I put my swimsuit on yesterday. Back in March while I was in California and Mexico it was super snug. I had to wiggle my way in and out. Yesterday it was loose and baggy. Extra baggy up top. :-( It frustrates me that many plus sized swimsuits are designed assuming the plus sized woman has a large bust. I just don't. And what little I have is disappearing with every pound. I was pleased at the apparent weight loss but saddened by just how unfeminine I felt in my swimsuit.

And I wore a bathing suit! Lost 30 lbs total...what a difference that made! Still have 50 lbs to go...this is a blessing for all of us! -
Keep on trucking! Most of us slow down at about that time period. Keep your eye on how the clothes fit and all your NSVs to get you through the slow downs. Sounds like you are doing wonderful!

So tomorrow is my 2 month bandiversary! i feel like i have come a long way.. the way i feel.. how i eat... how my clothes feel.. i recently went back to work on June 10th and while the scale is still moving it has gone slower.. so i said to myself okay.. that's prolly normal, give my body time to catch up or something... I have had a few NSV's at work to make up for it and well just simply amaze me and some of my co -workers... I am able to get up with my alarm and get to work.. not feeling as tired or sluggish before... one of our providers told me friday "Jen you need to buy new shirts these are swimming on you" .. and the best accomplishment yet.. we have a set of stars that are two full sets.. before i would huff n puff and have to stop to catch my breath so i avoided them like the plague... i got up them with not so much huff and puff! I love it! The little things definitely help keep my motivated and once again i stop to ask myself "why didn't i do this sooner!" Thanks for letting my post my wonderful accomplishments thus far!! What are yours?

So this week has been pretty hard, but yesterday I realized some of my pain is already gone, and that's amazing! For a couple of months I had been getting bad, all-day-all-night pain in both hips/thighs, almost like a constant muscle soreness except minus the exercise that usually causes that sort of thing. When I was making my list of NSVs for the first time, I put that one up top. It was so bad some days I felt hobbled, and I'm 26. I didn't know what it was, but I wanted it gone. Yesterday I stood up to walk around and realized that I had just stood up with no. Pain. Not only that, but I had BEEN standing up with no pain all day, and my relatively pain-free state has thus far continued. HELL YES. As hard as this first week is, I have this little victory to hang on to. My other little victories/goals, scale and non-scale, in the rough order in which I hope to achieve them: Get below 250. I've been above 250 for a year. Start a series of every-morning pictures when I go back to work. Fit into my favorite pants again (the size 18s that had started to hurt when I wore them) Get below 230. I've been over 230 for a year and a half. Find an exercise I like! Get below 220. I've been over 220 for three years. Buy NEW favorite pants ;] Review my series of every-day pictures: six-month mark Have my ankles and knees not ache every 8 hour standing shift I do at work. Get below 210, which I haven't been under since I started college in 2005. Donate most of my too-big clothes. (keeping some for comparison!) Feel -- not even see, just feel! -- my hip bones again. I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE GUYS. Get below 200. I've been over 200 lbs since 17. Fit into a pair of size 14 pants. Get below 190. My lowest weight ever in my adult life was 187 at 16 years old, and I looked good. It's a shame I didn't know how good I looked, actually, but that's what you get when you're a slightly body-dysmorphic teenager. Sure, I was still pudgy, but I was awesome pudgy and I should have flaunted. CELEBRATE THAT ****. Get below 180 -- uncharted territory! GOAL: 175-170

So I am only 11 days post op but have had 2 great things happen today. I put on a pair of shorts that haven't fit in over a year and they are perfect! And I bent over and tied my shoe in the middle and didn't have to pull my foot up to my knee to do it!! And my scale victory is that I am down 24 pounds!!!

I just got back from my first flight since surgery on March 4 2013. And not only did I not need a seat belt extender but I prolly had 5 or 6 inches of belt to spare.

I seem to be having a dumb moment... What does "NSV" stand for? Clearly something in regards to positive progress, but I can't guess the wording lol. Thanks for helping me out of my dumb blonde moment. (I'm blonde so can say that LOL)

Hello Friends. Just thought I'd share a NSV!! I set a personal goal to loose 10 pounds before my liquid diet. I lost 8. Since being on my pre op diet I've lost 8....here's the NSV.... I was asked today if I've already had surgery! Made me feel amazing and helped me to keep my eye on the prize! 7 days until surgery!!!!

Sweet, the rediscovery of your collarbones is a great NSV! Sent from my iPad using VST

I have some. I never knew I had them, though of course they must have always been there but now, they let themselves be known! I love them, even though they freak me out a little. I reach up to scratch an itch on my neck or rub my moisturiser in or adjust my bra strap and BOOM! I hit a W/T/F moment as my hand hits this weird, large, protruding bone! I haven't gotten used to it yet. I LOVE how I can see them now when I look in the mirror even if I am still unprepared for when I feel them sticking out like they do. Like they are meant to. An unexpected little NSV. Collarbones. I can sit here and play with them :-)
