  1. Well, I have done cardio 5 days in a row now. Down 2lbs this week and feeling pretty darn proud of myself. Trying to build that exercise habit and make it consistent everyday is not easy! Before I was exercising 3 times per week and I seemed to slow way down on weight loss.

  2. So, I haven't made a whole lot of progress in weight-loss lately, primarily due to being chained to my desk to finish my master's paper... however, I will be crossing another finish-line this week.

      I told my charming gentleman hubbyman that if I got mean (so, not my character - I am harmless), he should pack me up and send me back to my daughters. Thank goodness that did not happen. I will credit my bariatrician for maxing out my Wellbutrin.

  7. Three more pound and I'll be under 200 lbs. Reaching 199 will also mean I will have lost 50% of my excess weight (63.5 lbs.). So happy and excited!!

  10. Finally over my stall, Things have slowed down the last few months but slow and steady wins the race.

  11. Cold, Cold, go away...Seriously, you are messing with what little routine I had going! and this week is spring break for the kiddos. That counts as exercise, right?!

  12. I am 3 weeks post surgery, feel great in the morning. I was wondering how long it takes to be able to go to all day. I hit a wall between 3-4 everyday and I haven't been able to go back to my evening activities. i come home from work and just want rest. I use to be a night owl and am feeling frustrated with myself.

  13. Been stuck at 282-284, back and forth for several weeks now. Thinking about trying the 5 day reboot.

      when i got stuck... i stopped what i was doing at the gym and started something new. My big thing was Zumba... so i stopped and started doing weights... Not heavy.. and started Elliptical.. How's your food intake? Try and up your protein and cut more carbs. Good luck

      I don't have a problem getting protein in but I honestly haven't been keeping track of my intake of calories, fat and carbs and I know I need to do it. I'm trying to make that effort starting today.

      Thanks so much! I actually lost 2 pounds today but I'm still up one from my lowest! UGH...maybe tomorrow! Fingers crossed! Constipation is another problem that's affecting this!!! UGH, again!!!

  16. Ok.... Well... I'm getting really nervous.... It's only 2 weeks away. Tomorrow I go to do my upper GI and all of my pre-op stuff done! I am starting to get butterflies and I pray I don't have a heart attack!! Lol. Well good luck everyone!

  19. anxious to go back to work Tuesday. I am nervous to get through the first week and maintain my schedule. I know I can do this and I have a great support system at the office.

  20. Dr.s office called and rescheduled my 6 month check up. it is about 3 weeks earlier than I expected. I really wanted to be under 200 by then. With my weight loss slowing down, I may not make it. But on the bright side...I haven't been this light for years! It will be great to lose through the holidays for the first time EVER!!

  22. yesterday i finally broke the stall!!!! now im down 35lbs.

  23. Plateaus Suck! Odd observation... anyone else? I've noticed that when I'm under-eating or eating to much "sameness" day after day (with the intention to blast through that awful plateau) I don't go down on the scale. What I noticed is that I have to have enough calories to lose lbs.. In other words, after a big eating day, instead of the expected #-rise, it goes down by a pound or three. Anyone else experiencing this odd phenomenon?

      I agree with your observation. if I am eating good food all day sometimes I lose more than when I am eating the same old stuff or staying under a certain calorie count.

  24. After a full week of not exercising and going directly to bed after work because of extreme back pain, I finally was able to get back on my bike this morning. It was so great to be outside in this beautiful Indian summer weather. I just love October. And although I am more tired than I usually am after a 5 mile ride, my back pain level only increased a little from the ride. Woo-hoo! I'm back in business.

  25. Hiked a couple of weeks ago for 2 and 1/2 hours at Bushkill Falls, PA and in the Poconos. Proud of what I was able to accomplish!! Non scale victory for me!
