well for me at least. Today, one of my consumers (I work with disabled persons) asked me if she could pick up pizza for lunch. Pizza (and for some strange reason strawberry milk) have been my more severe cravings! I reluctantly agreed. When she brought the pizza in the car it smelled sooo good. I realized then that the pizza does not need to be eaten to be enjoyed... hello I have other senses! I decided to enjoy the smell of pizza and honestly, it worked! I didnt feel the need to eat it. I guess this would be consider an NSV. Just wanted to share, I guess. Hope you are all doing great!

I'm So Blah I Don't Even Know What To Title This Blog.

Today is one of those days where I feel like I'm going backward. Though I've made amazing progress in the past three months, the past week is what is getting me down. It's the yo-yo plateau. You know, the same two pounds...back and forth, back and forth. Ugh! I am trying to step up my exercise and mix it up a bit. Watching my calorie intake. Trying to keep my water intake up as well. Those two pounds just won't leave forever! I know I should focus on NSVs like all the positive comments I'm getting from people; the fact that I have very few items in my closet that fit; the fact that I just got a pair of pants that are THREE sizes smaller than what I had when I started this journey. Isn't it amazing how two freakin' little pounds can trip you up in such a way. Okay....gonna try to be more positive tomorrow. -
My hubby got me some clothes this year for Christmas. I told him to get me size 12 in pants so I had something to try to get into. Well sure enough I open up some size 12 jeans so I tell him....I will hopefully be able to get into these next month. Well just for fun I decide to try them on and my big butt actually fit into the size 12 jeans! Wow! I never thought I'd see a size 12 again and it crept up on me. It was the best feeling ever!

hahaha! I am just weening my 18 month year old from breast feeding anyhow my mom decided it was time for me to throw away the nursing bras and get me some with a bit more support! He He He...anyhow I went into the Bra shop and was looking around at size 22 (18usd) around the torsoe with a DD cup...hmmm the sales person asked if I had been fitted recently...to which I explained ahhh No! so the bustled me off to the dressing room and started fitting me...OK so my cup size was G australian sizing (lots for an eventual new man to play with) but the size around the torsoe was actually a size 18 ( equiv...14USD) I was stoked...Yay! becky

I have a back injury, so I decided to soak in a hot, steamy bubble bath at about 4:30am this morning. As I was sitting in the tub, I realized that I had PLENTY of room! Also that my thighs are waaay smaller! Sooo...after lots of splashing around, I did something I hadn't done in years: I stood up from the bathtub without worrying that I'd get stuck! Lol! This NSV put the icing on my Wednesday! Sent from my iPhone using VST

That is wonderful!!! Collarbones are exciting...last night I was lying in bed and realized that my ribs stuck up higher than my tummy. WOOO HOOOO!!!! Of course, that's only when I'm lying down...but it's a vast improvement! Best of luck and continue to enjoy those NSVs. Rain -
NSV's do mean so much more because they're usually when your head suddenly catches up. I mean I could weigh 30kg and still think I was fat. The number doesnt computer. Its when you catch a sight of yourself from behind in a dressing room mirror and realise you're not 2 metres wide but actually have a nice shape, or see the odd photo of yourself that surprises you etc, THAT's when you truly see how far you've come. Those are awesome moments.

I am giggling about this post, because collarbones are the most exciting thing to me too!!! I have a new habit of sitting and rubbing them as a comfort. I love feeling that hard bump of bone that has been hidden under its protective fat layer for as long as I can remember. I totally relate to the shoulders too. I have lost my roundedness and now actually have some shape to my shoulders. Very exciting. I can also suck my stomach in enough to see ribs. They are certainly not visible on their own though. My next goal is to see a hip bone! haha. I imagine that sounds weird to many, but after years of being a human cushion, it is exciting to have some sharp edges again! Way to go on your NSV!!!

My hubby looked at me one day and said wow! you can really tell in your face how much weight you have lost! That was my first nsv! Then my coworkers were making fun of me bc my clothes are too big on me now! But I told them that I was gonna wear them until they fell off!! LOL Melissa

I have a dimple! Not like the kind that is on my thighs...the FACE kind! Who knew. Ive never been small enough to see it. This is by leaps and bounds the best NSV Ive had so far!

Congrats Laurend. I wish I'd taken my measurements before the surgery. I had a similar NSV today. My boyfriend had bought me these flannel house pants type things the day of my surgery so I'd have something comfortable to wear post surgery. Well of course I couldn't get them on which was no surprise. I decided to try them on tonight and I'm wearing them! They are even a little loose. So even though I haven't lost that much weight something is changing! This is fun!
