    Any January Surgery Bandsters?

I would like to lose 100lbs My Nsv would be to walk into any store and just pick an outfit that fits nicely. Also, to wear my knee high boots. I also want to just be able to play with my two boys comfortably. I have a5 year old and 1 year old
  2. What are everyones scale and nsv goals? I'll go first.... 1. Drop 30kg - primary goal and to get past 72kg which was the lowest weight I reached just over 2 years ago. 2. NSV: to be able to cross my legs sat on a plane. I travel a lot and would appreciate the feeling of not filling the space I have entirely! 3. NSV: to be able to comfortably zip up some knee high boots that aren't wide fit! 4. NsV: do 10 pull ups. I love crossfit but can't do these. They are my ultimate exercise nemisis. 5. NSV: to get rid of my lovehandles. Almost gone but with a weight drop would hope they go forever!

    Frustrated

I am on Flinstones chewable my 15yr old takes them like candy but me I dislike the taste of them, when I try taking them right away i feel nauseus just to get a little taste. Even the disolvable B6/B12 i cant tolarate the cherry taste to them anymore. I do try to stay away from my family when they r eating n they also try to eat when I am eating or after I eat so that they dont tempt me with their food n i am doing pretty good with staying strong but sometimes its just so hard on me.You could try a Bariatric Advantage chewy Vitamin or their crystal vitamins that you dissolve in fluids. There's also liquid vitamins/calcium made by Welleese. That might be easier for you. As for your B12; they also sell that in a spray or you could opt for the injection (i think its once a month) through your PCP. I don't have to she B6 so I have no suggestions for that one. Upmost, be patient and kind to yourself. This time will pass quickly and you'll be onto new stages. I will tell you I had incredible nightmares about ppl force feeding me stuff I knew I wasn't suppose to eat! I would wake in totally panic and covered on sweat. There's a lot chemically happening in your body right now and this journey is 90% psychological. You're going to get through this and love yourself for all the NSV you will achieve. Peace.

    Ouch

I have discovered that I have a bone near my kitty and that it hurts like heck during sex. It's always been covered with fat. Tonight my husband even said that it feels kinda uncomfortable and that he is concerned that if he gets to aggressive it's going to really hurt me. Lol. Guess this is kinda a dirty nsv!

  11. So, I just hit 100 pounds down today. So happy of the progress I've made. To top it all off, I made a NSV, running a whole mile, and in under 12 minutes, too. I don't think I've done that ever, even in middle school. Pictures in my gallery, yall

    July sleevers please check in..

July 30th sleever checking in. HW 292 CW 221 Down 71 lbs NSVs: - I'm [FINALLY] buying clothes in "normal" sizes! - I have collar bones! - I decided to get a shorter hair cut since I'm losing my extra chins! - I didn't worry about collapsing the table when I got a facial today! - I walked through a restaurant last night without knocking purses off of chairs and bumping into tables! Yes, I'm still obese. And yes, I still have a long way to go. But by golly...I've come a long way as well!

NSV went out shopping for a Christmas party and naturally picked up a 3x top. Wouldn't you know it, too big! 2x is fitting and not even snug. Who would have thought. 2x would make me smile! So happy to read everyone's NSVs!

LOVE all of these!!!! My NSV's are *Went from 5-6 shots a day for diabetes to 1 (ONE!!!!) *From taking 2 orals meds to 1, all for diabetes *Crossing my legs *Bending over to tie my shoes or my son's without getting red in the face or feel like I will pass out *Having my heart rate drop from the 80's to the 60's *NOT feeling like everyone was looking at me thinking how big I was every time I was in public *Buying cuter clothes *Sweating because I want to not because it just occurs naturally from doing not much of anything *Being able to sit like a kid on my couch (ie feet hiked up, knees near my chest kind of thing). Finding at least one picture that I think, 'thats not so bad' instead of any photo of myself making me sick to my stomach That is just a few!!! Can't wait to have many, many more!!!!

How was your 5:2 day today?

Hi everyone, I had gone through all the posts and clicked on multiquotes and when I went to ad them here, it didn't work and now the multiquotes I selected are all gone.... No problem, I will wing it... I love seeing everyone with a Host below their name, I was offered it and am thinking about it..... Coops it is so frustrating when we have friends or coworkers making comments that are insensitive to our weight loss. A friend of mine would always make a comment in how intuitively her body needs carbs and that her eating habits are what keep her slim. She has totally been gaining weight on her diet plan and is in denial about her weight fluctuating up and down.....Now I think she's totally avoiding me......which hurts too...... GT you have really had a lot of cr** come your way when it comes to your daily stressors, health, and not being able to lose weight. I wonder if eating less than 800 calories is really going to help, especially when it comes to eating healthy for optimal health benefits to keep the MS progression down.....I know your doing Dr Wahl's diet plan and it's really worked for her which s really hopeful. Gosh she went from being debilitated to regaining a lot of her functioning and appears to be doing really well. You are a very determined person and can also accomplish this........I love people with a lot of determination! They impress me so much... OD remember these guys your meeting on-line are perspective partners but the guy that is non-communicative needs to be kicked to the curb.......who needs someone like that! You deserve someone that is going to honor you and treat you like your the best thing that's ever happened to him....you are awesome! It will take quite a few dates before hitting the right one....but he's out there looking for you! M2G thank you for the feedback on my DD and DH and living situation. My DH tries to bring across a boundary and has attempted to talk with my DD but he even saids there's no talking to her. She's very stubborn and has to learn lessons the hard way. As for me, I'm just letting her spin her wheels (cognitively) and come to her senses and then her and I will talk. I will have to talk with my DH about just letting her stay with a contract that she will move out in January. It worries me because she will be moving 14 hours drive away from home and will not have anyone around her to help her except for her BF or Husband and his Mother......She is in a period of her life where she thinks she knows everything but really knows little about what it's like to have to support yourself and survive. This is life and it will be good for them. and for us....hard to launch our children. LOL LV I agree with talking with my DD and her finance (BF) about a contract with my DH. things have calmed down a bit but it has put a damper on our Xmas if I let it. Things will be really different this Xmas. And it's a good thing. So now if I can only get my grazing under control. I went to the store yesterday a few times and each time those stupid Reese's Peanut Butter Cups was calling my name, louder and louder! But I resisted and went home and made some turkey chili that was delicious..... Did a it of walking while pushing my friend in a wheel chair bc I get impatient with the speed that she goes at.....so it totally benefitted my exercise for the day.....at one time her terrier got out the door and I quickly pushed her over and ran after the terrier before he got out of the door and would have been down the street in a flash....This is really the fastest I have moved in a long time. I hate running and was shocked I could move so fast....It helps to have that 80 lbs gone..... Total NSV for me..... To all who are fasting today, I know you can do it, it is well worth it......
  20. all the answers and advice you were given are right on. i am one of the ones that does not weigh myself at home. only at my surgeons office. i don't want the scale to determine my mood or eating habit for the day. please read the nsv's. non scale victories. they are what you should be basing things on. such as, energy level, fitting in clothes better, being able to move much easier, and doing something positive for yourself is such a high. lapbanders on a whole is not about great fast weight loss, its all about how, what , and how much we are eating. 4lbs to 5lbs a month is what to expect. good luck and keep a positive attitude, you are winning this battle.

    Feeling Like A Failure...

Don't let others judge unless they walk in your shoes. I know I am off all my meds! I took 6 pills a day just to eat food and when I had the band I had my hernia repaired. My blood pressure is perfect, those pills are gone. That part is not being a failure but a NSV. Have you taken measurements and seen those numbers change? I use to wear a size 18-20 plus size jeans and now wear a 14 misses. I don't share with anyone but my husband and this site how much I weighed, how much I weigh now or how many pounds I have lost. Enjoy your weekend and don't let others bother you. You will do fine.

    Another Nsv

Last night i was washing clothes when i got a call that my husband was taken to the emergency room. i looked around and all the clothes that fit half way decent was in the washing machine or dryer. There was a pair of jeans i figured would take a couple of months to get into just hanging in my closet taunting me to try them on. so i did and they fit. i didn't have time to do a happy dance but i did smile. i wore them and they were comfortable. the scale may not be going down much but inches are. so ppl don't get discouraged by your scale. oh my husband is fine. he fainted at work but it wasn't his heart nor did he have a stroke. he will likely have to make the rounds of the specialists to see if they can't find the problem.
