Hello All! And congratulations on our anniversary month! Please be warned in advance that my post is about some "bathroom topics" so feel free to stop reading if your easily grossed out. I was aware that constipation was a likely issue for "sleevers," but I have had the exact opposite problem -- and frankly -- have not had a normal bowel movement since the surgery. I'm very, very careful about sugars and fats, and I've eliminated lactose from my diet all together because of the horrible reaction. Yet I'm still in the bathroom multiple times a day with water-based diarrhea. Food and certain medications come out in the bowl as though they were not digested at all! What is going on in my stomach?! GI says it's IBS (apparently IBS is the new black!) and that I should take a fiber supplement. I can't live like this! I'm at "goal." I was a band to sleeve convert. I'm nearly 5'10" and currently 126 lbs., and wasting (no pun intended) away each day. This condition is affecting my work, personal life, fitness routine, etc. I'm so exhausted all the time, and the physicians that I've seen seem to write me off because the choice that I made to have the sleeve. Any information, similar symptomology, or guidance you all could offer would be most appreciated. Many thanks and wishing you the best!

I Want To Do 3 Plastic Surgery
TinyMamiOf3kids replied to TinyMamiOf3kids's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Well I feel I will or they will sag more then what it is. I meet this woman in the market that said she had surgery in 2006 and she lost all her boobs. She was a triple FFF and she looks like a B cup. She did a great job keeping weight off. I saw her checking out the sugar of the items & such. I hate my boobs after kids & I want a lift also. I think when they mess with your boobs you lose the feeling (sorry tmi but man look s........n....ples)... so that's the reason he feels it's fine, but I don't. -
Yeah,I actually changed from the hospital to have mine at MAR surgery center. I WA reading those posts and I swear I had such anxiety it gave me diarrhea. Tmi, but it's true. I'm not going back there and reading any more complications. I'm coming from Oklahoma and it just seems so far away if I had any of that stuff go wrong. I'm gonna do myself a favor n not go to that forum. Scared me lol

Birth Control Pills Ok To Swallow?
duckydoom replied to akurre12's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My docs made sure that I was on bc before they'd even talk to me (I'm using the ring, and I echo the "sorry for the TMI" sentiments above). I have a friend who had the sleeve done recently though, and she had to be off of her bc for a month before they'd have her in surgery at all. So, I'm curious to see what my doc says about any forms of hormonal bc. -
Birth Control Pills Ok To Swallow?
gottobeme replied to akurre12's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe it's just me and the fact that I use and IUD (sorry TMI) but you would think doctors and their support staff would think to tell people about these things!!! I mean jeez, they don't want people getting pregnant for a year or so afterwards so you would think this should be at the top of their list of things to discuss with potential patients! -
Hi everyone hope this isn't TMI but did y'all shave "down there" as prep for surgery why or why not?

Hello Am In Five After Surgery Am Doing Well Besides The Lower Back Pain That I Have,
MinaT replied to lapropia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use myfitnesspal.com I have to take 4 optisource vitamins a day and I'm not good at remembering them. (seriously this will be tmi but I'm tired of orange pee and orange water coming out of both ends). I also have lower back pain, which I have never had before, I use an ice pack and that seems to help. Walk, sip, take Gas X and it will help. It's a good idea to start keep tracking of liquids, protein etc. now. -
Crazy Question About Post Surgery Bm
Ready4success posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello everybody, I'm hoping someone can give me some info. I know it seems like TMI, but I'm worried about this. Here's my story: I had my gallbladder removed in '09. Since then, I have to go to the restroom as soon as I finish eating. Literally, take my last bite, and head to the restroom. I've tried changing my diet (doctor's suggestion), but nothing helps. I even have to go right after drinking a Protein shake, and that's not even real food. I'm able to conveniently plan my meals so that I don't have any emergencies, but that's based on 3 meals a day (sort of). When I start my pre-op diet and have to drink 5 shakes a day, I will have to go after each one. It will be weird at work, and I'll be dehydrated before I even have the surgery. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had this problem, and did it continue after surgery? Thanks, and sorry about the topic. -
Lap-Clap (Tmi) Making Running Impossible - Help Please
Pookeyism posted a topic in Fitness & Exercise
Okay, I am down from a 26 or so to a 12-14 or so, and to be blunt I cannot run due to my lap...it claps, and while I am not experiencing any rashes it tears at the softer skin underneath...it is painful to run (and I can run now, dammit!). Any specific products anyone has used (I mean undergarment, duck tape, super glue, majic wishes from an evil djin) would be greatly appreciated. Thing is it just doesnt seem to be that big...I really want to run guys! I want to get out there and feel my legs burn and my lungs stretch...but I feel like someone is trying to aggressively peel my abdomen away... -

Pre-Op Testing Today: Slightly Over 2 Weeks Till Surgery - It's Gettin' Real.
sleevemeup replied to Patrick Curl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Patrick, with your commitment, I know you will do great! You will be ahead of me, so I am watching you (not in a stalking way).... I'm really hoping the drain thing doesn't happen to me, that's what grosses me out. The catheter, well for women ( I had one with my c-section), wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I did pee myself (tmi?) once just after they took it out b/c I couldn't feel it until, well it was too late. My husband, just like your wife are very supportive, so we are very lucky. Your time will come before you know it! -
hi! i tried to go thru insurance, but was denied and ended up doing self pay. i was out of work 4 days. i stayed 1 night in the hospital where my pain was managed, so I was happy with that. i had some gas pain when i got home, but all was managed by taking my pain meds, walking, and gas x. by day 5 post op, i was feeling pretty good and by day 9-10, i was feeling pretty much back to normal. the 1 thing (maybe TMI??) is that I got a yeast infection after getting home from the hospital due to all the antibiotics they pumped into me for surgery and after....however it wasnt a big deal, as for food, it seems every doctor is different and you will get a plan from your doc and/or nutritionist. good luck!

I was suppose to start Stage 3 on Saturday. I went shopping for the family tonight and when I got to the Soup aisle I felt depressed. I just couldn't do another day of pureed soup for dinner. Last night I barely ate it. So I purchased a can of seasoned lemon pepper tuna. I mashed it up well with my fork and all I had in the fridge was regular mayo (I have to buy LF) and mixed a little in. I was nervous as heck! I put a very small amount in my mouth and chewed at least 40 times until it was gone. Not very much to swallow. I didn't eat much because I'm nervous. I see my NUT tomorrow and she officially gives me the clearance. I'm so excited. Scared but excited. TMI: I have cramps so I'm also like is that a pain in my sleeve. I think if I didn't tolerate it I would probably vomit. Right? Fortunately I didn't and I don't feel nauseous.

So now that I've lost 92lbs I have no solid breast tissue. I have the hardest time buying bras. I bought some beautiful bras from VS that fit great. The problem is after wearing them a few hours my breasts just fall. I would love breast implants but who can afford that lol. Does anyone have any suggestions. I know it's sort of TMI but it's so frustrating.

Hi I'm new here and 21 days post-op. I've started to hate eating because it just makes me sick. I do not overeat, yet I find that sometimes after eating I get ill. But it's not in the way I've heard anyone else talk about. Instead of throwing up I go back and forth to the bathroom dealing with the other end. I know this is TMI but I really need to know if this is something anyone else goes through! I do suffer from anxiety disorder and I spent weeks before surgery convincing myself I'd be one of the people who are perfectly fine 3 wks out, unfortunately I'm not. I'm so anxious about everything I can't eat and when I'm sick it's awful. Anyone else have this issue?

I hear you! I couldn't eat from Friday June 1st, having gotten stuck! then starting on Monday, June 4, I couldn't eat or drink. Even water! Egads! By the way, I was originally banded 6/15/09, 3 years ago and am at goal weight. Anyway, Tuesday night I call my doctor, he sends me to the ER, says I need fluids. Long story...........they think my band slipped and was admitted to the hospital. My surgeon came by, got me into the ER at 11 the next morning, 06/06, Wednesday. Turns out the band stayed in its stitched place, but all the PBing/vomiting I did on Thursday night being stuck caused my (lower) stomach to come up through the band. He fixed it, made sure all was okay and I'm starting the journey all over again. It feels "new" except I have more knowledge this time. Ha! At least I'm ok with Protein shakes cuz 3 years ago I got too much of them! I'm on liquids for 2 weeks! Longer than last time, but probably cuz I need to heal my irritated stomach and esophagus. I was without food for a long time! And no liquids for 2.5 days And maybe that's why I was thankful for the liquids? Much more gas pain in the shoulder and neck this time and the chest pain. Ouch! And nauseau! I'm not liking that part. Horrible gas, and diarrhea. TMI sorry! I want some cheese so badly! I see my doctor on Friday June 22.

Jealousy
TinyMamiOf3kids replied to KevinsBabyGirl85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband got used to the weight gaining thru out the marriage but I don't think he loves it. He loves me but I don't think he would had thought my weight would get so high. I got surgery for my self. No one especially my hubby told me to lose weight. I did it for me & I'm saving to lift my arm-boobs-tummy tuck. I want to feel good about my self & being fat never made me feel good but I'm loving my self now. Hubby seems to love it also. I think the way I was behaving was pushing him away from me. I wanted no sex tmi sorry if he came in the shower I was like go away. I was wearing big clothes hiding my self. Would eat fast food in my car. Didn't want anyone to see me. I felt nasty. Now that I feel good I don't mind being nude having sex. My husband kisses me now it's been months of leave me alone with twice a month sex maybe. I think any men wants there wife more then ever looking good & feeling good about her self. -
I was 114 pounds in my 20s ... thyroid, mid thirties baby, a mega love of foods that are way too bad and super laziness (ill be the first to admit) put me to 313...but my attitude and self love hasnt changed one bit.... what did change was the fact that I cant keep up with my severely autistic daughter, i had sleep apnea, a d was afraid of dying young (and wiping my own ass wqs becoming a struggle....tmi) PERSONALLY, I find bigger women more attractive, my hubby never was with a thin woman, all the men I dated were strict chubby chasers and I never had a problem finding men attrated to me. It would be offensive to me for someone to think that after losing weight Im somehow more desireable....to who? the undersireables?

I have found that affection makes one quite adaptable to the bodily characteristics of the one loved, even if those characteristics are outside of societal norms. I am going to get a bit graphic here: the loose skin could actually be worked into the general erotic scene, even an asset. Guys with some semblance of emotional maturity and intellect can make this adjustment with ease. Not wanting do bestow upon you TMI but my wife has lost nearly 90 pounds since her Roux N Y. The following guys convey my feelings about it:
