Yup this little girl was the deciding reason why I chose to do this to myself....So I could be there when she grew up hopefully and hold her this close to me and experience the true a true lasting close hug from her...It is one of the most enjoyable NSV for me so far...What was yours?

Counting this as a success

I call that, one helluva NSV. Congrats, all you have to do is take one step at a time. -
I truly thought I'd never lose, but today I'm six months out, 85+ pounds down and feeling like a million dollars. Those stalls really kick us in the butt, though. I look hard for the NSVs or non scale victories because I know how far I have to go...but just look how far I've come already! You will get there too!!

Congrats jaydee.... As Jim said that is a NSV !! and wow I bet you were smiling for sure..... this is just the begining ...enjoy !!! -
My first stall started at 2 weeks and lasted about a month. Then I stalled again at about 8 weeks for another 2 weeks. I have really decided to not let it bother me too much and focus on my overall loss and NSV. I just about only have 1 chin now and can feel my cheek bones again! I can make it up 2 flights of stairs without being out of breath. I started looking more closely at my fat intake and that seemed to break my last stall. I am eating more cream of wheat for breakfast and doing small lean cuisines at lunch. It is so hard to not get frustrated, but maybe you can find something else to measure by also to get excited. I had a pair of pants that I would make sure to put on and I could feel the changes more with that than what the scale said. Those pants don't even stay up now!

That is the best NSV I have heard in a long time. I am so happy for you.

I did so much better today! My first NSV for sure! I stuck to the post op diet and feel so much better! I even got more fluids in. I also switched from crystal lite to the low cal gatorade. I think my body needed the extra boost right now. Thanks for the support!!

I am not sure how to detail this but looking back I remember how difficult it was to get down on to the floor and tons worse to get back up again, without rolling on to my knees and struggling to get up. My knees would be hurting, my back would be killing me and I hated it and it was embarassing. OK that said here is my NSV~ Last Thursday I was running a group at my work. A patient had a seizure and I had to run over and help hold him into place on his chair so he would not fall on to the floor and hurt himself. Then we had to lower him to the floor and I sat on the ground next to him to reassure him and to check on him while help arrived. I had to hop up undo the straps on the gurney and then grab the backboard, get back down on to the ground, help load him on the backboard and help lift him on to the gurney itself and Strap him him down on the gurney for safety and then he was taken away. When it was all over I realized I was hopping and kneeling and lifting and all of this and I never gave it a second thought!! I never hurt, I never struggled to get up or down or lift him or anything. I was a bit sore the next day, but just in my lower back but dang that was it and it was just a twinge if I paid attention to it. I NEVER could have done all that before surgery. It was amazing to realize I could do that and be fine. I never gave any of this a second thought until later in the day, but then it hit me and I am shocked and so excited over something so small.. How far and how fast things have changed for me.. I love this new me! I am strong and powerful and capable, what beats that?

I am so excited. I know this has nothing to do with surgery, but I have to tell someone. So why not tell the forum. I am having my first job interview since I had all my spine surgeries in 2012. I was terminated from my last job because I got a staph infection and was not able to return to work at the time I was supposed too. Kinda unfair, but life isn't fair. Took me a while to get over feeling like a failure. Anyway, I really hope I get this job. Sometimes I always had this thought in the back of my head I wasn't getting a job because of my weight. Hopefully, tomorrow will be different, plus I am well qualified for this job. Wish me luck!!! The only problem I have is I have no interview clothes because I have no money to buy them. So I am going to wear my doc martens, nice jeans and a nice top.

NSV + "oh my goodness" moment!
Elode replied to Elode's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Oh AND I was telling someone else this too but last week I had another NSV! Those dang bleachers. Back when I was fat there is NO WAY I would try to squeeze my big self past people on those things. Now I have no problem walking my skinny no butt having a** right past them to get a good seat! Right down the middle! Not one shit given! -

@@katladee Thank you so much! I did wear those legging, out of the house and in public and everything! First time in public. I think this summer I'm going to pass those boots of. Like the traveling pants on boots. They were my first NSV. The one I wanted the most and now they're too big around the legs but I still love them. They need to go to someone else on this journey who will love them as much as I do/did. -

@@Elode, Congratulations on yet another NSV! You have so many of them, and I am thrilled that you are able to recognize and appreciate them, and that you share them with us! How uplifting and hopeful! Congrats. -
Aw...that is great! Love the NSVs. :tongue_smilie:

Oh, that brought a tear to my eye! What a sweet daughter you have there. Congrats on the NSV!

Absolutely lol... I would be lying if I said it didn't. It's been a struggle mentally since the gain and this stall started. I've been focusing on looking at NSV and focusing on how my body is changing. I won't lie though I still feel like I'm doing something wrong and that I will never lose this weight... almost like I've lost all the weight I will lose which is silly because I've only lost like 13lbs and I know this is just part of the journey.

I meant to say NSV. Sorry for the typo people.

I remember when i could safely trim "down there" without injuring the sensitive lady bits... It was momentous! Congrats on the NSV!

Lol!! Thanks gals! Luckily I've always kept tampons and pads in my bathroom and glove compartment. I always thought about the "just in case" factor. Even though "it" never came! Lol. So this AM I was able to use one of my supplies. I have always with wings. Hope that's a good brand. We'll see. I wasn't sure how to put it on like which direction... There's a wider part that I figured should go towards the back and the smaller in the front. I hope that's right..? Lol. I'll look into the heating pads as well. I took Tylenol extra strength a few minutes ago. Hopefully it will work Bc these cramps are no joke. I planned on going shopping today but I don't want to walk around feeling like this. Your right this is a NSV! Whoohoo. And omg 72 days of bleeding. Sheesh! Your a trooper. I'm praying this doesn't last longer than 7 days. Lol. Thanks again!!!!

Awesome! Congrats that is such a great NSV!
