  1. hey kartman!!!!! congrats on ur success!!!!!!!! i have a question for u....my exercise routine consisted of 30 mins on the elyptical...55 mins on the rotating stairs and 30 mins on the treadmill...i have to cut my time short due to my son's homework...i can't do any weight training until my stitches are removed from my tt

  2. Congrats on getting to 220! I remember that feeling. That was my "original" goal weight but when I hit it I was like no way! It almost makes you crazy because you see yourself getting smaller and smaller and you want to take it as far as it can go and still look good. Then your friends make you sick telling you to stop. I feel you girl! Take it as far as YOU want to go! My friends are acting like i'm skin and bones telling me to stop but I'm like as long as I look good I'm gonna keep going! It feels so good to not shop on the plus size side of the stores! I'm at 187 still trying to get to 175 and dang it I'm gonna get there for ME! (and who knows...i might even wanna go to 160!)

  3. Hi Marialisa! I was just wondering how you were doing since your first fill! Do you still feel hunger? Is there a big difference? I've just completely stopped loosing weight even though I work out every day and eat well (a few minor "bads" but nothing major! It's really frustrating!

  4. No worries! haha Thanks :) Well I would trade you anyday :) I was banded on May 7 so its been about 5 mnths now..haven't lost as much weight as I thought I would, but I know I really only have myself to blame for that. I could step up the exercise for starters but with a 4.5yr old + 2yr old to look after + studying, it's a struggle to do anything! lol...

  5. Everything is going well! As long as the weight keep coming off i'm good! Lol! Week#8 & 35lbs down so far!

  6. Hey Gina, what about the Trader Joe's soups? Also, I found some soups at Albertson's that are in these little cartons with a screw off top...organic. creamy tomato, tomato/red pepper, potato leek. not too bad. but I'm like you...we're losing weight so it's worth it. I've lost 9 pounds. : )

  7. Hi, just checking to see if you have gotten over that plateu yet. I am still at a stand still. No loss, no gain either. it's frustrating. At the support meeting, I was told that I am where I am suppose to be after being banded only 8 weeks (at that time) it will be 10 weeks tomorrow hmmm. I just have to be patient. Have you experienced any other problems since banding? let me know how its going.

  8. Hi. I jus wanted to let u know u can definately see the difference of ur weight loss.

  9. My name is Megen and I am in the process of getting the LapBand. I hope to have the surgery at the end of March 2010. I am a senior at the University Of Southern Mississippi and anticipate graduating in May with bachelors in architectural engineering. From there I am going to be working towards my second bachelor?s degree in construction engineering. I would love to become a building inspector when I graduate, but my weight will make it hard for me to find a job. A major criteria of being a building inspector is being physically fit in order to properly inspect the building. I have always struggled with obesity, and I am so grateful I have a second chance.

  10. Surely that is NOT A RECENT PIC! You are BEAUTIFUL! Don't look like you have any weight to lose!

  11. Thanks for following up- you look great- I visited your blog. I have been stuck for 2 1/2 weeks with no weight loss or gain- started exercising and have actually dropped inches and not pounds- maybe because I am building muscle??? No idea- finally stayed off the scale for a week and when I weighed- low and behold I was down 4 pounds!!! Going in on 10/07/09 for a fill and looking forward to it- getting too much room again and can mow down quite a bit of food, but making better choices so I hope to keep steadily losing:tongue_smilie:- good luck and I will continue to check up on you also!

  12. well i've lost alot of inches and 13 lbs. I'm 197 now and in my 16 jeans. I was almost in a 20, so very exciting. I go back again to Dr. Roye on Oct. 16th. He wants to wait until i'm real foods to see how my weight loss is before doing a fill. So i'm fill-less.LOL. I was walking alot and been lazy(aka. workin too much) so i have a wedding this sunday and have a really cute dress that i bought. So want to just exercise so i feel better than in the dress. So how much have you lost total so far. 1-2 lbs is great. Glad your doing so well. LOVE my band too. TTYS

  13. Well my friends i have lost some weight i jumped on the scale this morning and i weigh 201! i need to break the 200!

  14. Hi I haven't been on this site for a while since school started. I am glad you are able to have your surgery before all the holiday rush! My daughter name is Lauren Pizzolla she is at SUNY Cortland as a freshman. She is very happy there. She will be home on 10/15 and has a dr. appt. on 10/16. I hope she has lost weight! Please extend your support to her and she will hopefully do the same. Thanks. I am also here for you if you need me!

  15. Well, it's October 1st and here I am at 157 lbs wearing a size 6 dress. Who would have thought it? Not me for sure. The best news, I'm still off of the insulin and other meds. My health issues have improved so much with still a little work to do. My original goal weight was 135 lbs and hopefully by the end of the year I'll get there? I can only keep working hard and trying my best.

  16. All aboard girl, I would like to join you on this journey too. I have struggled with this weight for most part of my life and It's now or never to make a change. Right now I'm at my biggest at 360lbs pre- opt. I know if I don't do something now I will be 400lbs before long. My prayers are with you. Please pray for me too.

  17. Thank you Vmack2001, for your comment on the blog. I will try to do everything the doc says because I heard if you throw up a lot your band could slip. Thats another thing I'm affraid of. Congratulations on you 38lb weight loss. I would like to be your friend.

  18. Congratulations on your surgery and subsequent weight loss. Work hard and stay dedicated.

  19. Hi Karen, congratulations on your progress with weight loss. This is my first time on this thread. I sure would like to elaborate my entries, but I have no clue.

  22. Hey thanks for checking in..it always helps to remember that you are not doing this alone! I think I am at a stall, for the past few weeks I have managed to gain and lose the same 2-3lbs but I cant get it off to stay off! I know it is my fault bc I can come up with a thousand excuses not to exercise but I really need to get back in gear! How are you doing and how much have you lost so far? Sounds like you are doing pretty good maintaining a steady weight loss....its always better than gaining! Good luck

  23. Hi there, I would love to be your friend. I had my surgery August 19. And trust me, when I say its life changing. But in a good way. I hope to loose 145lbs. my starting weight was 354. I have lost 37lbs so far. I wish you all the best and good things comes to those who wait....

  24. heyyy yea i can't believe they are sooo soon! umm i meeting with my nurtritionist tmw and see how i did....i dont think my weight really changed, but i wasnt on a liquid diet....maybe after tomorrow they are going to put me on a more hardcord thing...last time i went my weight randomly went up 15 lbs.....and my body was swollen so they were assuming it was water weight from my medicine i take for my rheumatoid arthritis...im scared they won't do the surgery if the weight didn't go back down to the number from my initial apt :( ...hows everything going with you?

  25. Just saw you hit your 15% goal. Hoopla!

Just crossed 100#, slowly, with probably 30-40# to go. Thinking of getting a PT at this point to start me on weight training, and update my body fat measurement.
