  1. TMI but for the last month or so; I have been having a yellow discharge; it doesn't smell fishy. My VSG surgery was on 11/29/2021. This discharge is coming down excessively feels like day 2 of my menstrual cycle. I have to wear a normal pad. I had covid so I was not able to see my gynecologist until now. My appointment is tomorrow. I'm worried about what's causing the vaginal discharge. Has this happened to anyone else?

you should have protein drinks 30g. premiere , sugar free popsicles, sugar free fudge pops , crystal light any flavor to add to your water, unflavored isopure protein get from gnc , chicken broth , water with protein already in it. these are the things you will have to choose from for the first 2 weeks of your surgery.

  4. From the album: Post Op Progress - Sleeved 10/13/21

I'm 270.1 here, 13 full weeks done and tomorrow is my three month calendar sleeveaversary. Good stuff!
  5. What I've learned this last 2 weeks is consistent. That's I've been able to lose a pound here and there. This morning sucked it was 48 degrees but I am working on being consistent and sticking to it. Am perfectly sticking to it? Hell no but I'm working my ass off!

  6. I had my gastric bypass surgery on January 4th and I’ve just transitioned to full liquids. I’m sitting here sipping my soup, and my NUT said that I would only be able to handle 4oz or so of any food, but I’m not feeling full at all. I’m super worried about like, popping my staples or something! EDIT: I made myself stop just because I was concerned, but what is normal?
  7. Hi, im 13 weeks post op and having severe back, coccyx and stomach pain. I’ve tried meds etc and checking what I’m eating but it won’t go. The stomach pain is uncomfortable and painful where I can’t even stand. Has anyone else had this at all? a

    4 weeks post op

Hi guys I’m 4 weeks post op. The day of surgery I was 286lbs I think about a week from that I was 264lbs, but since then I’ve been stalled for 2 weeks(maybe some days). Currently 259. I have pain still as if it were the first day all over again. I literally eat nothing as everything disgusts me. I do try to drink my protein shakes, but only get 1 in per day. I drink maybe 30oz of water daily. Is this anyone else’s experience? Does anyone have any advice ?
  9. Im 5 weeks and 2 days out. I am tolerating all the allowed foods easily. Any one have experience with potatoes at this stage? Sent from my SM-G986U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I'm so worried and frustrated.. I am really starting to feel more hungry. I workout 2 times a day 25 minutes each round. I put a pound back on. I feel like I'm doing everything wrong! Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. My surgery was December 28 . So today I noticed after I ate I got a stomach pain . And had to use the rest room right after . Is this dumping ??? I tend to over think or stress so I’m trying not to do that about everything.
  12. Hello All, Happy New Year! I need help from those experienced sleeve folks What are your biggest recommendations to prep for a successful surgical day and what's really important (to you) two weeks after. I'm fighting a diet coke addiction, no joke.
  13. I had mini bypass on November 25th. So I’m 5 weeks post op. SW 237, CW 217. I’m around 600-700 calories a day and only losing 2 pounds a week for the last 3 weeks. Is this normal?
  14. Any advice would be great as they only gave me one nutrition visit and noting post because $300 out of a pocket a session is too much for my budget right now. I ma 5 weeks post gastric sleeve and struggling with water intake I hate water I have drank sparkling water for the past 10 years. All the crystal lights and Mio I have tried are to sweet. Also my protein intake is awful since the surgery any shake I have tried makes me vomit along with everything else lately. And my weight has stayed the same I have lost nothing. So discouraged right now. Starting the gym Monday
  15. I’m only a week out from surgery and I just can’t stand my protein she’s. Help

I’m pre sleeve and at the same starting weight you were. This is my fear… not meeting the weight loss number(80lbs or more) the surgeon told I should lose. Did your doctor give you a predicted number of pounds he expects you to loose? I’m going to follow your journey if you don’t mind. I’m new to the sight and looking for insight guidance and expectations. I wish you all the best !!!!! Good Luck and God Bless !!!!!

😃 Great to hear you restarted the loss ! 6 weeks seems like it would have been so frustrating and disappointing.

  17. Officially 6 weeks post op!

  18. I'm feeling worried,. I'm not getting all my protein in or water. I'm getting like 50 ounces of water in and 50 to 60 protein in. And not losing weight. I can't walk much I need a new hip and back surgery. I feel like I am failing.. sad for me Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. So as expected I lost about 12 pounds in my clear liquid phase which was for a week post-Op. But ever since I started full liquids (Day 6 of full liquids), I haven't lost anything instead put on a pound 😂 So question is how long do these stalls last? Is it different for different folks? Or there's an average most expect to move beyond the stalls? How long did you stall for?
  20. Keep going. I guess I'm experiencing a stall almost 6 weeks out. Keep going.

  21. Thought this was gonna be easy for some reason , but nope 👎. 2 days in and acid reflux, chest pain, shortness of breath that by the 4th day I’m at the ER crying 😢. Well in pain anyway. ECG, aspirin, Tylenol and Mylanta given. Heart if fine - no heart attack for me which I knew. Doc just had lamb done and wicked acid reflux. Doc sends me for chest X-ray. As l stand to take chest x-rays I start to heave like I’m gonna hurl at any moment, but instead of vomiting it’s gas - 3 big beltches before x-ray. Pain level decreases a few notches. X-ray show’s gas - a lot of gas in area, starts me on PPIs and sends me home. ER for a gas attack 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. Anyway went to my doctor yesterday and medication to continue to treat acid reflux and week off of work to recover. Spoke to my surgeon today, told him everything and he was like ok - this weekend you can start soft diet. Dude I hardly been drinking any thing now 😂. So anyway the past 2 days have been better and can drink more without splashback so hopefully I can start soft foods next week. This is my story so far, hopefully the rest will be successfully boring 😁. I am sorry for typos and big spaces but it seems my screen is black so I can’t see the words I’m typing other than the emojis. All the best.
  22. I was a model child the first two weeks after surgery. I had no appetite and anything I put in my mouth was strictly out of medical necessity but I was dogged and made sure to meet my protein and water requirements every day. Lost 12 lbs. The second two weeks, I’m not sure if I was “hungry” but I found I could enjoy food again and things became more tempting. With the Doctor’s approval, and I asked many specifics of her, such as flax, vinegar, and protein bars with nuts, she reassured me “I couldn’t hurt my stomach”, I moved forward and, while eating 75% on target, I also incorporated small amounts of things from my old life – a bite of bread roll, a 1” square of brownie, half a flour tortilla, a piece of corn dog. All while keeping my calories between 700-900 a day. Nothing seemed to bother my stomach and my capacity, while certainly limited, was more than I expected. At my four week appt, the nutritionist was a bit horrified and pretty much wrote me up as non-compliant. Said that most people were eating about 500 calories a day at that point. After sulking (and stalling) for another week, I started adding a protein shake back for breakfast, upped my water by 16 ounces and focusing more on the basics: using a scale, focusing on protein and vegetables, walking. I learned taking the tiny bites was not to help my stomach, but my head: it sucks when your meal is over in 3 or 4 bites. I claimed I could not walk because I have grade 4 arthritis in my knee and I’m really busy, but if I get up early, I can get a mile in before I go to work. And I added ankle weights to up the effectiveness. As of now, the scale is moving again after the stall from hell but I’ve also, grudgingly, learned the rules are there for a reason. I’m not here to be austere, at age 59, my only reason for loss is health, and I don’t feel the drive to be thin/attractive, so I still have my little treat: a 70 calorie square of baking chocolate. My calories these days still fall closer to 750 but I’ve lived a life of self-indulgence and self-discipline is hard to come by now.
  23. I'm a few days post op and feeling okay overall. I've started with the liquid phase and currently I'm making banana smoothies with added protein that I drink throughout the day. I drink water in the morning, wait 10 minutes and then I sit down and slowly get one glas of smoothie down in 30 minutes. It's maybe 200ml or 2dl. Is that too much in one sitting this early on? I don't feel nausea or too full, but I do have some pain in my stomach most of the time, but that's pretty normal this soon after surgery? Should I just see how it goes further down or does anyone feel like this is absolutely too much and that I should take longer? Sent from my KB2003 using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. I hit my stall ALREADY 🤷🏽‍♀️ been at 300 for almost a week. I’m not worried about it though, because I know that my body is healing. I’m not in a rush, I loss 30 pounds since surgery which was 3 weeks ago. I’m just going with the flow and staying positive. 😁

It's very common. Give your body a chance to "catch up" with its new reality and the weight loss will start again. Hang in there, I know it can be frustrating!

Same with me. Lost 38 lbs from the week I started clear liquids prior to surgery. Did not lose an ounce for the last 10 days, woke up this morning and decreased 2 lbs. I think it is normal. Dont panic. Your body is in shock and trying to figure out how to readjust.

    Weight Loss Stall

Hi everyone! I had Gastric sleeve in Mexico on October 28th and weighed 283. Today I weight 268. My weight has been 268 for 2 and a half weeks, I managed to get down to 266 Saturday but then went back up!. I’m not eating over 7-800 calories, take in a good amount of water, my protein could be better but I definitely hit at least 40 grams which is what was put to at least hit (40-60 per nutritionist). I move around and walk for at least 15-20 min. What is going on? Is something wrong with me? Did I pay 4500 for nothing? I’m very depressed and thinking I’ll never lose weight. I eat a variety of food I don’t limit anything but it’s all home food not eating pizza and stuff. I eat grilled chicken tenders, sweet potatoes whole wheat toast boiled eggs veggies yogurt all healthy and no more than 4-5 bites per meal. I’m very very depressed that even a surgery can’t help me lose weight.
