    Weight loss week 2

    [Gurl=][/url]
  2. I’m looking for someone who is further out than I am who can tell me how to enjoy food again. At each sitting I can only get less than 2 ounces down and that’s only protein. Once I eat the protein there’s no room for anything else. I haven’t eaten any veggies yet because I’m only getting between 20-30 g of protein in per day. Water is nauseating to me but I push hard to get it in but again, I’m nowhere near the 64 ounces that is required. Forget protein shakes! Since surgery I cannot tolerate them at all! I’m just wondering if this will get better with more time?
  3. Hi so not so sure if I’m doing my stages diets wrong or not, But I had my vsg surgery 8/2/21. my question is, I’m able to drink a lot of water/ vitamin water zero/diet drinks And don’t really have an issue. Is that bad or good? Also I feel like I’m able to eat more than I thought i should be able to. I’m worried that I’ll rip my stomach open or something. I have also been able to jog/ walk everyday, I was thinking that could be a reason for me being able to drink water easier? Also to be totally honest I had low fat ice cream when I hit onederland as a celebration.
  4. Can I take vitamin C 4 weeks post Gastric Sleeve? If so what would be the best to take?

  5. I am less than a week away from my VSG (8/31) and I am so worried that the Governor of NJ is going to force some sort of elective surgery shutdown like he did last year. I have gone through a lot over the past few months and it is so close now. Anyone else going through this?
  6. Hello all, My name is Jen. This is my first post and I hope to find some support within this community. I had my gastric sleeve procedure in July 2017 at 22 years old. I was 310 pounds before the two-week fast and was 291 pounds at the time of the surgery. After the surgery, I lost weight rapidly, I was down to 225 pounds by December of that same year. But then my weight loss decreased and for the past 2.5 years, I've been stuck at an average weight of 215 pounds. Since COVID started, I have actually gained weight and am now 235 lbs (not being able to go to the gym has sucked). At one point nearly 2 years after my surgery I had even gotten to 196 lbs, which was a 100-pound weight loss. I want to lose another 100 pounds to meet my goal weight range of 135-140 lbs, which would be a healthy weight for my height and build. But I need help. I have other factors that are making weight loss more difficult. I have PCOS which naturally makes weight loss difficult. I use birth control pills to help regulate the hormones that are affected by PCOS. I also have had bone and joint problems since I was a child. I've been trying to focus on my diet, but I must admit I have a giant sweet tooth and I am a picky eater. Pizza and candy are my banes. I'm also a graduate student who is under a ton of stress and has very limited personal time. This makes exercising and preparing meals difficult. Despite these complications, I don't eat out at all, nor do I order take-in. I have a treadmill that I walk or jog on for at least an hour each day, and I attend Zumba twice a weak (I'm not very good at it haha). I am not diabetic or pre-diabetic but I do have asthma. So, is anyone else in a similar situation that would like to build a little group? I've never had any weight loss support and I am hoping that by building a group, I can find more motivation and encouragement as I lose 100 more pounds. TLDR: 4 years since VSG surgery and I'm still not at goal weight, keep stalling or gaining weight. Need friends in similar situations for support, guidance, motivation, and encouragement.
  7. Hey you guuuys, I started my 2 week milk plan thursday morning and for the past 2 days my heads been pounding and i feel empty and sick, i have just eaten some prawns hoping this will help. Does anyone have any advice? Will the prawns be ok🤔🤔🤔 i looked it up and they looked like my best option. please help lol
  8. I'm several years post surgery, it was in November of 2016 (wow). SUddenly the last coupe of weeks, my torso/stomach area have just felt odd. I'll feel twinges in my back, or in the front, and my stomach is just...laying weirdly? I'ts hard for me to define what I'm talking about, but maybe somebody has some experience. I lost over 130 pounds following the surgery to get down to around 270, and I've put a little bit back on in the last year and a half or so to where I'm hovering between 292 and 300. Any tips? My GP said it's nothing to worry about, just with rerouting the system thre will be oddities. I'm not in pain, but it just feels odd and uncomfortable. I shouldn't say I'm NOT in pain, I have back pain the last 5-6 months or so, predating the belly issues
  9. Y'all I am stalled! I had surgery July 26th. 24 days PO and I have been stalled since about Sunday the 8th of Aug. What can I do to get past this? It is driving me insane!!! I almost at 2 weeks of no change.

  11. Hi! I would love some help from everyone I am 10 weeks post op and 1 day. I am only down 22 lbs from surgery and 31 lbs down in all. I see other people story and they are losing way more than that. Here is my breakdown I eat shrimp, chicken and lots of veggies my snack (if I can eat one) is a the skinny pop one bag I do weight lifting at the gym 5 times a week not a lot of cardio I am 5’4 and I’m 25 so I’m not understanding why my weight loss is so slow. 12. I know that my surgery was 10 days ago but I'm so ready to get on with everything. I'm not the type of person that has a lot of down time. I travel for work and I'm feeling a little blue lately because I want my old life back. How can I kick this? Sent from my SM-A426U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Hello guys. I had a concern regarding my sleeve. It is weird but I am 10 days post op and can eat bigger amount of food than what I see on internet. If I try it is possible and no vomiting for example I can finish 4 boiled eggs or a cup of ice cream. Did it happen to somebody? I am a bit worried that maybe my stomach is still big. Thanks Sent from my SM-G973W using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. Work is still stressful and I'm on sick leave for this week because of acute laryngitis (corona tested negative twice). 😷

    I'm surprised that I still get reactions for posts sometimes, even though some of them are quite old now.

    Anyway, hoping people are ok!

    First stall

  17. So I have been vomiting blood! I called Dr office and left message with answering service. They called me back and it was a dr I didn't know standing in for my dr. She suggested prilosec bc it could be an ulcer. When I called I had only thrown up once today with blood. Well now I've thrown up since I've been home about 4x and all have deep red color still. She said something about basically resting the rest of the wknd taking it easy on foods and that shed let my dr know what was going on and that I may need an endoscopy. My daughter just got home from buying the prilocec for me and I am Literally scared to try to swallow it. I barely even ate anything at the restaurant too and didn't even get a sip outta my water....I am so upset. I had to run out and threw up in my car! Not the way I wanted to start the wknd! Ughhh! I am like an hour away from their emergency room too idk if I should go or not since I have thrown up since talking to her. Any suggestions? Sent from my SM-G981U using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. Hello. It’s been a while since I posted here but I have been busy figuring out how to get past a months long stall and some sugar addiction. First, I found out that I have lipedema which is a connective tissue disorder. It’s an abnormal collection of fat that is no longer in it’s original spongy condition. It is literally scar tissue and adhesions under the skin that do not let go of fat easily. I have huge amounts of it on the lower body and some on my arms. The change that worked for me was specific exercises using a vibration plate on the fat deposits and other mechanisms that can be found on the internet. Second, I ended up switching to healthy keto and that made a great difference in the movement of the scale. I’m down a few pounds now and I no longer have the sugar cravings. I also have gotten better about setting limits on other people monopolizing my time. I’m prioritizing myself and it is really starting to show. I’d be happy to share more if anyone is interested in the connection between stalled weight loss after Bariatric surgery and the condition known as lipedema. It’s not a broadly known condition but it is starting to get attention. I can share some of the resources that I have used in the past few months. 19. How much were you consuming 1 week post op during full liquids phase? I can only get about 40oz of fluids including a 30 gram protein shake. I don’t think this is enough. I’m starting to think this is why I’ve been feeling ill

  21. 13 weeks post sleeve to bypass and have been stalled with weight loss...haven't lost for three weeks. I can't find anything that addresses this type of stall, so here I am! I've lost 35 since revision and was hoping to lose a little more. Having my three-month check up on Tuesday...thanks!
  22. I’m 6 days post op and because we are supposed to refrain from sex for awhile, instead of waiting to do it traditionally with my husband…we just played around and I masturbated. Usually within a few minutes I can reach an orgasm, but IT DID NOT HAPPEN. We even tried two days in a row…NOTHING. I’m hoping it’s just because I’m still sore and my body is adjusting to coming off the pain meds and not eating as much etc. I’m still aroused, but cannot orgasm. Has anyone experienced this? I hope the feeling of not being hungry isn’t connected to not being able to orgasm.
