Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

AND it is my other neighbor from across the alley that does the mammograms...nothing like waving to the neighbor knowing they have seen your boobies up close and in person. Plus, the gyne started me on Yaz, and it is making my boobs hurt soooo bad, so the thought of having a mammogram is about as appealing as someone torturing me. (Sorry, TMI! But you already knew about my 80 boobs, so what the heck!) -
... what's a weepy rash? I get this too, under my boobs and apron area. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to make it obnoxious. I didn't even think to try to buy anything for it, I was trying to keep it warm. These are great hints that I'm going to try. Also, this may be TMI, but it smells. I mean, you can't smell it normally, but if I touch the sweat or wetness, and snif (don't laugh, you know you've done it too!) :lovechoc: it stinks!

Hey Bi's!~~ The vet just left after checking out Mo... she did NOT have to give him an enema... just removed some "matter" & said it was a good consistency... yeah, this is probably TMI, huh... well, anyway... we'll see how he does, but he should be over the worst... so TERRY -- I think it's safe to read my posts again (altho not this one, obviously). But I have nothing else really to say!! I've been so all-consumed by Mo's "habits"... I'm inching closer back to my siggy weight... 3.8 lbs to go, then I can start posting it again... I've just been really controlled w/my eating this week... using that ol' willpower... it sux, let me tell you!! But I think I told you about the "trick" I've been using... if I'm hungry, I make myself eat MEAT... I can eat only a bit 'til my band kicks in, so I think that's helping. If I eat anything soft at all, I can go on & on & on... so MEAT. Whatever. I just want to get to -100 and then to my original goal of -120, which will take me to 197lbs!! THEN... I will re-evaluate. But I want to hit that dang-blasted original goal first!!! By the end of the year!!! So at this moment, -37.8 to go. Not impossible!!! Make it a good one, Vi's!!

Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

If I don't get something done with the girls I'll be able to tuck them into my underwear soon. I swear. Brandy, your description of your tummy cracked me up. Mine looks like a big white slab of fish or something. It's just gross. TMI- I have to use the hairdryer and dry the underneath side or I get a disgusting rash. Hopefully that will help convince my insurance to pay to have it removed though. -
HI everyone--like the others I am not even going to attempt yet to keep everyone straight----I am getting old....give me some time!!! Well our rally was WET!!!! It rained hard! But we made the best of it, and the company was good, so we had fun. I know exactly about showing too much flesh Sherry!!! Oh my, there is always something at the rallies that makes my eyebrows go up!!! So I spent all weekend, with stomach issues continuing. Sometimes I would eat and it would stay down for a little while, other times it was like swallowing onto a trampoline, up it come! Then yesterday----I tossed the first half of my Breakfast, and to be honest I lied to Rick about it, so he would not worry, so I had to eat some to keep up appearances----and it stayed down! After the ride home it was feeling kind of queasy---I sipped some 7-Up and all was fine. I ate about 1/3 of a burger last night, about 3 fries, and another 7-Up. It stayed down with no issue at all! No discomfort---nothing! Then about 1:30 this morning, I had to hit the bathroom, and run back and forth all night long! Sorry I know that is a little TMI----but I am wondering if the virus is slowly working its way through or what??? I have drank today without issue, and snacked as well and all remains comfortably down. Rick said he sees a correlation between my PS swelling and my inability to keep things down. The muscle that swells so badly still does sit directly on top of my band..... So I am going to play it by ear (er stomach) and see how the week goes. I do not want to travel 6 hours to my Dr. cause my swelling to increase due to travel--get the swallow and find nothing passing and lose my band! When eventually this swelling will quit! I am going to be very abservant and see how it goes. I will be honest with myself and you guys and not let things get too bad---my DH will not let that happen!!! He is an old mother hen when it comes to health anyway!!! Betty hope you are healing up!!! I think about you!! I had never heard of taking the sips from a spoon! I was told the clear caffeine free drinks like 7-Up or Sprite will absorb through the stomach lining, without requiring digestion, faster than even Water. So I always put it over ice, which dilutes the carbonation....and it was like a miracle cure! Well I have to run to the store before I can complete supper----so better get a move on! Thanks for the well wishes, and it is good to see so many new faces!!! Give us a chance and we will get it together and remember who is who!!! LOL Kat

Yeah.... grandkids are the greatest!! We'll be heading south soon, so we'll be really missing them for the next six months! We used to have a cat that liked to pee in piles/baskets of clothes!! I'm glad this one doesn't do that! She is spoiled, and hypersensitive! TMI, but she got diarrhea last week the minute she saw our suitcases come out when we were getting ready to go to Canada! Give me a break!! I guess she thought we were leaving for another three weeks! I read an article by Consumer Reports recently and I know one of the TVs they recommended was the Vizio HDs. I know Costco sells them, but don't know who else. They're fairly inexpensive. We have a 42" Samsung LCD that we've had about a year and a half and we really like it. I trust Sears for large appliances/TVs, etc. Before i picked out this TV, I had bought one at Best Buy. Then I had second thoughts and cancelled it. The guy had just applied too much pressure and talked me into something I wasn't sure I wanted. So I went across the street to Sears and found a better deal.

I started out at 235 before surgery and was up to 237.5 afterwards. This morning I am finally down to 230.5 so I can officially say -4.5 lbs. since surgery. Overall I'm doing very well since surgery. When I get in and out of bed there is a particular area that bothers me (stiches) and I believe it is right above the port area. I bruise very easily too so the upper part of my stomach is black and blue. This next information may be TMI for some so don't read. I finally had a bm this morning and feel so much better. Today is the first day of school for me. I am taking Microbiology and a psychology class, the last two classes I need before applying to the nursing program this next January. I can't believe my goal is so close now.

Milk Diet... Day 1 ... 23 days to go!
MissWilde commented on h@rt*s mommy's blog entry in Blog 46107
Sounds similar to what I did! I got 2 litres of soya milk a day and 400ml of apple juice. I am lactose intolarant so could not have cow milk. I only had to do 7 days though! I did lose a significant amount of weight though even in a week so it was kinda worth it! The longing for food wears of one the hunger subsides I was fine by the surgery. The only down side was (this is prob TMI) the soya milk coated my tounge and no matter how much i brushed my teeth my breath was still awfull, and after a while my urine started to smell like soya milk not nice! I spent about 3 days after the op scrubbing my tounge! -

dwrd, so glad to "hear" from you! Really glad that you and your wife are home and doing well. I have been hit and miss the last couple of days too. Had to go to the main August list to find out if you'd posted yet! Was starting to worry! The gas has been bad but not toooooo unbearable but the constipation, I never took into account. Sorry, TMI but it's kinda the biggest problem I have at this point! LOL!! Take care and hang in there. Do you two have someone at home helping you?

Hey Ladies I wanted to share my experience with having surgery this past Tuesday. Monday 5pm drank 1 bottle of magnesium citrate Stomach exploded all night long... Woke up 5:30 am Made it to the hospital around 7am - checked in. Nurses called me back around 7:30. Stomach still bubbling:unsure: I go to the preop area get an IV and wait. Made 3 trips to the bathroom since the IV. Anastesilogist can to the room asked if I took a pregnancy test.. No.. The nurse forgot to give it to me.. So had to take the test wait another 30 mins for results. Anyway they finally took me back to the O.R. around 11am. The nurse puts on the compression garments on my legs and the ana..logist gives me some feel good. We are in the O.R. laughing and having a good time. Next thing I know. I am waking up in recovery. My first thought in my head was... what the F*ck have I done! The pain was unberable!!! I wasn't expecting it to hurt so bad. Anyway I had a nurse with who tried to rush me out of recovery. She woke me up saying "Ms. Speed the Dr. said you look fine, so you can go home." She kept on tapping me on the shoulder, and shaking me. :sneaky: So I finally am able to mouth "I'm in pain" she gives me a dirty look because she doesn't want me to fall back asleep. So the Dr. comes and gives me some more pain meds:thumbup: and I fall back asleep. Mean while laying in the bed in recovery I hear the nurse referr to me as her "problem patient":cursing::cursing::cursing: So I politely called her over and said "I KNOW YOU ARE IN A HURRY TO GET ME OUT OF HERE" "BUT I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!" "I AM STAYING RIGHT HERE UNTIL I FEEL BETTER" She left my bedside and switch patients with another nurse. This nurse was great, she let me sleep until I felt like I could go home. This lady took me to the restroom, and helped me sit on the toilet. (I know TMI!) but my legs were shakey. I finally felt good enough to leave the hospital around 3pm. I went home and slept all night. Not much pain while laying down. Just pain when I try to turn my torso.

Beware---some of this post could be considered TMI! Okay... so yesterday I noticed my stomach aching in the area where I'm sure the band is. Aching with a sharp pain every now and again. Last night it hurt as I was going to sleep, but woke up this morning and it felt better at first but as the day progressed it started to ache again. I was banded in January and had very little restriction until my 4th fill which was last month. I can still eat pretty much anything as long as I am careful with things like bread. So I'm going back in my memory trying to figure out if I should be concerned about this or if it is just muscle ache from being more active then usual. So Sunday... I had a pretty good size Breakfast, which I felt full after eating, but not painfully full and no issue's with backing up. (So here's the tmi) About 2-3 hours after breakfast my husband and I had sex and I was on top for the first time in years :w00t:. Then Sunday night we had pretty vigorous sex again :cool2::embaressed_smile:. Then yesterday early evening we took our son to the park and I decided that I'd race my pre-schooler. It was my first attempt at running in-well-possibly ever. So now my left side is really achy. My stomach around my band, my lower back and my thigh are all achy today. It does not hurt to swallow/eat, but it hurts my stomach and into my left lower back to take a deep breath. I am not having any issues with reflux, pb or vomiting. I was thinking I'd try to stick to mostly liquids for the next day or so (which is nearly impossible for me to do), and then if I am still hurting by Thursday morning I will call my doctor and see what they have to say. So should I be worried?

OMG!!! I feel....
soontobehottie replied to rcoleband's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ali thanks for your post! I am now just 2 weeks post op and some days I feel great and others I am like Vegas, I feel like I am 80!! lol! I have lost 9 pounds since surgery and a total of 21 since starting the preop diet. All in all I would do it again in a heart beat. The discomfort is worth it if I am a healthier person in the end and live not only longer but a better life. Now I really only have a little pain around my port area and I swear that it sticks out even though husband says it doesn't. Oh and sex can be a little bit uncomfortable, it kind of feels like the port is going to pop out...tmi I know but its weird. Rcoleband, thanks for starting this thread, its great to hear success stories!! Keep up the good work. -
Constipation (sorry if TMI, but I have a ?)
Celnun replied to littlefroggy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The MOM is non-cramping. I had to take it and let me tell you it works within a couple of hours. I waited to take it and had a very painful BM....I know TMI but I wish I would have taken it sooner like I was told to. -
Constipation (sorry if TMI, but I have a ?)
littlefroggy posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor recommended Milk of Magnesia for constipation. It's a full week after my surgery and no BM yet. Today I started feeling like I have to "go" but have not and really want to avoid the pain of cramping if I do start to cramp. As of now I just have that sort of feeling, but no go. I am a little scared to take the M of M... did anyone take it for this? I have never had it before and do NOT want diarrhea or cramping! I am only going to take 2 tbs which is the minimum dose... thanks! -
I have not had any burning feelings, but have had pressure between my chest, which is gas and burps trying to come up. The first one on the day of the surgery felt great! Now it's getting easier to burp but I still need to "self burp" by rubbing the upper part of my chest and tapping (like you would to a baby's back to get the burp up). For the first few days I had a strange feeling on my left side, near the port area, and I can only explain it as a form of muscle spasm. For all the general aches and fever I liked using the liquid Tylenol. The gas X is helping with the other issues Last night I was able to get a fairly decent night sleep and can now roll onto my side for short periods to release gas, then sleep more comfortable on my back for now (sorry if this is TMI). I believe if you are having any acid reflux then you can take chewable rolaids or tums, but check with your Dr. and nurses first. By day three I am allowed milk, so perhaps try to drink some of that and it might sooth the problem. Good luck

Hi all, Well, just to grumble a little...I live downtown, and the noise from the planes has been going on for two days. These are the loud planes, practicing for the weekend airshow...UGH! Not what you want to listen to while recovering from surgery... The good news is, that my monthly friend came to visit last week, and was long gone before surgery. Thank goodness! It has been hard enough to wipe after peeing, there is no way I could have also dealt with having a period while recovering!!! TMI, I know, but we're all friends, right?

Hey all!! Of course you all can go on our weekend getaway! Instead of a "mommies getaway" we'll call it the Amazing April Avengers Superhot Chicks getaway or something equally corny! LOL! PS is definitely in my future as well. I've already told my hubby that's the first thing I'm doing when I get done with nursing school. I won't be able to stand it. It already drives me nuts and I've still got a long way to go. It's mostly my lower abdomen. I'll need help with my arms and maybe a little bit on my upper inner thighs. I'm definitely doing something to the girls. I at least want them put back up where they belong. Okay, this is going to be so very TMI, but I also want something done to the pubes. I don't care how thin I get, I still have a lot of fat right there. I saw on one of the PS shows where they removed the fat and it was amazing. Okay, that's just vanity talking, but like nurse said if I'm working this hard to look hot, I want it all done right!!! I'm like you Leslie, I love my calves and my arse! :sneaky: I also have a small waist and that's what friends have been noticing, which is nice. Mostly it's an illusion, but I'm not telling. I have wide hips and big boobs so it naturally makes my waist look even smaller especially if I wear black pants. Anyway, I am happy with myself for right now, but it's time to start kicking it!! Mom and Turler - yes, things are okay for now. Thanks for asking. I'm just ready for the kids to go back to school and to get back in a routine on Monday. My hubby comes back Friday night. I'm having my youngest's b-day party Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Then I'm thinking of getting a few girlfriends together for dinner out or something. I so wish all of you guys were closer. We'd have a blast!!! I really just need a break!! I sort of lost it the other night and ripped my hubby a new one long distance! I think he'll be very appreciative and willing to do whatever I ask of him for a while. I hated that I got so upset. He's normally the sweetest, best guy but he was complaining that he wasn't having any fun and poor him. I just lost it. He's lucky he wasn't actually here and he could just put the phone down! LOL!!! He apologized and all's fine, but sheesh!!!! Nurse- way to go on the sexy nightie!! I haven't treated myself to something like that for a long time. I'm having a sitter come over tomorrow so I can go get my textbooks. Maybe I'll stop by the mall and see what I can find. You guys have a great day!! I've got to get busy. My house is a nightmare and I can't take it another second!!! P.S. Sorry this is so long, I guess I'm feeling chatty today. I've been alone with the kids too long.

I'm aiming for 100 ounces. This may be TMI - but my urine is now almost clear (since I started upping my water). It used to be a lot darker. I've heard your water intake affects it - the clearer the better. Myth or something to it?

I'm new and have a couple of questions.
HeatherO replied to MissBS's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Atkins Advantage taste pretty good. I also drank the Isopure pre-mixed clear drinks after surgery and they were not bad . . . not good, but not bad either. Watch your caffeine intake if you ingest a lot now. It may give you headaches when you try to stop. I take a CVS brand called Spectravite. They are reasonably priced adult orange flavored chewables. I like them because they actually taste good. Normal Vitamins cause me to burp a wierd taste sometimes, sorry if it is TMI. Since they are chewable, they are super easy to ingest as well. -
Dam this took over an hour to read through and I have to say you all are GREAT, I know for some its tuff talking like this in an open forum with strangers. Ok now that the TMI issue has been tossed out the window I have a few words. I have noticed that when she eats a healthier diet her love muffin has a very mild aroma and taste, I’m happy to say she eats healthy most of the time!!! Now on to the squirting, my wife just lucked out and never needed to learn from a book, just CAME naturally to her, no pun intended! I was aware of this type of female orgasm before my wife and through one of the books taught a few of my partners how to squirt, now this all being said no worries to all those who don’t squirt when you cum, my wife says she just cum’s and sometimes it has a nice fountain with it. I would say it’s about 80% of the time. Three words Hitachi Magic Wand. Well for my wife and I when it’s time for the fun to end its me from behind and here holding the Hitachi magic wand, open the flood gates she is like that Geyser in Yellowstone “Old Faithful” Oh and as far as being told by my partner how and what she likes I have no issues with that, I was lucky when I was younger I went through a phase where I was very attracted to older woman and one of the things I liked most was many of them were not shy when it came to being vocal about what they liked. This has helped me big time over the years, I have also found that goodcommunication is your best friend not only with sex but with life in general remember we cant read minds!!! Oh and very sorry if any of this bothers any of ya, lol Im all druged out from being banded the other day WOOOT for me

Hello All; I have been low carbing for the last two months and doing pretty well averaging a 1-2 pound loss each week. Well TOM came (sorry if TMI) went up 5 lbs, but didn't worry and sure enough 1 week later I was down the same 5 lbs. Now here is the extremely frustrating part...... 1 1/2 weeks later the scale has not budged. I have followed the low carb diet to the T, the ketosis stick can't get any darker, I drink my 8 glasses of Water faithfully and I have upped my aerobic exercise from 30 minutes a day to 60. What is going on. I know me and when disappointment sets in, depression is not far behind. I am trying my best to hold on, but I am truly doing all that I can do at this point to loose and my body is not cooperating. I still have quite a ways to go on my weight loss journey and to be stalled so far in the beginning really, really hurts. HELP!!!!!!!!!
