I go to the gym Monday-Friday for about an hour and a half sometimes 2 hours if I feel good. The elliptical is my best friend...Lol.. overall I feel good and love working out and seeing changes in my clothing size. I started back to work last week and it's been good. Everyone who has had issues with their weight will fight that until death. Just like other addictions. We will always have this close to the surface. There is not one of us that can say otherwise and be telling the truth....You know the difference and protected yourself from further damage. You are the bomb! Your doing great kid!!!!!!!

  13. i am 5 weeks out and for lunch today i had half a turkey sandwich on toasted rye bread and wondering if i messed up ......could i have the rye bread at all?

    1. Chelly

      Chelly

Did your nutritionist give you guide lines of what to eat and what not to eat?

IMO it was to soon to eat bread even if it is toasted.

Contact your nutritionist and refresh the guidelines for each stage after surgery.

    2. LAG50

      LAG50

I see well toasted bread (no specific kind) listed in phase 3. While 5wks out doesn't quite sound like phase 3 it's certainly not a death sentence. You've had it and its' over now. Get back on track and don't dwell on mistakes.....whether by mistake or on purpose. This will be one of many......and, so what...? In the name of mindful eating you may want to ask yourself why you ate it. Was it because of temptation? Super hungry and didn't plan ahead? Peer pressure/out to lunch with friends/co-workers? Once you determine why you ate it - you acknowledge your feelings and move on. Don't dwell, cause dwelling on our past/mistakes/slip-ups is "the devil" LOLOL. Stay strong doll...

  14. 1 week post op appointments tomorrow :)

      sparksrn

Never heard of it! My surgeon did suggest I bring the melt on your tongue gas x strips to the hospital.

    3. sparksrn

      sparksrn

Oh and dumping syndrome is when you get to much sugar form either carbs or real sugar and it makes you feel awful! Like a major low blood sugar drop, dizzy, etc.

  17. Well, I have done cardio 5 days in a row now. Down 2lbs this week and feeling pretty darn proud of myself. Trying to build that exercise habit and make it consistent everyday is not easy! Before I was exercising 3 times per week and I seemed to slow way down on weight loss.

I told my charming gentleman hubbyman that if I got mean (so, not my character - I am harmless), he should pack me up and send me back to my daughters. Thank goodness that did not happen. I will credit my bariatrician for maxing out my Wellbutrin.

Yes May 21st she said I don't need a post op diet just don't gain. I find that hard to believe since everyone is talking about postop diets but i guess we'll see....
