Thank you GOD!! Today was a good day!!! I was able to get myself out of my HIGH bed this morning. I had an entire jello, boost, and plenty of water today. I only had 2 doses of pain meds since I woke up. Mainly due to me trying to have a BM. I know TMI. I have really had a very pleasant day. So just like the others who stated before IT GETS BETTER!!! I am on my way fellow bandsters. :rolleyes2:

Embarrassing Diarrhea Question
Soexcited replied to ChristineXtreme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 16 days post op, just starting mushies and me too I am super gassy, rumbly tummy, squirty, and TMI I know but sooo stinky! Its so embarrasing I dont know what to do? -
So many things to talk about! I had to write all my comments down as I finally watched the finale today. Amanda looks REALLY pretty now! She never was and never will be one of my favorites but I have to give her credit. Tracy looks a lot older now and she looks anorexic. Sorry for TMI but she's completely flat-chested now, that dress didn't look right because of it, though it was a gorgeous dress. When they showed Liz by her old self, she honestly just doesn't look much different from when she started. I think it's interesting that her and Amanda actually ended up being less than 1% away from each other, I believe. I love Rebecca, but her new hairdo looks AWFUL and her dress looks like she picked it out of the kids' department. It was really really unflattering and you could see the extra skin around her thighs. I was honestly thinking about that when I saw Rebecca and Dina - especially because Rebecca wouldn't say a word for a long time until after she had gotten moved to first place. They interviewed Danny on my local radio show this morning. One of the DJs asked him if he knew how much he weighed before the finale so that when they told him how much he needed to lose to beat Rudy, if he knew if we won or not. He said he hadn't weighed himself for awhile before the finale and when he saw Rudy's numbers, he was just praying that he lost as much as he needed to. They also asked about the extra skin - he said he uses something called a "Yummy Tummy" to keep it pulled in. He also talked about how there is a plastic surgeon who talks to the contestants right after the finale to offer their services and what they can do, etc. It's nice to have access to such a huge radio station, they've talked to Bob, Jillian, Tara, and Danny now. I'm sure they've talked to others as well that I just didn't hear. I can't believe the new season starts in January already, it looks like they're going to keep doing 2 seasons a year now instead of one a year.

Day 2 so much pain
SwanGal replied to realtruelady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for posting this!! I was banded yesterday 12/9 and am in horrible pain. I think it's gas. It hurts really bad, like BADDDD. I can't get away from the pain. Sometimes if I lean to the right a bit I get relief. I am scared to let gas out when I feel it coming because of the lovely loose stools (TMI I KNOW) because of all the liquids only so I get up and go to the bathroom and by then the urge to release gas is gone. It's making me crazyyy! -
Day 2 so much pain
thinkoflaura replied to realtruelady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
sariel - you and i are bandster twins... i also got my band on 12/7 and am just finally starting to feel a little better. last night (first night home) i was in excruciating pain - my entire torso was throbbing... i guess it was the gas. i walked around the house as much as possible, took 1 chewable gas-x (though who knows if that did anything because the gas was not in my intestines), rocked in a rocking chair, used a heating pad on my back and then did considerable amounts of whining. I passed some gas last night (TMI - sorry) and feel a little better today. everyone (including the doctors) say keep moving - i know that's so hard when you just want to curl up and cry... but i do think that helped. see you around the boards! -

Daisy, glad you are feeling better. The Big "D" will go away. TMI next You should be glad it is so loose as you really do not want to do any pushing after that surgery. Funny where some blessing come from. LOL Get your Water and Fiber in every day and you will recuperate fast. Side note here: the first time I ever visited Dallas (the big D) I got a case of Diarrhea so bad it took weeks to fully get over. Ever since, diarrhea had been the Big D in our house. I still do not like to visit Dallas. Sorry Texans. I like the Kerrville (hill Country) area a lot. So, not all of Texas, just Dallas. There, did I make peace? I do not want to mess with Texas. (Texans get even~~scary thought)

I am completely unfilled now, but i am still swollen so will take a little over a week to get back to normal. I used to throw up many times a day, acid reflux super bad all of that! I had my gallbladder pulled 9/14 and things were better for awhile, only had 22 cc's in a 10 cc band and had to have a complete unfill. Doctor says I am doing something wrong so going to unfill start my eating all over and see if I can just do it on my own. I am only 10 pounds away from goal. But my main problem is fiber and you know what happens with not enough fiber not to give tmi. So you gave me some good info! And I really appreciate it. I will be checking your progress and you look amazing!!!!

Hi everyone, Welcome Tweety and good luck tomorrow on your surgery! I know you'll do just fine! Being a regular poster here will help you tremendously -- be sure to log in soon and let us know how you are doing. Okay, getting ready to leave for my dr appt. Leg is looking really good, I'll be shocked if surgery does not proceed tomorrow. I'm so happy about that. DSS (dear step son) pulled crap last night. Honestly, as if we don't have enough to deal with right now? You might recall he just showed up here a few weeks ago from Oregon asking us to forgive him and let him back in our home. He will be 22 in March -- he is no young kid. Well, he seemed to be doing okay -- in fact he did start work last Mon. at Walmart. It's almost like when things are going good he MUST screw them up. Well, he worked Sat. and said he was going to spend the night with a friend that we know and go to church with his family yesterday and would be home by 1:30 p.m. to get ready for work by 3:00 -- well, no show and no call -- we were frantic by midnight -- caling hospitals, police. He called in sick at work (so that job is probably gone) and we had no idea where he was. He finally called at midnight. One of our daughter's friends had seen him at 2:00 p.m. and through various people texting each other he got a message to call home. Honestly! My poor DH was imagining all sorts of things. He is juvenile diabetic. Why oh why can't these kids grow up like we did? Jeez. Okay, thanks for listening. Sorry if that's TMI. Just wanted to get that off my chest. We have a couple inches of snow this a.m. Looks pretty. My storm door on north side is totally frozen shut this am -- use that to let our baby (dog) outside. Will have to get the deicer spray out. Laura K, for some reason I thought you were in Missouri, not Michigan -- but we still might manage a visit - Meredith is in Michigan also. Excited about the Florida trip. Can't wait. Thanks again apples for taking care of everything -- you are the greatest! Janet, good going on that wrapping job. Julie, you'll be fine, but remember, you're welcome to fly to Des Moines and fly with me also. Eva, how did you get a FREE curio cabinet? Sounds great. Meredith, wreath sounds interesting be sure to post pics when you're done. Laura, keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Cheri, my DS is much like your DH -- and my DIL learned that at the beginning of their marraige -LOL -- it was the ONLY time they ever fought was when he tried to remodel their bathroom - what a disaster -- he is great at everything EXCEPT repairing anything around the house -- not a handyman -- but then again, he was raised by me and had no dad to teach him anything like that, so it's no wonder. Glad you are making the trip to Florida. Anxious to meet you and everyone else. Gotta run. CBL. Linda

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
phyllser replied to IndioGirl55's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Okay, Karla..... here's a tidbit for you...... Earl had to spend HOURS fixing the bed yesterday! HAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA :w00t::lol::lol::eek: The sleep number bed sprung a leak and my side went almost flat! Actually.....I've been telling Earl for WEEKS that something was wrong. Controller is on HIS side (of course, the control freak). So he sets it on 55 for me at night and by morning it's feeling a whole lot softer than that. Now... this is again TMI, and I haven't even had a DROP of wine... but for "certain occasions" he sets both sides on 100. So, he noticed the other night that i was right and it was definitely leaking. So he took it all apart yesterday. In the process, one cord dropped down in t a hole and then he REALLY had to take it all apart. But, he tightened up all the hoses and connections and now it stopped leaking! Now you all know a LOT more than you need to! TOPS weigh in..... after my birthday AND Thanksgiving, AND the 17 lb turkey that Earl bought AFTER that, I was down .8 lb!! I was VERY happy! I didn't deny myself anything, just had small portions! And still lost! If I'd eaten like we normally do, however, it probably would have been one of those -5 lb weeks! Since I know we're having wine and decadent desert at Janet's, I parked my scooter at the clubhouse after water aerobics and walked to the office and back to get the mail! It was either that or ride the bike. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow. -
Finally Onderland and 2 1/2 month update!!!!
shanda7182 replied to shanda7182's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks everyone! I am so flipping excited, I couldnt believe my eyes this morning when I hopped on the scale! I am confident that I will never see the 200s again, in life! My first major goal was reached on today! Cant believe it. My second major goal is to get to 190 lbs by New Years Eve! I know it doesnt sound that difficult but trust me, my body does what it wants to do from time to time. LOL And as women we have to consider our monthly cycles because I tend to gain about 3-4 lbs during that time. (Sorry men, that was a TMI). Let's have a cyber party for ONDERLAND! Woo-Hoo! But we will not be eating any cake only protein bars and protein shakes! lol :lol0: P.S. Rene, im so happy that you have your sleeve date- Keep me updated on what hospital you will be in. I would love to come by and give you some support-since we are in the same town. It always help when you have support! -
oh yes...that was it!... TMI but my ex used to say he wished I had a boob on my back for when we did "it" doggy style. I did mention that he's my ex....right??? ha!

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
allielee replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Good Morning! mimi- they don't carry DD's with no underwire :tongue2: I heard to try Walmart. Heading there today for a bit. Shalee- I hope they end up being the same lol. I am too pretty scared about the thigh lift but I can't imagine it being worse than what I just went through and believe me I will be buying the pain pump for that too. I hear ya about the money but the thigh lift is only 6 grand, what 6 grand more when I spent almost 19 lol. You only live once. Tlam- Congrats on your TT. I agree it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.. could have been the pain pump though lol. My doc says I need to wear the compression garment for three weeks post surgery. I am sure I will continue to wear it even after. It really makes me feel safer lol. When it is off I am afraid my guts will spill out. I can hardly wait to not wear it at night though. Mine goes from bottom of breast to knees. I don't think that is the normal compression garment but since I had lipo of the thighs I had to have the whole thing. there is a cut out for the crotch. Ok so my hubby and I have been experimenting since a couple of days ago. No "intercourse" but jeez ok how do I say this politely.. the "O" was gahhhh amazing! The only thing is my tummy muscles started spasming like crazy. Thank God I was still wearing my garment. He can't keep his hands off of me lol. Ok sorry if that was TMI.. I just know some were wondering when intimacy can begin.. you just have to be creative. I know I'm in trouble tomorrow though. All he keeps saying is THURSDAY your drains come out.. with wiggly eyebrows. lol.. I'm excited and nervous. We will be extremely careful but I can hardly wait hahahaha. -
I was thinking about doing white choc - but maybe not cuz I love white choc :0) No one took offense gf - but you are right about too much can be harmful to your heart.. If it's slight I would ask the doc how much you should be taking and tell them about the tmi :0)... Snailmail and email too :0)

Well, I leave tomorrow for San Diego and yesterday I came home sick from work with intense nausea. I work in a pre school and two of the children had the stomach bug so... I went home and spent the day in bed, so close to vomiting. Nothing worse and I thought am I ready to do this drastic surgery and will I feel the same way post op. Today much better but have the (tmi) issues the other end. Surgery not until friday and feel I should be ready. All you "losers" please keep us in your prayers! Good luck all you December sleevers!

On Thanksgiving, when I got on the scale, I was half-pound short of my 50 lb goal. I was thrilled. On Thanksgiving, I ate a LITTLE of everything. Took a 15 minute break over the main course to PB from the turkey. TMI. Fortunately, I sent the leftover dessert home with a friend, but have been eating leftover ever since, and have had turkey a couple of times since, with disastrous results each time. Tonight I spent over 1.5 hrs sliming. The dogs enjoyed the rest of the turkey. I learned my lesson. I put on 3.5 lbs since Thanksgiving. Hoping its Water weight, and plan to start exercising again tomorrow to get it off quick.

Any November 2009 Bandsters??
Soexcited replied to 120inside's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yaya, I beat the hunger / or wanting food by eating popsicles. I got some Bryers sugar free today and they are awesome....I have had like 5 of them today. Right now I just want to eat because its looking and smelling good, but the popcocle fills me up and the cold is good fpr the stiches. I had a hiatal hernia repar as well so have a few extra stices to take care of. I am now 3 days post op and my biggest problem is the gas in my bowls, TMI sorry but I have such bad gas and diareah its horrrible. The gas pain in my shoulders is better but I still can not take a deep breath without it hurting. I am looking forward to my shake tomorrow morning. -
Sorry I did not give more info. I do appreciate the responses so far. Essentially, I have been having severe heartburn for about three days and feeling nauseous. I've been taking Zantac to help with the heartburn. I've also been coughing a lot from the acid reflux (feels like liquid coming up in my throat suddenly). Finally, and sorry if this is TMI, but my stools have been orange in color. Something is not right. I'm going to go to the doctor I see for a barium swallow and x-ray but I have to wait a week to do that since she only does them on certain days. Again, I had my surgery in Mexico - it was a year ago - and I went to a great doctor. If my band slipped, it is my fault because I've been bad lately eating around the band and vomiting. I know I will have to have the band repositioned or replaced if the band has slipped, but my question is - if the band has slipped, is this an emergency situation? Do I need to go to the ER? And for those who've had this happen, did insurance cover removal of the band if you went out of the country to have your band put in?

Why do women have anal sex?
czarina replied to Oregondaisy's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
ok so i know this couple who strictly do it anally.. she is about the double penetration... likes somethin in the butt and in her triangle.. hehe. they talk about it all the time and are soo crazy about it.. as for me.. i have dipped in that pool a few times wit different guys and all i can say is the only time i liked it was wen i was drunk... and besides i would rather have my man and his toungue doing "other" things with his time.. as of the size thing.... u can never tell how big a guys junk is by looki8ng at the person. i have been wit a skinny white boy that surprised the hell out of me.. and then i was with this black guy who was .. but to me size really doesnt matter its the motion of the ocean. some guys are big for nothing and those average men put them to shame... n e ways hope that wasnt tmi for everyone.. i really held back a lot of details tryin to keep it from going to far... hehe.. by the way this is the most entertaining thread i have ran across yet!! -
Oh yeah -In and Out burgers are GREAT -- and they have them all over the place here in LV - including one less than 2 miles from the house ... only thing with In & Out (TMI here) is that they give me (and Bearded too) HORRIBLE gas ... not sure if it's the burger or the fries ... haven't eaten there since surgery.
