I am 3 weeks post surgery, feel great in the morning. I was wondering how long it takes to be able to go to all day. I hit a wall between 3-4 everyday and I haven't been able to go back to my evening activities. i come home from work and just want rest. I use to be a night owl and am feeling frustrated with myself.

Dr.s office called and rescheduled my 6 month check up. it is about 3 weeks earlier than I expected. I really wanted to be under 200 by then. With my weight loss slowing down, I may not make it. But on the bright side...I haven't been this light for years! It will be great to lose through the holidays for the first time EVER!!

After a full week of not exercising and going directly to bed after work because of extreme back pain, I finally was able to get back on my bike this morning. It was so great to be outside in this beautiful Indian summer weather. I just love October. And although I am more tired than I usually am after a 5 mile ride, my back pain level only increased a little from the ride. Woo-hoo! I'm back in business.

Non scale victories! Loose clothing/buying new smaller clothes, being able to cross legs or not having to use handicapped bathroom stall to be able to manure wiping, not being winded walking up stairs, people being able to put their arms around you all the way...etc. Noticing these things or keeping them in mind really helped me when the scale wouldn't budge during my first stall

Starting gratitude list now: just over 2 weeks post op and already blood pressure is consistently normal without meds! Before surgery ON meds I was lucky to get a 140/95. Now I'm 117/78.

I guess it's been a little while since I've posted. I'm now 9 weeks post op I'm doing great over all. I'm finding that the only meat I really like is chicken all other meats don't go down well and taste very different to me. So I mainly eat veggies... I hope you all have had a great month and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!
