Do I have to say TMI in a ladies forum? If so...TMI! Just a little venting. I've lost 95 pounds so far which is 51% toward my goal so I still have a ways to go before plastics would be recommended/wanted. I was expecting saggy skin and wasnt too concerned about it right away because I knew it was just part of this life. What I wasn't expecting was having SO much extra skin on and around my genitals! Theres at least 3 inches of excess skin on EACH side of EACH interior and exterior folds. That's 12 inches of extra skin around my vagina! Then there is literally a full hand-full of extra skin in the front pubic region. My bum around this area is saggy as well which is creating so much more of a droopy look/feel. Ive already experience a UTI, which I feel is from all of this extra skin and folds. I shower daily, drink at least 72oz of water, and wear airy dresses just because thats my style, but it also keep things from getting too warm/moist so getting a UTI should be rare. I almost feel like there should be some sort of underwear created to keep this region pulled in yet allow a natural amount of air flow. "V-Spanx"!!! What in the world can I do for the next 95 pounds until I feel surgery is warranted? Anyone else have ideas that might work??

Very saggy lady bits and only half way there!
karen_marie replied to B.Annie's topic in The Gals' Room
@FluffyChix one of my friends got her tummy tuck the day before I got my RNY done (she had her RNY 3yrs ago). The first thing she was showing me and her other close girlfriends was how good her lady bits looked now LOL she was like 'look how pretty my bits are now! no more FUPA!' (TMI but FUPA (pronounced FOO-pah) stands for fat upper pubic area) -

Only 4 days to get the thought of all that tubing out of my mind. I feel nauseous. Never thought I'd say this, but TMI IMO. -
When you say first few months how many months do you mean?? I'm 8 weeks out and planning a summer vacation in another 3 weeks and I worry I won't be able to cope . Also how were your labs the first few months? I'm taking all my Vitamins but worry with a super fast digestion my body won't be able to absorb any of it. Sorry for tmi but my stools are greasy.. Have you experienced that? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

TMI but it fits the conversation ;0) My breathe and body odors are the same but my BM's are horrid! Very foul. I don't know if its due to the increase in stomach acid or protein, but they are definitely stinky. Also, I'm more prone to eatery stools than anything else. Yep, TMI....;0)

I cheated. I confess. I really tired to hold it together through this liquid diet thing. I started my Clear liquid diet on Last Thus and last night(sat) i couldnt stand it anymore...i have to get an ultimate cheeseburger from Jack In The Box. I really tried...i almost cried over it. This is bad....now i know how i got this big...im definately realizing whenever im stressed i get cravings like a pregnant woman. So then today i said to myself....im gonna do better i dont need this and i can fight this...so i took my fiance and took him to see 2 movies today. We saw Madagacar and Monster In Law.....welllllllllllll little did i know the urge of movie theater popcorn would be in my face...so i did it again i got popcorn. I could scream i feel so guilty....i felt like goin into the bathroom and pukin it up...sorry for TMI everyone...i think i seriously have an issue with food. This is the hardest thing i have ever done in my life hands down. I need some strength. I hope my liver isnt too big because i cheated on my clear liquid diet. I will be religeous about it from now on...ive made the promise to myself and my fiance is tryin to help me get through this. I hope 3 good clear liquid diet days will be sufficiant for my liver to go down enough. Anyone bigger and have no problem with surgery after only a few days of the liquid diet...im scared i may have just ruined everything for me...why am i so weak!!!! Sorry i had to vent..someone please respond...i really do need some input...

Dealing with reflux...tips?
HalloweenBaby replied to ctsleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm having a lot of reflux also and my surgery is next week. I have noticed since not eating any dairy for the past 24 hrs my reflux isn't as bad. I think I'm lactose intolerant because tmi I normally have a lot of gas if I eat dairy. So try it without dairy ! -
Day Six postop.....questions...
twobluecats posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So, I'm progressing day by day....but I have questions. I've asked on OH too, but there are so many recent patients here, that I thought I'd ask here as well. This is a TMI question.....how long before I can expect a bowel movement? I know I'm pretty much on liquids only, but nothing here so far. I took some Miralax last night, and I'm gonna try some more today. I am also working on some more walking. And, can you guys tell me what you lost the first week? I know I shouldn't expect much, but I am just curious. I think I've lost about 3-5 pounds, but I'm retaining Water too. I think walking will help with that. Thanks for all the amazing support here! Hey all, I really need some advice. I had my first and only fill on may 6th and now 3 weeks later I feel very tight and uncomfortable. It had been about 4 days feeling this week. Is it common to have a delayed reaction like this? I had been feeling wonderful before hand. I am also extreamly constipated (tmi I know, but trying to figure this out), could the constipation be making me feel tight? please any any all thoughts and advice is MUCH appreciated. thanks in advance, amy

Post Op day 5! Is this stuff normal?
Vad1988 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I had VSG on 7-14 so that makes today post-op day 5. Down 20 lbs since pre-op diet I have been feeling so much better then I ever expected, until today. Today has been a little different. The last few times I've stood up I've felt very light headed and like I may pass out. And I have a very strange pain/pressure about 4 inches below my stomach incision. It hurts to sit up straight. Maybe it's gas? Also, I haven't had a bowel movement in almost a week. I took softeners Friday and MiraLax yesterday and still nothing. Any advice? Sorry I know TMI but everyone has been here lol. I've had Greek yogurt, soup, pudding, jello, ect. -
I I got sleeved march 18th and finally was able to go to the bathroom yesterday. Now today I been up for maybe three hours and I've gone 4 times already ( diarrhea) is this normal? And if so why is this happening?

Nervous Newbe - What's it like? Tell me everything!
Myaiku_Kuraitani replied to RedOrangeSunrise's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm almost 9 weeks post op. The experience is nice. I was losing a pound a day last month now it's a pound or two every few days til I stall. There will be stalls. The only thing I hate is the constipation (TMI), the nausea upon waking up and the weakness. I have been getting bouts of energy lately. The best part is getting full fast. You get full off of protein and water fast. At least that's how it works for me. Try to watch what you eat. Your pouch/sleeve can be fussy with what you put in it. You'll have your good days and your bad days. Hopefully more good than bad. Hope this helped at least a little bit. Good luck with your surgery! Ok so I'm getting the band in a few months. I guess my main concern is that my doc recommends eating 3 small meals a day and no snacking in between. However, whenever I go awhile without food, I start feeling really sick- lightheaded, dizzy, clammy, weak-- and then I my stomach feels like it drops and I dry heave (TMI, I know). I'm really worried that I will have that problem if I'm not eating much after the banding and I've read alot about how throwing up can cause the band to slip. Should I be worried? Or will I usually still have something in my stomach to keep me from having what I assume is the effects of low blood sugar(which actually my dr. said can't be right since I have insulin resistance and high blood sugar). Anyone know? THanks!!

SURGERY 9 FEBRUARY 2015
whirlwen replied to Brigette's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery went well. Been up walking this morning and am pretty sore after. Only used the pain pump three or so times during the night and am trying not to use it now. TMI alert: having a problem with urinary incontinence. I've peed myself several times because it doesn't feel like I have to go. Maybe because of the catheter during surgery? Anyway, hope all is well with the feb 9thers! Sending healing thoughts your way! -

Day 5 post op - constant bathroom trips
Newme17 replied to PAguy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like me. I was sleeved on the 15th. Started the bathroom trips on the 18th, part diarrhea and some solids together. (Sorry if tmi) I too got spasms especially afterwards. It seems to have died down somewhat, but I did have another episode this morning. I am just doing my best to make sure I've got water in. I've read others who've been through it too, so it can be normal. But your best bet is to call your doc is you're more concerned then I am. Lol. Blessings to you! Hope it goes away soon. -
Hey guys. How do you know if you are dumping? I haven't had any other symptoms aside from (please excuse, TMI) diarrhea. Have had it today only and only two times. Is this dumping? Havent had hot flashes or nausea or racing heart. Wondering if this is just from something I ate or if I ate too much of something if that makes sense.

Dumping Syndrome from drinking too quickly?
Sjane posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I never imagined this could be an issue. I drank 16 oz of water in a hour (trying to meet my 80 oz goal). The only thing I had with it was my vitamins. Within minutes of swallowing my last vitamin I was doubled over in the bathroom. And I know its TMI but what came out the other side was still cold. Literally all the water I just drank is gone! Anyone experience this before? -
Warning: This may be TMI Ever since I had surgery, I have had diarrhea . However, this last week has taken a turn for the worst. It has evolved from painless to extremely painful! Often, it will sneak up on me in the form of gut-ripping pain, where I can feel my intestines churning and bubbling. And this goes in intervals throughout the entire day, making it very difficult to carry on with life. It makes me paranoid to go for a walk...because what if I start getting those warning pains while I am away from home, with no bathroom in sight? I usually only get a few minutes to find a restroom once the cramping starts. I am friends with a Registered Dietitian with a specialization in bariatrics, and after a long discussion of what I've been eating....it appears I may have an extreme intollerance to dairy products in any form - even the whey-based Proteins. I have been attempting to consume a variety of whey-based Protein since 3 days post op, and always with the same effect: I can consume 3 or 4 swallows and then my stomach starts to painfully churn. What I did consume sits in my stomach like a brick for a couple of hours and increases in discomfort if I attempt to drink Water or anything else before it clears. And then without fail...the gut-wrenching diarrhea. I did attempt to ingest soy protein on one occassion....similar results, in that I had a TON of gas that walking and Gas-X couldn't control. Probably will not attempt it again any time soon. Since I hit mushies, I have branched out into things like ricotta, cottage cheese, yogurt...with similar results. Dietitian says I should cut out everything even vaguely dairy related for a week and see if my symptoms improve....needless to say, I am bummed! But willing to try anything at this point to not be held hostage by my intestines! Any other recommendations are welcome

How much did you loose on your 2 week pre op diet?
2018Pammy replied to Luzbella's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started my preop diet on Monday, July 9th. My surgery is Monday, July 23rd. My diet consists of a protein shake for breakfast no more than 160 calories and the same for lunch. Then i have a lean cuisine for dinner. I'll tell you what...a frozen meal never tasted so good. I think i even licked the container! I am down 8 lbs so far. During my rough times I have had a side salad with very little dressing or some string cheese. The most difficult part for me is that i have been really constipated (sorry if that is TMI) My doctor told me to start on a stool softener and that has helped. Good luck on your preop diet. Stay busy if you get hungry and it helps to take your mind off of it. -

Hi sorry if this is TMI ... but just wanted to get some input. I'm 7 months out from sleeve surgery and I've been doing great. The occasional dumping if I eat something I'm Not suppose too.... however suddenly the past 5 days I haven't been able to hold anything down! I think I had food poisoning from some fish I ate the first two days... but it hasn't stopped. Any little thing I eat runs thru me... even water makes me go to the bathroom #2! Anyone been through the same thing or similar?? Any tips?
