Well,TMI alert, it's because of a previous case of hemorrhoids that are acting up and he just wants to do a more thorough check. I guess it could wait, but I am in an enormous amount of pain every day. I have a call in to Dr. Aceves and want to hear his opinion on it. I truly am dreading it.

Multivitamin equals vomitting
To Be Thin 2011 replied to StacyS's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry... some of you may think this is "TMI" so dont read any further!! ... The first month post op I did liquid centrim vitimans.. then I switched to high powered Centrim for Women.. they are really big, which you couldnt tell from the dark bottle, and about 15 minutes after taking them my stomach was upset, and I would like "burp" the vitiman taste,,, nasty... The show stopper was... ugh.. so imbarassed to admit this but,,, I had a bowel movement and there was my vitiman pretty much in the same form as when I swallowed it..how sick...so I realized my body must not have been digesting this big pill... and I had noticed being so tired and just not feeling the greatest for the past couple of weeks. I went back to my liquid centrim. Its more $$$, I buy it at Walmart and go through a $7.00 bottle every 4 weeks... but at least I know for sure being liquid the vitiamns are being absorbed in my body....not like the vitimans I was taking!... good luck in finding what works for you... -
Hi all, I am 4 days post op and have yet to have a BM. I keep seeing people comment on "liquid in, liquid out", so far it's just liquid in for me. Right now i'm sipping on a little prune juice to help stimulate thing. My post op diet is full liquids... but still nothing. I'm not in any pain and I don't have any of the usual constipation stomach cramping, just haven't pooped yet.... any thoughts? Gross I know... sorry

HELP! SERIOUS gas 4 months post-op..poss. TMI
TexasFire replied to MistyDTX's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Misty, I am so sorry you are having such troubles! Don't worry about the TMI, as there is much worse on here and all that is fine, too! That's why we're here! I'm coming across your question a few days later and hope you have resolved your issues, but if not, please call your general doc or pharmacist for advice. They may want you to be seen. No matter what, I don't think you should be in this much discomfort for so long, so let them figure out how to help you. Let us know how you come along. -
I know, I know.... but I just have to ask. I never had this problem until about the last five years and that just so happens to also be the years I have been over weight. I have to use clinical strength deodorant and it sometimes wears off before the day is up. I'm having this surgery to get to be "normal" again and was just curious if this gets better also. Sorry if it's TMI but was wondering just I thought I'd ask.

How long did your 3week stall last?
2bslimkim replied to Lanette's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OK folks...... My stall lasted exactly one week. Here are my stats: pre op diet one week starting weight 215, - 8lbs Surgery date 2/28/11 wk 1 post op, - 5.5 wk 2 post op, - 4 wk 3 post op, - 0.5 wk 4 post op, - 5 wk 5 post op, - 2 wk 6 post op, - 3 wk 7 post op, - 2 wk 8 post op, - 3 wk 9 post op, - 3.5 So far this week, - 2lbs, my official weight in are on Mondays Total 38 lbs Here's my day.... rarely eat carbs. Always get tons of Water in each day (I'm drinking constantly). I get at least 3 hrs of cardio in per week (nothing overboard, swim laps and lite weights), Always eat my Protein first and i've never still been hungry for carbs afterwards (total full, no more room at the inn). I start everyday with a 30 gram Protein shake (no added sugar from fruit). I get most my protein from meat products and rarely from dairy. I keep my calories around 500-700 per day. My "rare" indulgances have been a glass or two of white wine but only on days I exercise. I have not ever gained or stalled during TOM (I think the extra water i'm drinking helps that). For a salty snack I eat Pistachios (20 = 80 cals). As you can see, i'm not pulling huge numbers (this isn't the biggest loser) but i'm somewhat consistant. If you have more specific questions like my actual daily diet let me know. At two months out its pretty simple. I like salt more than sugar so the high protein diet is easier for me than maybe if I was a sugar person. Even at 215, I rarely ate sweets CAUTION: TMI moment You must get Fiber in some how. Nothing will stall my weight loss quicker than stopped up plumbing. What ever works... please make sure you are having at least 2 or 3 BM's a week minimal. (I sound like my mother). -
So, I decided to go back to work today. I was going to go on Monday, but took a couple extra days...so very tired still. I am doing o.k., just wish I could take a nap and that someone would turn on the heat!! I am freezing in here! Feeling really weak, but I have a desk job and think I will be o.k. About 40 minutes ago, I got really embarrased. Had to go to the bathroom, stomach was rumbeling. We have a shared 3 stall restroom. I was letting it go....have had diahrreaha since last Thurday. I had the most extreme gas and as you know commercial bathrooms ECHO BIG TIME!! I was mortified. Although nobody was in there, I am sure the people that sit around the corner from the door could hear me!! TMI, I know, but I just wanted to die. RIGHT THERE!! Today is day 9 for me. I went to see my primary dr. yesterday because on Saturday, I got really dizzy in Walmart and had to go sit in the car. My bp was 111/49. I quit taking my bp meds that day and have felt better. I told him about it and he said.................I DON"T HAVE TO TAKE THEM ANYMORE!!!!! YAY HORRAY!!!! I also was taken off my Metfomin as my blood sugars are in the normal range now!!! YAY HORRAY!!!! I weighed myself this morning and have lost 7 lbs since surgery. That is fantastic. I just wish I could eat more. I am not eating as much as I should be. I am trying to get my fluids in and doing pretty well with that part! My dr. drew my blood yesterday to check my anemia and the test results today show that the anemia is not looking too good. Probably why I am so pale!! I am not sure what he will do, but probably gonna do something. Keep rockin' your sleeves!! Kelly

My cycle was off post-op. It's regulating out over the last couple of months. For November and December, it was super light, and I just started my January cycle, and BAM, I'm so over this already, it's heavy, I'm crampy, and exhausted. Sorry for the TMI. My surgeon said it was perfectly normal for my cycle to be off.

Sorry if this is TMI but I have to ask! I have PCOS and I'm on birth control so I only get a period 4 times a year. I also have endometriosis. I get hideous cramps to the point where I'm completely laid out. I double over in pain, etc. The only thing that took the edge off was a lot of NSAIDs, mainly diclofenac and 800mg of ibuprofen. Now that I'm banded I obviously can't take these medications and I'm scared of what the first period is going to bring. Tylenol, midol, and other products that aren't NSAID's do NOT touch the pain at all. For those of you who have PCOS and bad cramps and everything, what do you take for the pain now that you're banded?

Is it normal to have the runs (I know it's TMI)?

I've got my Date Oct. 19, Anyone close to that?
linzlou2000 replied to Trisha213's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery was schedule to be outpatient. I went back around 7:15 and was home by 3. Today, 24 hours out---I've gotten 32 oz of liquids in and 30 grams of protein. Still sipping. I took a small nap this morning. I just got out of the shower and settled again. Thought I would take a nap, but I don't feel tired. I'm still dealing with trapped gas. It is all in my upper chest/shoulders. I thought it was gone, but I was wrong. I also have a pain with one of my incisions. It's like my stomach is so heavy, it's pulling it down (TMI). Stupid, hanging down stomach! Overall, things are okay. -
Ladies, TMI , just wondering...
innwtitdtity replied to Jodi73's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had mine and was not able to wear a tampon, had to wear a pad. Also had to wear the special fish net panties too (just in case they need access for a catheter I was told). I did not notice any increase in flow though it was a little tough to change myself the first time while in the hospital. TMI I know  -

My last fill (July 2nd) - I was too tight. I was like you I could eat more some days than others. I was having problems some days with mashed potatoes and mushies. I got a slight un-fill which helped wonders. I think I'm still not at my sweet spot. She gave me 1.5 cc (got me up to 6.5 in a 10 cc band). My unfill was .5 I think if I get .2 on my next fill (August) I'll be right where I need to be. Probly TMI, bu thought I'd share anyway.

burning sensation post op day 3
MrsPositive replied to MrsPositive's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
All I can find is that a burning sensation on the skin can be caused by nerve endings that were cut and are regenerating. It literally feels like someone has lit my skin on fire...and not on the incision but in between them. Hurts any time I move and use my abs on my left. I have found the pain meds and an ice pack held there are the only things bringing relief. Hoping this clears up fast. I think if it was gone I would be somewhat functional. As is, I have a hard time going pee!!! Tmi I know. Frustrating!!! I will keep researching. Joan -

mistyk73 replied to mistyk73's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Time time time...that's what I keep hearing...lol I'm IMPATIENT!!!! Its so much better today after I finally passed some gas last night and today. I just keep reminding myself everyday is only going to get better! @Chef there is no such thing as TMI in this forum in my book...lol -
After surviving a leak, I've been put back on liquids along with my tpn. I'm on full liquids now. I tried to drink 3 oz of wonton broth and a had a couple bites of sf pudding and it is sitting at the top of my throat and I keep feeling like I'm going to vomit (sorry if tmi). Am I trying to take in too much at one time? How long does it actually take liquid to travel out of the stomach? I'm trying to space out when I eat to make sure I'm not putting too much in my stomach at one time. I seem to stay confused on how to eat now,,maybe I was one of those that shouldn't have wls, I don't know. Too late now. Feeling very frustrated.

What Is With The "gurgles"?
lellow replied to KathyOfAlabama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ha! I'm almost 4 years out and until my band started leaking about 2 months ago, I still did that. And embarrasingly enough, it seemed to get worse during sex (lol, sorry TMI I know!). I usually don't have to explain it to anyone, but it's a little bit harder to ignore right smack in the middle fo getting intimate with someone! It is part of band life, and after a while, you get used to it. I figure those noises are still better than most people's loud belching or flatulence! -
End up in emergeny for constipation. I take My fiber but haven't been again on 10 days. What do you all do if you have this problem.
