  1. To whom much is given, much is required. I feel so blessed to be placed in this position. Two year post sleever, 155 pounds down and my life quality is soooo amazing! Thank you Lord for this opportunity! It is now my turn to give back. I have found my passion through this journey. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. I am now a health coach and owner/operator of a nutrition club. Pre or Post-op weight loss, Weight loss stalls, etc. I want to help!

Everyone is nervous. Scared of the surgery itself. Possible pains/discomforts. And what if it fails. Been there. You'll be great. If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up anytime! :)

Thank you Nychibberts! It is definitely awesome. I just came back from Florida. I took my daughter to Universal Studios, Disney World and Lego Land all in one week! No back pain! No hip pain! No swollen ankles! NOTHING! I was able to ride everything with her! What a blessing! Even the airplane ride to and from. I did not require a seatbelt extension and I didn't make the person next to me uncomfortable. Love It!

  2. HELP!! i was never a sweets lover, but ever since i got sleeved sweets is one of the things i can eat normally without throwing up.. i lost weight but most of it from my pre op diet.. i lost about 7 lbs the first two weeks then 1lb per week after. I am so scared that this surgery will fail for me. I read so many great stories. . i need help! im eating so bad.. mostly sweets. ii cant stop eating.. im constantly hungry.. i eat to vomit then eat again. I feel like i failled.. i waited so long for this and today i am eating worst than before the surgery. i need advice. has anyone experienced this?

I am pre-op and diabetic. I would supplement the sweetness with Sweet N' Low or Splenda, if you want to cook something sweet.

try something like a quest bar. its sweet, taste like a treat(to me) and still has 20 grams of protein in a bar. its worth a shot. but like @terrydumont46 said, you should seek counseling.

thnx for the advice... yes i do need counseling. i will talk to my doctor about it.

Thank you!! I am so close to that 1st 100lbs! It is only the half way point for me while it is the finish line for others. I am so grateful to be where I am though. I lost a whole runway model.

    3. AuriP

      AuriP

The runway model thing made me laugh. Although that is kind of sad, to have to be that tall and skinny at the same time is just as bad as being obese. The majority of society doesn't look at it that way though. We all know that the majority of them have to work superhard to stay that thin.

Congrats on the loss of a whole runway model!

  4. logging a 4 lb loss since friday. its weird not gaining weight over the weekend like i used to!

  10. had my first fill on Friday. Don't think it went too well. Dr. wanted me to drink water to make sure it went down while he made adjustments. I had really hard burps forming which distracted from my ability to sense if the water was going down. Or maybe I was just nervous about the process. not sure how many cc I got. Dr. says if there is not weight loss by the end of the week we'll try again.

I actually did speak with the Dr's office, they said they sent it all in, but have no worries, they will handle it for me :) What a relief!!!

yeah I am tracking on the fitnesspal, I didn't know anything about those atkins shakes, they are good? I tried a shake thing from stop & shop yesterday and it wasn't bad, but the thickness is what I think gets me? I am going to definitely do the tuna thing, I love tuna, and any fish. I have to find something more than what I am doing, I get my water in no problem, its just the dang protein? Thanks for the help hun!!!

    2. BladeFox

      BladeFox

Atkins is creamy and you must do tiny sips to get it down. I can only do the Dark Chocolate Royale shake.

    3. pupichupi

      pupichupi

huh, I will look into them!!! I actually got a protein shake down last night, I used more milk than the 8 oz it calls for it made it less creamy, and I was able to get it down, so that was a plus!!!

  23. Tomorrow is 3 weeks Post op and I am a little discouraged at how slow the weight is coming off as I had a horrible start to all this?

    1. pupichupi

      pupichupi

Thanks Odesa, I always have wanted things now instead of being patient and letting things happen they way they are supposed to happen? I need to learn some patience?

    2. odesa

      odesa

Hehe, we all need to learn it. I have to keep reminding myself that it took me 23 years to get to where I was so I'll need more than a few weeks to get back to where I should be. Pretty common sense stuff but I too can be impatient so just say to yourself "Marathon" and not "Sprint" :D

    3. pupichupi

      pupichupi

I will do that!!! Thanks :)

So close to getting under 200 pounds. I weighed in at 212 this week. Highest weight this time last year was 301. Surgery day I was 275. Thrilled to be dropping this weight!!
