I was wearing size 18 women's jeans before surgery. I easily wore size 14 jeans today!! I decided to try them on cause my others were getting too loose to wear, fully expecting them not to button. Excited!! Haven't been able to wear them in several years.

What surgery did you have? VSG When did you have surgery? Aug 11 How much weight loss? 30lbs on pre-op diet. Favorite Protein food? Still on Clear liquids ???????? Hardest food to eat? Takes a long time to get my liquids down . Biggest NSV (non-scale victory) so far? My knees already feel better. One interesting fact about yourself? I have a full time job.. Work two part time jobs, and volunteer with FUMC youth on Wednesday nights. -
I started a ticker for the 600 Minute March! I also added NSV goals to my siggy. Things are going well, I suppose. Could be better, so I'm joining Curves tomorrow. I'm just not losing the weight so I need more structure in my exercise regimen. I have decent restriction only part of the time after my first fill. My 2nd fill is coming up March 19th and it just cannot come soon enough! How's everybody else doing?

Bending down in the shower to shave my legs without the big belly in the way and being able to complete the job without coming up every few seconds.

"funnier sex". I am getting a vision - big long shoes - red ball noses.... Hey - it's funny to me. Thanks for the chuckle, Julie. After a mere 40 pounds - Knee Pain is all but gone and general well being is much improved. Seatbelt extenders only required depending on the type of plane. I can find more than 1 item of clothing that fits on any given shopping excursion and I can fit into all my clothes again. People are noticing me more and noticing my weight loss Future NSV Goals: no more seatbelt extender on any plane frilly girl matching undies size 12-14 get hit on in a bar. (yeah - I know - I am happily married - but it's a vanity thing. I would turn him down, very sweetly.) Not having to worry about killing the hydraulics in my office chair. Not being the fattest person in any room. I know there are thousands more - but these are what come to mind right now.

first, a quick background... my dh is not supportive of this at all. he has never been one to acknowledge any weight i may have lost or any of that sort of thing. that said... this morning, he actually told me i was getting skinnier! holy crap, i about died. seriously. i pretended like i didnt hear him and said, what? and he repeated it. and i had a second round of heart failure. :faint: it has just totally made my day and i had to share.

I went into Victoria's Secret today on a whim and got measured for a bra and I was a 38 DD. Do you know what that means??? They sell bras in my size now! So, I promptly spent $134 on new bras and undies!!! LOL. Hope my husband likes them enough to not pay attention to the price tag. LOL I decided that when I get to goal, I'm going to LaPerla to really splurge.

I normally don't take baths because my hips touch both sides and the water from my hips to head gets cold unless I pull my body out of the water now & then. Anyway, I poured a bath for my little one not knowing she was already clean, so I got in instead. Guess what? There was a good 3-4 inches between each hip and the sides. I could see over half a foot of space with my body against one side. Needless to say, I stayed in the bath until we ran out of hot water. Holla!

Love this post! I, too, teach, but I teach college-aged kids. When one of them told me my clothes were too baggy this week, I decided to go buy some new black pants. The old ones were size 22--and too tight before surgery. The ones I bought Thursday were size 16. I haven't worn a size 16 for more than 10 years. The kicker is that I went ahead and bought only one pair because they were comfortable, not snug, so I know I won't be wearing them for long! Love to hear everyone's NSVs! -
I just done the math and if I live another 50 years I'll save $240,000 on food and beverage since having the LapBand. That's enough to put all my kids through college and still buy a new Cadillac!!!! I had a soda habit that would make fat bastard jealous. I usually ate out twice a day. Wow, that really adds up! Hot Stock Alert: If you own any shares of Pepsi-Cola you better dump it fast!!!

Ok so i recently went to victoria secret , i wanted to see if the clothing would fit me. I go in and pick out cute sweatpants in a size Large, the sales girl looks at me and says " these sweatpants are boyfriend cut , meaning they run a little big, you should get a medium" , i look at her in utter shock! Could you imagine, she thought i should get a smaller size?! In December i was a size 24 or 2xl..... Now a large!!! Unreal..... ( my surgery was 10/3/12)

A little background. I live in NYC and take mass transit everywhere as I don't own a car. So..some of my NSVs surround train and bus seats. Today, it was the metal benches at some of the stops on the PATH trains that run between NY and NJ. I used to sit on the bench and put my workbag down on the seat next to me rather than on the floor. I'd move it of course if someone wanted to sit. Well now I realize I can fit both myself and my bag in the same space. I don't have to worry about moving it if someone wants the seat. I know it's a silly kind of NSV but it's one none the less and it's nice to be reminded even if the scale is pretty stable, that you can still have these nice moments. Have a great Friday everyone. We're expecting a terrific weekend here in the Big Apple....sunny blue skies and warm temps. What more can you ask for? I think it's finally time to pull out the capri slacks I bought in Florida...lol.- 8 replies

actually, I haven't met most of the NSVs I thought I would. That said, the diffent NSVs I have had blow my mind. In March when I flew home for my surgery, I had to have a belt extender. This week when I flew home from Vegas I actualy needed to tighten the belt. HOLY SH*T! I mean HOLY SH*T!!!!! I just crossed my legs! Okay, Corinne! This was one of the things on my NSV to-do list!!!!!
