You know why I want to go to the state fair today? Even though it looks like rain? It's because I want to log in some miles on my fitbit, and because I'm so dang antsy I can't sit still and it's driving my family crazy. Used to be, I went for the funnel cakes and the tornado taters. Oh how life has changed! Also because I can. Two years ago, I almost died due to a misdiagnosis, last year I was still getting enough strength back and I had awful knee pain. This year, I feel good about being able to walk around comfortably even though I did 7 miles on my bike this morning. So I'm doing it while I can and I will enjoy the heck out of it, because I have no idea what next year will bring. I just feel so happy that I had to share thanks for reading. Ways your new NSV this week? What made you happy?

Best advice I can give it just breath! And don't focus some hon the pounds that you loose as opposed to all the NSV's that you have and inches lost. -

great NSV !!! -
I love to shop and can't resist a good sale. Well for years I have been buying clothes that I will fit in one day because it is such a good deal or I jus t loved them so much I had to buy them. Yes I know I have a shopping addiction. We can discuss my shopping issue at a later date lol. Anyway I am beaming from ear to ear because I just took 6 pairs of pants that I said I would fit in one day to the tailor to be fixed because they are to long and the day to wear them is now okay next saturday when I go back to tailor to get them. I am so excited I want to take a ad out int he new york times. My hard work with an amazing tool is finally paying off. Next week I drop off a 45 gallon contractor size garbage bag full of clothes to a friend since I missed the clothing exchange at NYU. I can't even lift the dam bag. Eating clean working out and this band has made a huge positive difference in my life. Yes I still have 95 pounds but i already lost 1/3 of the 150 i started out to lose. This forum is so helpful and is the only pace besides the drs office my weight is public knowledge. Not even my sister or best friend know how much I weigh!! Anywa back to my happy weight be gone new clothes dance....

Any other September 2013 bandsters?

I am not sure I am eating enough. For Breakfast I had an 11 oz Muscle Milk that I sipped all morning. Then at lunch I had half a greek yogurt. After school snack was another Protein shake, and at around 5pm I had an egg in chicken broth. Now I'm sucking on a pouch of apple sauce, but I'm starving even though I'm sure my banded pouch is probably full now at 7pm. Oh, and I had a bottle of Water thru the day. Is this enough? I am feeling very confused about how much/when to eat. By the end of the night I will probably do one more Protein Shake to get to my 60-80 goal. I'm not allowed stage 3 (canned fruit/veg, cottage cheese, etc.) til the end of this weekend. NSV today--I went out in search of new clothes, pants and undies specifically. At my heaviest I was in a 26, but today I picked out 22s. The sales lady said, "Oh no honey, you need something smaller" and handed me an 18-20. OMG IT FIT!! Holy cow!!! I can't wait til I reach my goal of buying clothes in a "real" store. Which store should I try first when it happens? I'm hoping that I can Celebrate my 40th birthday in January by buying something from a "real" store instead of Lane Bryant or Avenue. -
Weight loss challenge - should i do it?

Go for it. I think it could be a very satisfying thing to have under your belt. A significant NSV. -
I can totally relate to that! I went out to eat awhile back and had to ask for a table because I couldn't fit in the booth. It was so embarrassing! All of the other customers just stared at me and I heard some laugh. I wanted to crawl under that table & disappear! I still have some issues with booths, I'm always afraid I won't fit even though I do now. That is an awesome NSV!!
-
Last night I had dinner at a restaurant that 1 year ago I couldn't fit in the booth. It is a great NSV!! Good for us and everyone else who now fits
-
Wonderful NSV. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the interview!

I found this to be very private and hard to talk about, did not even tell my Dr. I am 7 weeks post op 45 pounds down and I no longer have that issue. Very happy....NSV I guess

I've made the first cut for a new position and the hiring committee is conducting interviews over the next two days. Because I'm currently overseas, I was offered two choices for the interview: conference call or Skype session. Six months ago I'd have opted for the no-visual conference call, thinking it would up my chances of being selected if they couldn't see how overweight I was and just go by my professional qualifications. But this time? I jumped on the chance to have the on-camera interview. Got my hair done, put on a great suit and jewelry, and feel confident that where I am weightwise will not dissuade the committee from pushing my candidacy forward. NSV! Even if I don't make the next round, or if I decide the job/move isn't a good fit for me and my family, I've already won this one by turning on that camera.

I work in a 10 story building with several different businesses on each floor. Today as I boarded the elevator to go up to the 9th floor a lady who I have never met (who works on the 2nd floor) said, "You have lost a lot of weight! Keep up the good work!" My coworker gave me a high five and I did a little victory dance the rest of the elevator ride. Great motivation going into the 10th month of this journey.

That is a great NSV. Good for you.

Good news is I'm down 70 pounds! Weird NSV is that now sometimes when I sit on the toilet I feel like I'm going to fall in! I don't have as much rump to cover the toilet seat anymore. :-)

I have 1.5 cc in a 4 cc band any more than that any I am to tight. I Love ice cream shakes but it would not mater how tight the band was ice cream and chocolate will always slide down for me. So just because I love them does not mean I can have them every day. Fortunately for me I make more good choices than Bad choices and I concentrate on The NSV's.

Hahaha! I suppose you can count it as an NSV! I don't know if I would! I had a hysterectomy a few years ago and do NOT miss having a period at all, but I can understand how if you haven't been regular for years how it could be exciting
-
I am going to consider this a NSV. I think I am actually on a regular schedule for my period! It has been probably 15 years since I have been any sort of regular. Going on three months now, and on schedule. Don't know why I am so excited lol I guess the whole waiting game of having it every few months before is gone.

NSV- size L gym pants!! My weight has not changed in 5-7 months but I like smaller sizes. Tops are still XL, have a muffin top still.

For as long as I can remember I have loved the skinny jeans and knee high boots look. This weekend I finally found a decent pair of skinny jeans and today I wore my knee high boots with them. I was so excited to be able to pull this look off!!
