Proud grammy, I just had the exact same thing happen to me just this morning ! Weird !!! Another person parked their car too close to mine at the Y, I had to move my mirror in to get to my door. I slid right through this small space like it was nothing ! I got a swim workout AND a NSV , not a bad way to start my day !! Woot! Woot !! -

I love reading these!!! My recent NSV's are: my son being amazed that my legs are "straight"! He actually was checking out my legs the other day and said "Mom, your legs look so great, you used to have bumps, but look how straight they are!" LoL! I also had to buy new dress shoes and tennis shoes because my feet aren't as fat anymore! I've put about 3 pair of slacks and several tops in the Goodwill pile...YAY!!! And I'm wearing clothes that I haven't worn for years! The best one yet though, my girlfriend's husband called me "Slim" the other day! This is soooo fun!!! -

Hey Everyone, I got a coupon in the mail for the Avenue store. If I buy 75 dollars worth of stuff, I get 30 dollars off my purchase. So I went there yesterday because I need a new coat for the winter and I figured that would eat up the dollars. I also dont own a sweater, need pants etc. Truthfully, I dont have anything for that matter and I have been too cheap to buy clothes. I tried on a 14-16 coat. It was a little too big, but I figured if I put on heavy sweaters underneath it would be fine. It was the smallest size in the store, so it wasnt like I had a choice anyway except to leave. I know that this will be the last year I will be able to wear it, but it was cheap and cute. At least I will be able to wear it between here and goal next year. I tried on shirts that were size 14. They were all too big and falling off my shoulders. I picked up a pair of size 14 pants. Holy cow, they fit!!!! This is the first size 14 I own since 1983 for pants since I am bottom heavy. So it seems like I am officially out of plus size stores!!!!!! On top, I went from a size 26 to a woman;s large or size 12, and on the bottom I have gone from size 28 and I am now a 14 (Gasp!) and sometimes 16. It was clear that some of the women that worked there thought I was nuts jumping around both in the dressing room and at the cash register. I still cant believe that I have gotten this far. No more AVENUE OR LANE BRYANT ever again. This was my last trip there and I am so excited that I never have to go there again! Babs in TX 334/191/170 -143

That's fabulous! I too am a scalaholic.(Confession time) I will try also to only get on the scales on Monday morning as I belong to the holiday challenge and need to record my weight for the week. I think you belong to it as well. Anyway, I do think that's a major NSV!!!! It's certainly a huge accomplishment and means you're on well on your way to 'skinnydom". I wish you the best and hope I can follow your example!!! You go girl!!!! Cindy

My only set back is Starbucks. It is difficult for me to get fast food down. Congrats on a great NSV.

Leatha_G - Super Good Job! I know that's a HUGE NSV. I've been thinking about doing that for 2 years now and haven't drummed up enough courage to put on that bathing suit and go exercise in front of other people! Great job! Congrats.... Kim

I have been in Nashville shopping since yesterday for pants mostly. I went to Opry Mills, Rivergate, and 2 others, Macy's, Goody's, Penney's, Sears, you name it, all stretch jeans. Maybe I'm out of style but I don't like them. So, of all places I go to a Walmart and find Lee Riders, low rise jeans that aren't strectch. Now this may not be a huge NSV for some but I was in 24 jeans in July. I bought a pair of Regular 18's, not strectchy and not plus and a pair of 16's because I had lots of room in the 18's. I was so thrilled I let out a yep right there in the dressing room. Yahhhh, yahhhh. I'm so thrilled.

Several years back i had to get another wedding band because my original one from 34 yrs ago was too small. Well now the bigger one along with my other ring is starting to slide off. Thought I'd try my old band knowing it won't fit yet and omgosh it slid right on. So now I wearing my original wedding band again. oh what a feeling!!!

Ladies..... I have a funny NSV to share with you, it's one that only "we" would appreciate. I was in town earlier today and as usual, traffic was heavy on this main road. As I waited for the light to change further down the street (so that I could cross mid-block) a guy in an SUV stopped traffic to let me cross the street!! Let me tell you, this would never have happened 55 lbs. ago!! I felt pretty darn good as I strutted across the street in my black boot leg jeans, and short black leather jacket! LOL Roberta -

Wooo hoooo Amanda!! That is awesome!! You're a tough cookie, girl. I'm so impressed with how you have bounced back after a rough start to things. Keep up the good work:thumbup::thumbup: I'm trying so hard not to weigh myself everyday. I don't want the scale to dictate my success but losing 20lbs in 3 weeks makes it hard to not want to see the numbers everyday. I think NSV's are a much healthier measure of success!! Keep it up Double V's and again...CONGRATS Amanda!!

Amy, I love the name change! And congratz on your NSV!:thumbup: I'll have to keep that term in mind, it's new to me, I'll start looking for my own "NSV's". Now, I know there's a ton more benefits to weight loss than seeing the scale move, but I just love putting the title on it! Then I can stop and enjoy my NSV moments, like you just did :crying: I think today I had something of an "NSV" . . . it wasn't lower weight, but it was diet related. I went and got my hair cut, and all over the salon were open boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, and chocolate kisses. Now, I was a (maybe still am?) "choco-holic", but when I was offered a cookie or a chocolate kiss, I felt **happy** to politely decline! I really didn't miss it, even under my nose like that! Ok, yes, I'm proud of myself here, lol. And more than a little surprised . . . I was worried about today, I thought I'd be drooling for any chocolate. But I'm ok with my diet . . . it's almost like, we made friends! lol :smile: Sorry, I didn't mean to hi-jack your NSV moment with my own story, Amy! I'm so glad you share. This gives me something more to look for. Congratz again!

another NSV i hate my scale it's been stuck for 5 days....i know part of it is that my diabetes has been a litttle less than predictable and i've been letting it run a little high (for safety) especially when i was obstructed. now i feel like my intake is okay and that i can get in some quick glucose if i need to....BUT TO MY NSV!!! i walk at work every day at noon...today i wore these really great velvet pants that i couldn't button the inner button on before surgery...today i put them on without un buttoning them---just slid them right on woohoo..and on my walk i had to keep hitching them up. also i grabbed a full handful of fabric on each leg and held it up a little while walking because they were rubbing together not my legs but the excess fabric was rubbing together......let's spread some joy and encouragement post those NSV amanda
