I am due for revision Band to VSG late/December. Either Aceves or Rodriguez will do the surgery. I did well with the band and don't have a lot to lose but am focused on maintaining my lifestyle and not gaining weight back - even losing a bit more. As I get closer and after revision I will post to get helpful suggestions

  4. Oh gosh! I'm so sorry! What did Barker's office tell you? They should be able to resubmit with the weights from Curves shouldn't they?

  5. Hello. I'm doing alrgiht. 3rd wk out and no weight loss to report. When does the scale start to move??

  6. Deb - Well, things are going fine. I am still not use to eating yet. My eyes are still a lot bigger than my stomach. Other than that, things seems to be going pretty good. Weight loss is going pretty good. You weight loss is amazing!! Congrats!! Hope you have a good week.

  9. Hey guys.

I've been sleeved on Sept 20th. The first week amazing, I lost 12 pounds, but during the last 8 days, I gain 1 or 2 pounds. What I am doing wrong???

  10. Hi Chilo,

If it is any help, I am feeling the same, just low at the moment and no more weight loss for me. I hate being such a slow loser and it gets me down in fits and starts. You are doing really well with your weight loss I wish I was 82Kilo! Still I suppose we are here for the long haul.

I read minime story too... there is defo hope cos her stats are similar to mine!

  11. Deb - Happy Birthday!! Congratulations with the weight loss.

  12. Hey Skinny!! (smile).. How are you doing?? We need to catch up soon!. I am in VA now and loving it!! I am about 95lbs and still losing. I am working out still and loving that lifestyle as well. I know, it seems after weight loss, we just are soo busy living life and trying to enjoy life like never before. I start my new job on Monday(Oct.4) and looking forward to that. Let's catch up soon. Love you Jules!! :)

  13. Wow, Tim, it sounds like you've got a lot on your plate right now (except for food)! I'm sorry things are so stressful.

I'm not on regular foods yet. I have one more week of mushies and then move on to soft foods. I'm pretty sure I'm confusing the two. I started doing much better this past week because I added fish to my diet. I did it a little earlier than scheduled, but I had to do something to get in enough protein. I told the doc about it and she is (mostly) okay with it. My weight loss is frustratingly slow. I don't know why. I'm walking on the treadmill (only fifteen minutes a day) and I'm getting my protein in and I'm not overdoing carbs or calories. I'm still not drinking enough liquids, but I'm doing the best that I can. I feel great for parts of the day and then sink into a no energy zone for a while. I sure hope this evens out.

How are you feeling? What are you eating?

  14. Lillie

Just wanted to say you are going great! I joined the board about the time you were having surgery and read your posts often. I am finally getting my surgery date (probably Nov 10) and am trying to gear up for this life style change! My starting weight is about where you were on your surgery date so have followed your progress. You are doing great!! Hope we can stay in touch, I could sure use some advice from someone who has been there!! Take care and keep up the good work!!!

    Renee

  15. Hi Coops, the only new news with me is that I went to a health trainer yesterday. It's part of the NHS weight loss program. It was ok, the lady was really nice but I got emotional and ended up having a melt down. The lady was really sweet about it though.

I go on Monday to see my GP to discuss the surgery.

    Hope you're doing well

  16. Hiya Chilo,

yea I am good... all good here in sunny Wales...lol

Lost 35lb now which is around 17kg so I am getting there!!

Work is ok, I have more energy when I get home now, so I am really starting to feel the benefits of losing some weight and getting fit!

How are you doing... glad you updated your ticker... you are doing soooo well in just 8 weeks (?) xx

  17. hi im really impressed with ur weight loss and ur journey. sent u a friend request. thx -sel

  18. I had to go back to work this week, 11 days post surgery. I was very worried about how I'd do, and honestly, I think people need two weeks off of work. Part of each day I felt great, and there were other parts that were really kind of tough.

My weight loss has stalled, but I've decided to be okay with that. I'm still not getting in every bit of protein I'm supposed to, but I'm doing better.

How are you? Glad you're home and on the mend.

  19. (It would not let me post the entire message, had to submit in two posts)

Thanks for the encouraging words:-) As of right now, my weight loss has slowed. I am 6 weeks post op and have lost a total of 41 pounds. Plus I have started to incorporate regular foods back into my diet, which was a lot of trial and error the first week, but now so far so good. However, I must admit that I have eaten nuggets at Chick-fil-a couple of times :-( and my weight loss has slowed (which I am a little concerned about) But other that, everything has been going well.

  20. Well six months out and doing good. The weight just keeps slowly coming off.

Down 72 lbs now. I am doing a lot of biking so I have also out on some muscle.

Just started lifting weights again a week ago so I expect to put some more weight with that.

Into 38 in. jeans now... and I don't know the last time that happened!

Bags and bags of my clothes to the thrift store... I refuse to spend much on clothes.

I going with one pair of jeans at a time through the journey...

I don't count carbs or cals at all and I am enjoying eating less food... cookies (life style kind) every day with my Tim Horton's coffee.

I would like to be down 100lbs by Christmas... It will be close!

    Blessings Russ

  21. Hey how are your tats doing with the weight loss. I am having sleeve on 09/22/10 and I wonder how they will do.

  22. Hi, I was reading some of your posts and was interested in your story. As you were my BMI is on the low side. It is @ 31% but I have been on diet pills for the past year, so it could be higher. I only have about 30lbs to lose at this time and am worried that this is to drastic for that much weight. But I have struggled with the up and down my entire life. Do you think that the sleeve is worth the time and money for 30lbs? Very worried about losing too much and looking horrible and like I am on drugs!! Any comments or encouragement is greatly appreciated :)

  23. OK just remember you will get through it. At first I was like what did I do to myself??? Now I'm so happy. No hunger and losing weight :)...You will be in my prayers hugs :) keep me posted!

  24. Sorry I'm so late responding - still trying to figure out the whole private message thing...lol! Thanks for the encouragement. I'm 10 days out and except for exhaustion I can't hardly tell I've had surgery! Out of my 6 incisions all but one have already faded to pale pink lines - but I've always been a fast healer. The one joy is that I no longer have to sip - I can just drink normally that's how fast the swelling went down. Hopefully the weight goes down as well....LOL. Thanks for the good wishes!
