Blender Bottles are nice...did anyone mention that yet? I didn't read all the answers. Also, unflavored GENEPRO has 30 grams of Protein, is about a tablespoon per dose, and is totally Water soluble, kind of like Benefiber, only it's all protein.

Genepro and whey intolerance/non whey protein recommendation
kaRmakat posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had some mild diarrhea and GI distress in my pre-op diet including whey protein, but street surgery the whey protein and whey protein isolate absolutely killed me; super painful diarrhea. I started using plant based and I feel much better. My questions are, one, can anyone recommend a whey alternative that isn’t gross? Two, is there anyone who can tolerate Genepro but not other whey protein? I’ve heard so many people rave about the Genepro in terms of taste, digestion and how readily it dissolves but I don’t want to buy it if it’s just going to make me sick! -
Are you allowed other liquids? I have been doing 2-3 shakes and mixing GENEPRO in broth at dinner. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

3 Days out!
becomingmandikaye replied to sunshine 75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Premier Protein RTD shakes - they have 5.5g of protein per ounce. Isopure RTD has 4g of protein per ounce. I have also started mixing GENEPRO into broth and strained Soup - I end up with 30g of protein in 8 oz of soup, which I can drink in less than an hour. -

Best Protein Powder Post Op
crazyplantlady replied to awillaweigh328's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
genepro!! mix it into everything -
I'm 5 weeks out and I still use Genepro protein powder at least once a day. It's a tiny scoop of flavorless, fully dissolvable protein. I put it in water and mix it with some crystal light drops. One scoop is 30g. I will also mix it into other recipes (you can bake with it up to 400 degrees). So when I make ricotta bites I add a scoop or two. It helps just boost all the things I eat with extra protein.

I am a couple weeks further along than you. I eat pretty much what I want (as low fat as possible) Two weeks ago I was in a terrible stall. It was my third one but this lasted over a week. I eat what I want. I had to add a protein powder back into my diet. I got sick on a grilled piece of chicken and just can't seem to eat solid meats tonight I had about 1/2 of a tamale with 2 tlb spoon beanless chilli and 1 tlb spoon fat free sour cream. Lunch was 1 baked salmon patty with ketchup, breakfast a 80 calorie light and fit yogurt with 1 tlb spoon genepro protein powder.

Brazos2425 are they the refried Beans that are already mashed up? Also shredded cheese? What is GENEPRO and where can I get it? -
I just ordered the GENEPRO GEN2 Protein Powder..............supposedly it's tasteless, odorless and you only need 1 tbls to equal 30 grams of protein. Several members on this forum use it and say it works really well in yogurt, soups, oatmeal. I can't tolerate the shakes either........they literally make me gag. Gonna try this GenePro GEN2 and see if it solves my problem......I'll let you know. I'm a huge Amazon Prime user but according to reviews I won't order GenePro from them. Many complaints that it isn't the same as the GenePro you order from the manufacturer or from GNC. Worth a couple of extra dollars if I can meet my protein requirements.

Poll: Best Ways to Sneak in Protein Early on
junesleever posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm in the purée stages and wondered how do u get most of ur protein in? Tonite I'm trying 1 scoop of genepro in 1 c fairlife chocolate milk for 43 G protein. What do u do? Thx! -
It seems like everyone keeps raving about genepro protein. I personally like the Premier protein chocolate shakes cause they are already made.

When you calculate how much unflavored whey power you'd need to make your own, this is cheaper. ISOPURE Zero scoops have 25g protein per scoop. Genepro has 20g per scoop. Just the protein powder costs more than case of GELATEIN20. I am using mostly during my clear fluid stage where it is hard to drink enough water protein drinks. You know I stumbled across Genepro when I was researching all the different proteins to try but it seemed kind of sketchy. Has your doctor or NUT approved it?

Try adding something like GENEPRO Protein powder to things. They say it has no taste. You shouldn't even know it's in your food or drink. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G750A using the BariatricPal App

Every morning I have a cup of coffee with GENEPRO unflavored Protein in it. It mixes in with hot or cold beverages just fine. I get it from Amazon. 30 grams of protein and it's affordable. ~LA
