly is keeping me from new clothes. I want new jeans. I cannot fit in them without muffin top because i'm so darn swollen. I hate to wear anything tight at all. That's why my plus clothes are already too big for me. I have a few 20's that i could give you, some kahki's, and I have bunch of Pj pants I love but are too big now. Let me know, I know others are uncomfortable getting stuff given to them. I don't have any suits or anything though. I proudly own three pairs of xl sleep pants and a new purse. I tried on so many things at kohls yesterday, I was in the misses department and took well advantage. WHy is the plus area two tight rows and the misses is about 1/4 of the women's department. GO Figure... I'm enjoying this but chunkie belly is keeping me from jeans. I have two incisions on the belly button area so I cannot comfortably stamp the jeans in the belly area. I know TMI. I'm doing well. I will be one month post op wednesday. I'm struggling to figure out the gym thingie. I gotta try hard or else i'm gonna be so giggly. Plus I love King of Queens, but the Gym has tv's and headset plug in's so I have no excuse for waiting to watch that instead of going to the gym. One more thing, I am starting to hate food. Looking at it, thinking how delicious it is and how I cannot ever eat it again. Once April 7th comes I"ll be on a more vast diet so these feelings should wane some what. Being on soft foods right now is tiring me out.

@@Chrystee Don't get discouraged! My weight stalled for about the same amount of time. I was also eating around 500 cal, and following the plan! I guess my body had to stabilize or get out of starvation mode. I don't know, but adding denser food ( as I was told to do) added more calories. I am now at about 800 calories and my weight started dropping again! I have lost 3lbs just since Monday yay! Have faith in the process & your nutritionist. Your weight will start going down again. Adding a little coffee back has helped as well! My surgeon gave me the approval & not to be TMI but it got things moving again thank God lol!

Feeling better this morning, day three. I hadn't slept for more than a few hours at a time tops while at the hospital. Last night I slept for about 9 hours! I woke up with very little pain, lots of bowel sounds and even a (sorry TMI) first loose BM. I feel a lot better now. I was starting to see that weakness on the horizon from lack of calories so I called the docs office and the nurse was so helpful with instruction updates for me. I asked about getting back on my awesome protein shakes that taste like chocolate milk (Myology Muscle Science Whey Isolate, got it on Puritain Pride B1G1) and she gave me some directions and sent me on my way. Protein shakes, yogurt, and...PUDDING! Having my first shake now, life is good once again...lol. I'm glad my tastes for the shake didn't change. Love it! -

-------As I write this note to you my new belly is in bubble heaven. I also have the runs today (TMI I know). Today is day 4 post op. can't wait to have some puréed hot cereal just not sure what flavorings I'm permitted. Will see my surgeon and NUT on thurs dec 19 if I'm off pain meds by then. Hope the runs isn't worse with purée stage but I'm assuming it will be. Incision pain is tough but nothing compared to the hiatal hernia repair work, I feel it more than anything. May have to extend my leave due to the hernia recovery and not the VSG -- crazy. My surgeon only needed to use 2 medium incisions and 2 tiny ones to get the work done; thank God! See belly Pic below. Already Sick of broth and sugar free jello (yuck)--- only like room temp water and ice chips -- sf Popsicles are ok if I lick very very slowly. Diet green tea room temp is ok and warm ginger tea is tolerable. Not sure how much I weigh now or how much I've lost but my family says they already see a loss in my face 4days out. Guess drinking only liquids for 5 days and fasting completely for 1 day will do that lol Feel Better soon! I pray that our 16-ers are recovering well or waiting patiently. -

This is a great thread! So happy to be on the 'losers bench' sipping as I write this! The road has been bumpy but I am so grateful! I took a walk early this morning, but my nausea and diarrhea need to get under control (sorry if tmi) has anyone else experienced it? I haven't had anything but water so far! Oh and cat naps =] congrats to everyone I look forward to hearing about everyone's progress! And Jen I was there for an extra day for observation (irregular heartbeat) 3 days total! Happy to be home now though -
I am glad you were "TMI" that has been a real problem. Thanks so much!

I'm still pre op until Monday. I'm on a 10 day liquid diet. Yesterday I pretty much gagged and cried while getting my protein shakes down. Today I've thrown both up. Sorry if that's tmi. Broth doesn't make me full and my unflavored protein isn't here yet. I live in a very rural small town. What did you guys do when you were on your pre op diet? Advice would be so appreciated!

Welcome new May sleevers, and I'm glad to read you are all recovering well. Don't be worried if you are hungry in the early stages because you really aren't getting many calories in yet, and fluids don't feel filling. I mostly stuck between 600 and 800 calories and am now trying to push it up to about 900. I still need to see a dietitian here, but hope to move towards a sensible 1000-1200 calories a day as soon as I'm able to eat more solids, as I want to incorporate more healthy veggie and wholegrain complex carbs in my long term diet. Doing well over here, though I think I might have lost a few kilos in the bathroom today (TMI but hadn't gone for a few days while I was stuck taking a lot of codeine for headaches then a full migraine yesterday, then got an upset tummy tonight which I think was some follow through from the crappy cold virus that had me running a temp and headachy the past 5 days - fingers crossed that means it's all been flushed away! hehe). I do need to get busy doing more exercise as soon as I have kicked this virus, but it's winter over here in Oz so just walking outdoors is out. I think I'll have to commit to joining a gym at least for the winter. I tried some of the ALDI very low carb bread the other day but didn't really like it. Still trying a few other types of protein bars and supplements and I'm keeping up my vitamins. I even got to enjoy a decent sized salad today had been missing those. Best wishes to all!

Jeri! I love your story and certainly not TMI! Thanks for sharing. I too love the outdoors and despite being a city girl, we have recently begun camping as a family and we love it. It is great for the kids to be outside in the woods as opposed to spending the summer on the sidewalks around here. You have had such an adventurous life, one that I only read about but really enjoyed imagining! Thanks again for sharing and best wishes on a successful journey.

4 weeks post surgery..having problem tollerating bread
adagray replied to jenster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, this is another area where doctor's differ on their advice. The nutritionist I worked w/at my surgeon's office for 6 months before banded recommended that I pretty much eliminate bread, Pasta, and rice from my diet (regardless if they are whole grain or not) because there is nothing in these that I really need... at least nothing that can't be gotten through a supplement. She would rather see me eat protein first, then vegies/fruit, but think of bread, pasta, rice as a once in awhile treat (a small serving up to 4 times per week is what they prefer as a limit). I have been on so many diets before. Despite my weight, I've been 'on' a diet more than I've been 'off' a diet for most of my adult life. And almost all of them recommend cutting way back on starch (even good carbs) so I've pretty much gotten used to that already. I really don't mind as long as the hunger component is taken care of (like the band does). OK... warning TMI coming.... skip to the next post if you don't want to hear about poop. As for the constipation factor, I have always been on the loose side so WLS has actually just helped me to become 'normal' in that department. I'm actually lactose intolerant too so I have to remember to take a lactaid before eating any dairy or I am in the bathroom immediately after. So, I never worry about constipation. If I was to ever get constipated, I could drink a glass of milk or, better yet, a Protein shake, without my lactaid and that would clear me. LOL But, once again, my nutritionist's advice is that fiber can be supplemented to. For the record, I'm not saying my nutritionist is God and knows better from everyone else. I'm just saying that there are different opinions on this. Its not necessarily right to say that bread is empty calories, but its not necessarily right to say that it isn't. If you lined up 100 different nutritionists/dieticians, I bet half would say one thing and half would say another. -
Can A Lap Ban Just Tighten On Its Own, Even With Weight Loss?
Alikat1 posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi there, I posted recently in regards to my struggles with food going and staying down. This is after 5 years of banding. I am living in the UK and initially went from 23 st (14lbs to a stone -work it out, because it is too much brain power for me right now to!). And went to 15st5. Then my fibromyalgia took over, and the need to eat food that would go down and stay down with my meds ended up putting me back up to 17st3lbs...due to surviving on the 2 things that would go down...chocolate and biscuits. January 15th I started low carbing. I have had my treats along the way, but have gone from the 17st3lbs to 12st11lbs (as of today). But I seem to have some days and indeed weeks in struggling with food to go down and stay down. Some days it does, no problem, but other days (and days and days) even a spoonful of yogurt can cause a problem for me. Somebody mentioned elsewhere that sometimes out of the blue a band can tighten - is this the case? I thought that as I lost weight it is supposed to loosen. As mentioned on my other post, money is very tight here, and there is no way that I will be able to get seen to privately anymore, which means reliance on the NHS. I was told it could be 6 months before I am seen by a specialist. The other day, I PB'd, and then vomitted...and really vomitted, and TMI here...but it was blackish. And I was wondering if it was some food that had been stuch for a very long time. Since then, I was able to eat my dinner the next night (yesterday) and am in fact voracious at the moment. Any light you can shed on this would be most appreciated, as it looks like getting any medical assistance is going to take a very very long time. The highligh though is I still seem to be losing weight! hurray! But eating Protein on low carb with a band I find I am struggling with as a lot of the time meats just won't go down easily. Thank you in advance for any thoughts. A.
