    Couch to 5k.....come join me!!

DS and I went out for chinese tonight. I am really trying to do well on low carb so I ate meat only. No rice at all, and not much meat. I have been throwing up ever since. Chinese food is usually not hard for me to get down, and I haven't had great restriction lately. I am wondering if my long runs the last 2 days have caused my band to be a little tighter. I am a little worried about throwing it up though. Not real throw up. It is still undigested, but my body is "wretching" to get it out. I so don't want any band complications this close to ps, or ever for that matter. No more chinese for me. I hope this goes away soon. It is much better right now. Nothing has come up in about 10 minutes, but I still feel like it's right there.. Ok, Iknow, TMI, but who else do I tell all this to.

800 calories ? IS IT ENOUGH?

Thank you all for such a quick response. I do have a chart to keep measurements but I have to admit I have missed a week or 2 . Not staying consistent is one of my struggles that lead me here. the clothes are fitting better and when I do measure inches are definitely dropping. I have recently added flaxseed to my yogurt daily . But the lack of bm's got pretty bad 2 weeks ago and it was literally impacted.(sorry tmi).. The few times I jumped on the scale at the gym I was still at 195ish... been that weight since week 3. I get about 32-40 oz of Water a day eat plenty of Protein but have little to no Fiber in my diet.
  3. I'm five days out of surgery, and I'm kind of having some issues. Well, I feel fine and everything, really, I do, but I've had a few issues with being able to drink anything at all really. I sip Water all day, but can never get down more than maybe one or two bottles in a 24 hour period, and I'm suppose to have 6 oz. of liquid 6 times a day for meals, but I can usually only manage two of them. I'm also NEVER hungry. Not at all. I only try the two meals so I can at least make sure I have some nutrition in me. They settle like a lead balloon in my stomach. I think that, maybe, I just swelled a little more than expected, but it is starting to worry me. The past three days, when I finally was able to go to the bathroom, I've only urinated once a day (zero bowel movements since surgery) and it's a pretty dark color, so I'm worried I'm getting really dehydrated. Sorry if that's a bit TMI, but I just need a bit of help keeping liquids down. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow, to see what he says, but I wondered if you guys had any ideas? Maybe I should try less Fluid more times than six times a day? Any advice and prayers would help, thanks! Edit: Also, I haven't thrown up or anything like that, I just constantly feel so full, like I've eaten a huge meal, even though I haven't really eaten anything, you know?

    August Band Crew!!!!!

Hi Everyone... I'm back and banded and although I'm having a bit of gas pain, that's about it. I haven't had much pain from the incision or the port. My surgery experience was really really good. The woman who woke me up from anaesthesia exclaimed "My name is Jackie and I lost 145 pounds from a weight loss surgery. Hi". Isn't that cool? Like I said, it's been pretty easy for me so far. I haven't had a lot of pain...I'm one of the lucky ones, I know. I worked out a lot before surgery, had the two weeks of full liquids and one day of clear liquids. BTW, I took my ipod with me to surgery and it really calmed me down before and after. I filled it with soothing sounds and it really helped me out. I felt much better in the recliner in the room as opposed to the bed and think that helped a lot with gas pain. It was also a lot easier to get up and moving from a chair than from a bed. I have this bit of advice to those getting banded soon. I've read in many places on this forum about having an enema or something like it the day before surgery. I had heard that it really lessened the likelihood of gas pains. My doctor recommended I drink a bottle of Magnesium Citrate (aka, "The Bomb") around noontime the day before. I did so and I really emptied out. In fact, by the time I weighed in for surgery, I had lost 20 pounds!!!! At any rate, my gas pain, although kind of uncomfortable is not all that bad. So, in my opinion, even if the doctor doesn't order it, I say...it couldn't hurt. I prefer the Magnesium Citrate route. But you have to be close to home. It takes about four hours to clean you out. Ok, tmi, I know. One more thing about gas pain. Whenever I get a shooting pain, I jump up and walk around the room. It really helps. Another thing...cold liquids and ice chips make it worse. It's much better to go for the warm or tepid liquids. At the risk of giving Too much advice....I've got another suggestion for those of you who have to do clear liquids before and after surgery. To avoid feeling just miseably starved, go to GNC and get a few bottles of Isopure clear. It's not really clear, it's a drink in these lurid colors and flavors that has 40 grams of protein p/bottle. So if you sip it all day, you manage to stay pretty full. It's good post-surgery too, when you don't feel much like eating. :nervous For those of you who were chatting about the c-pap machine, I have the kind with just nasal pillows and find it easy to wear. I got used to it really quickly and it is completely silent. The first night I wore it, the room was so silent, my husband had to reach over to make sure I was still alive. lol. Libra...I received meds for nausea when I left the hospital. You clearly need them. Vomiting is the worst....I hope you feel better soon. Caroline...Are you the one that's losing 1.5 lbs every two days?!? Good going! That's awesome. My doc wouldn't let me get back to weight training for a month. I'm jealous that you get to do it sooner. BTW, I gained 5 pounds today. Waaannnnhhh. I'm sure that it's just swelling, edema, gas etc from surgery. Right? Bug...my doctor recommended Colace. I prefer Benefiber because it's so gentle. I just put a tsp in my morning drink. It's not detectable at all. But you may need "the bomb" of magnesium citrate if you're really clogged up. Well, I'm tired but happy that it's over and now the real work starts. :clap2:

    August Band Crew!!!!!

Bug (Tracey) - I have liquid pain medication -- Loritab. It's hydrocodone and acetemeniphen together. This is Day 4 post-op and I am feeling better and better. I am using less and less pain medication. I have shoulder pain that comes and goes, and the port site is still tender. I think that may take a few more days to resolve. My energy level is increasing as I am focused on eating enough protein. I am still doing mainly liquids, but have had some applesauce and yogurt. Ok, this might be TMI, but I was wondering about others, so I figure others might be wondering, too. I finally had a BM today -- first one since surgery. I needed a little help and used a glycerine suppository. Does anyone know what we are supposed to use for a stool softener. The ones I've used in the past are gel pills. I don't know if/how much weight I've lost, but the shorts I put on today seem a bit looser. I am not expecting a big weight-loss in these first weeks, but a few pounds lost would be great. Tomorrow I go back to work. I'm a bit apprehensive about it, but if I don't make the entire day, so be it. I am ready to get out -- 5 days at home (except for a couple of quick trips to the store) are enough for me. For those of y'all coming up on surgery in the next week or two, let me know if these updates are helpful. If they are, I'll keep doing them every couple of days for a while, and if not, I won't.

    july 2013 sleevers

thank you! i had to take a break and just rest. my gas has gotten better, although it took some time. i actually started taking the prescribed pepcid ac and voile...gas is better. go figure. i did throw up again today, but that was more of a gagging issue...im not getting all of the liquids i need since i was never a drinker to begin with. so my saliva is rather thick and it just felt yucky. once i get to heaving i hav to concentrate on calming down. tmi...sorry lol...but im feeling better. im getting so stuffed on purees. so my next goals are more liquids and learning my portions. i have NO idea wat size my sleeve is lol
  7. When i prolapsed, it was acute, happened out of nowhere, well maybe not, i was having reflux and they unfilled me a couple times and it didnt get better, so they unfilled me completely on a fri. and sat I got worse and by sunday morning i couldnt swallow my own salive and was bringing up blood, got totally dehydrated and dr H . admitted me thru the emergency room and did emergency surgery the following day. i was bringing up blood right up until they took me in the O.R. they were giving me something to spit it in...sorry if TMI, then dr. hoffman revised the band, but for some reason, partially my own im sure, i couldn't lose any more weight, even though i did great the first 2 yrs. losing 104 lbs. so since my revision in march, and until my sleeve nov.1. i have gained 40 lbs back. Now i am losing again. since being sleeved on mon.
  8. I am getting anxious to get back to doing some sort of physical activity too (not walking, I am not fond of it and it is to cold out), but I am just one week post op. I am going to my post op check Wednesday and I will ask. One bad thing I did do is I went back to work today and we had a lot of snow and I shoveled myself out. Not sure if I should tell my doctor I did that, I may get in trouble. A quick question, maybe TMI, I have had diarrhea since I started the liquid diet and I am usually constipated and take miralax regularly ( not since the diet though( so I am kind of don't want to take immodium, should I just wait it out and figure once I start eating stuff it should clear up?
  9. b-chocolate peanutbutter protein shake l-3/4 cup spinich chicken salad s-100 calorie pack d-1/2 cordon blue chicken breast really constipated (sorry TMI)....tried to eat some okra, corn and tomatoes for fiber (it's stuck!!!) egg salad--eggs, light miracle whip, black pepper chicken salad--just started using georgia's recipe---canned chicken, tostito's spinich dip, black pepper
  10. Good Morning! Ricks heart rate dropped into the 110 range this morning....I am feeling hopeful, that the meds are doing the work they are supposed to! We see the Dr. tomorrow. Christy--have you sat down and had a talk with your Dr. to see what options you have? I had several D&C's prior to my hysterectomy. It would eliminate some of the uterine lining, and maybe slow your bleeding. There are several intermediate measures that could be taken if you do not want the hysterectomy. Heck if it is just an ovarian cyst, you can have the entire ovary removed and still maintain fertility! I have also heard of them draining cysts. The hysterectomy will likely be the final step in the future to keep this from recurring. The cysts, even when removed, often return. But if you want more children, sit down across the desk from your Dr. and find a way. If they don't want to give you more options, or talk to you person to person, as opposed to looking at you through your knees as you are in the stirrups---it is time to find a new Dr!!! I know they don't recommend pregnancy in the first year of the band, but it has happened many a time! It would slow the ability for weight loss, but the band would still be there---waiting for you to be able to put it to work! I did several intermediate steps to my hysterectomy---not so much by choice, but for insurance reasons Dr.'s went through a stage where they avoided them at all costs (kind of like kids and tonsils). In my case a cancer diagnosis, ended the discussion. I think our family is being difficult now, you should have seen them then!!! I had a positive cancer diagnosis, and my GYN and my oncologist took a route, of putting me through 6 months of oral chemo PRIOR to surgery! Everyone wigged out! Then I had surgery, and did 6 sessions of infused therapy---and have not had any recurrance. This was done almost 5 years ago! I will say when you are ready---and comfortable with not wanting more children---it is a huge relief to finally have the surgery done! I really do love having the freedom from the problems I had been plagued with for years! I had endometriosis, and my periods, while extremely irregular, were horribly painful! At one point I was hospitalized with the pain from them, they used an internal probe --like they do to watch childbirth contractions, and the spasms I would have from cramps registered on it! I was glad to see it all GO AWAY!!! I have never had the issue of those organs making me the woman I am. I am no less of a woman now! It didn't affect my libido----I am still sexually active (ssshhhhh don't tell!). The only drawback to the surgery has been a ( I apologize in advance if this is TMI---but Christy needs info!) lack of natural lubrication. The feeling is there, the bodies natural response isn't always....but there are tons of options available, and it hasn't made a difference! I will be glad to PM you my # (any of you, for any reason!) if you want to talk about it. (((hugs))) While I know we can't dine on 900 calorie salads every day and lose weight, it is not going to hurt you on occasion. In fact as you reach a tight restriction, if you are one of the ones with a touchy band, and have trouble getting in adequate calories, it is good to know that you can bump them up every now and then, with something that works with your band. It is said to "shock" the metabolism, by pushing the calories on occasion. I do know there were days I expected to gain, after eating cake and ice cream at a party or something, and I would get on a losing streak....I have yet to figure this body out!!! Thanks so much for all the adivce on my in law fun. I know they love him, I know they are scared too. His sister that has been riding me so hard, is acting in fear, I have no doubt, she lost her husband to a brain tumor. I wish I had it in me right now to be their support too---I try. But my concern at that point was in projecting support for the decision my husband made concerning his own health! I called them all and updated them in the numbers dropping some. I got a chilly response, but am hoping as time goes on, and I keep them informed, as will he, that it thaws out again around here!!! Well off to see what we can do to entertain DH----he is not a happy housebound patient!!! Kat

    No Fill Bandsters

I haven't been on this site in months, but just wanted to chime in again for Mihela's sake and let her and well, all of you know that I'm just under a year out and still no fill. The loss has definitely slowed down, but i'm down about 90 pounds with no fill, so i'm very proud of that. I am hoping to lose another 10 pounds by my 1 year bandiversary, so fingers crossed. I can eat any type of food that i want to eat but the hunger monster in my head is still quiet. i don't constantly think about food and i rarely eat more than i should. (usually only that time of the month, sorry if that's tmi ) i still don't work out as much as i need to and while the weight loss has stalled, i haven't gained anything. i am still fat but I am so happy where i am that i'm honestly ok if i stay here for a while. it took me 30+ years to gain all of this weight, so i know it won't disappear over night i do have a lot of energy and i can walk everywhere without tiring or falling out of breath. life has really changed for me in the past 11 months. so, that's my no fill story so far. i hope it continues that way as I don't want to get a fill ever if i can help it.

    June 2007 Bandsters

Well the programs I need to use to finish my work before I am off are not working, so I guess I will post here while I wait. Maybe I will take my laptop with me and work after surgery - NOT! Clear liquids today - yuck - Surgery tomorrow WOOHOO! I am ready to go and looking forward to mushies! My 14 year old has asked if he can spend the night with me in the hospital, so we are going to ask when I get to my room. He said he wants to eat hospital food - LOL! The 4 year old keeps asking why I need to go to the hospital and have the doctor cut on me. It is tough to explain that I need this to be healthy. My husband is doing better - he was struck by gas and constipation. He was able to relieve the constipation and pass the gas (TMI :faint:), so he is feeling much better. I am worried that he isn't eating enough, but he seems to be functioning okay. I think he is waiting for me to be able to eat again. I hope everyone having surgery today does well! GOOD LUCK

    June 2007 Bandsters

Hey, I thought I was really in pain. The suture spots were a little sore but I really thought I was in pain....it was gas. Somehow I figured out how to relieve some of that pressure (I know, tmi) and now I don't even feel like I had surgery at all, I feel 100%. Once I get this tether ball off that the doctor attached, which by the way was the most annoying part of it all, I'll be great. I had to advise some new freshmen today so it was kind of hard but that was apparently due to the gas. I should be able to work a full day on Monday judging by the way I feel right now. I haven't even been hungry yet and have to remind myself to drink something, so we'll see how this goes. Congrats to the latest bandsters, let us know how you're doing.

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

Check your Protein levels...how much are you getting each day? AND your Fluid....almost more important than the protein. Also, and not to share too much tmi....could it be your TOM? And it could just be that something you ate, just did not sit well inside of you and caused you to bloat. Water, water, water. Try to not eat too many processed things. Just because you don't know exactly what is in it unless you cook it yourself. I'm just trying to give you different ideas to help. May just be something with you. You may still be bloated from surgery. I am also 4 weeks out from surgery and there are days I feel more "puffed" out than usual. Honestly for me, those are days when I haven't had enough water. And my body is holding on to what it has and not giving it up. Hang in there:)
  16. Kat, I got that catalog in the mail today too!! Some of the stuff in there is funny! It made me realize that I need new glasses when I couldn't read what the t shirts said!! I know this is tmi, but I took a poop so big I bet I lost 30 pounds!!! No wonder I have been feeling uncomfortable!! I am home from work and walgreens, but seeing Pamela's post reminded me I didn't get the oatmeal that they had on sale!! I have a great and easy oatmeal cookie recipe that tastes like candy almost. If you want it holler!! I hope Tracyk cleaned all day! If you are done, will you come up to my house? I will even take you to dinner for your effort!!! I think I am going to take a bit of a nap, talk to you guys soon!!
  17. :cheer2::lost2lbs:Good morning ladies- I have a fun filled day planned...NOT I get to spend the entire day with a group of people I work with at some kind of govt agency in Houston today to get some kind of new ID card to be able to get into our job site....thanks to the coast guard and homeland security. Anyway, I hear it is a longgg process so needless to say the last thing I need to do is drink a bunch of Water and stay in the govt bathroom the whole day. That sucks...I love my H2O. I will just have to drink it when I get home and pee all night long tonight. TMI I know. BTW-the scale is on a downward spiral again. Hopefully I will be in the 17somethings in a few days. More than I ever expected when I got the band. Amazing! I am not going to change my ticker until then. Have a great day friends....
  18. Well girls up and checking road conditions, does not appear to be any new snow, just lots of ice. Hopefully they will be working on sanding that. I think I have everything I need packed---as well as everything my Mom usually forgets!!! She gets flustered very easily, always has---and this surgery is somewhat risky---so she gets VERY flustered, and gets so busy getting Dads things all together and just so, she tends to forget about herself! She has always been that way--now it is Dad she is doting on, not us kids!!! I sound so cruel when I complain about the arrangements, we just keep totally different hours, and they have their ways, as I have mine. I sleep in total darkness! They leave the bathroom light on, so they can see around the motel room. And they have a travel clock with huge red numbers, and mom has lights on her CPAP---it is nothing big, but it is light as day in the room to me!!! Not to mention they are down before 9 and up at 4. And if one of them is up in the night, then they have a conversation! And the kicker, the seriously difficult one for me, is making sure I am wearing something, that if I kick off covers I am covered! I worry about the same thing with our get together! TMI--but this girl is used to sleeping in nothing. So.....before May I will be jammie shopping!! Well I have been chatting with you while I let my car warm up----actually letting the van warm up. Decided for several reasons to take it. My car is so low, Dad has to strain to get out once he is in, and they don't want any stress on his neck at all. Plus I have chains for the van, it runs a 15" tire, and they don't fit the 17's on my car...so the van is warming---and it has more space to warm!!! So I am shaking myself this morning, and telling myself I won't always have my parents who are wonderful loving people, so I am going to enjoy this time with them. Someday I will wake up in the night wishing I could hear them chatting. With that in mind, it is not my tip day--but if your parents are living call them and tell them you love them. I am worried for my Dad--please remember him in your prayers. Will try to check in from the motel tonight! Welcome to the newbie, finding me----Walmart even has summer stuff in now here, and there is a foot of snow on the ground!!! But I usually by work out capris at Target--love them!! I find them near the lingerie dept. Welcome! Hugs to all my Violets~~~ Kat
  19. Denise, your DD and Dimitri will be in my prayers, and have been added to the Azted First United Methodist Church's prayer chain. My Kinsey was a preemie....I know the fear, and the worries you are facing. They do miracles! I mentioned awhile back a little girl I took care of for many years is heading into her Senior year of high school, and just received a soccer scholarship---and she was 1 pound and 7 ounces at birth!!! She was one of the original babies they tested the surfactant in her lungs. She has no known problems from her low birth weight! She did have some issues with the roof of her mouth not stretching out as she grew, since she was being tube fed, but as soon as they got her sucking----it fixed itself---and she is a beauty!!! Keep the faith, and we will keep praying!!! As for the FUPA thing------yep I had it too! My PS lipo'd the pubic mound, and did tighten and lift the skin. He said that is not always possible without pre treatment of laser hair removal. There is no muscle in the pubic mound so once it gets fatty it stays that way---areas reduce better if there is a fit muscle beneath them to help burn fat. Following my chemo, not lots of hair grew back, so it made it simple for him to remove some excess skin, following the lipo and lift the mons as he did the TT. He said he seldom does a TT without at least trying to address the mons---or results will be as you say----strange looking. As for the fatty upper torso----bandsters will have more issue with that than others, because lipo has to be carefully done around the port and tubing. I can feel all my ribs, but my left side is either going to be fuller or is still much more swollen than the right. The left is where the muscle repair was though. I don't think my Dr. billed my insurance any differently for the mons lift to be honest....as I too doubt that would have been covered. Not to get into the TMI category----but the lift is AMAZING!!!! Suffice it to say WOW!!! Haydee, I know we discussed the situation with Juan in the car---but did you say he would or would not do counceling? And I was wondering how his Mom is taking this. Are you still working with her through it all at the event place? Pamela---fingers crossed for the IRB.......we will send not just you PURPLE POWER but them as well so they know what to do!!! Enjoy your friends!!! I am still very close friends with my oldest childhood friend Sharon. We have been friends since 3rd grade!!! She has moved to Texas--outside Dallas, so we don't see a lot of one another. She is totally all about her DH's family. She doesn't even see much of her folks, or her friends. Disappointing---but it is what it is! Tracy, the new pics are great, you look wonderful! I am like your sister, I hate tight things! TracyK, what are you and Macy going to do today while you "recover"? Michelle----let the fun begin, summer has struck!!! Terry---so are any of your beads going to be compatible??? LOL! Jane---how ya feeling? Emotionally? Physically? Today, I wanted to mow, but something was going on last night, and seems to still be...from about 4 this morning, we had cops looking in yards with spotlights---I know it was happening, because Rick got called out, so I was home alone!!! They are still cruising the alley---so Kinsey and I are staying in, until we head to town, we are meeting my folks for lunch. Will check in with you girls later!!! Kat
  20. Hey Violets~ It is 3:50am and I am up...and have been up since about 3. I slept yesterday until noon 30 and now I am paying the price for that. Plus, I've pee'd all night. I am very swollen everywhere from the IV and all the liquids. Plus...uuummm...gassy! They gave me a shot of Pepcid and something else, plus Zophran for the nausea and all that = gas! Sorry, TMI I know. So I am up watching All My Children. Janie~ I sent you a PM:wink_smile: I hope that spider is LONG GONE! Spiders generally don't bother me too much. Not a fan or anything. What I hate are Palmetto bugs (big dark brown cockroach things, popular in the desert), and any lizard, rat, mouse thingy. 2 September's ago (2005), I had a big fat desert rat and her boyfriend move in. They came in through the kitchen...little bitch ate through the wall. I moved into a hotel for a week. The company came and set the traps...and caught 'em. Bastards were as big as my feet! Oh yeah, and I'll start crying ASAP if I see a snake! Good luck on the garage sale Haydee! I am gonna have another mini one in a few weeks. We've got a TV, surround sound, some other electronics, and misc household items since we put the 2 houses together. Kat~ Sorry about the wind I sent your way. It was blustering here for a week and a half, and it is finally quite. It is supposed to get up to near 100 tomorrow...and then back down to low 90's mid week...when more wind returns. So what can I ramble on about in the middle of the night??? Susanne has an appointment @ 8:30 for an MRI, then we are going to have breakfast somewhere...then maybe a movie. I feel pretty good. A bit crampy...a bit of bleeding...and a kick ass sore throat. Other than that I feel pretty good. I may crash out this afternoon, since I've slept sooo poorly all night. I have never ever ever not been able to sleep. Don't like it much. OK...I'll stop the ramble before I lose the post. Off to play scrabble... xoxoxoxox
  21. Michelle~ WOOFREAKINHOO!!!:Banane20::wink2::Banane20::eek::Banane20::Banane20::Banane20::Banane20::Banane20: I am glad your losing...cause I sure as hell am not! Good for you honey! Tracy~I loved it...and yes I know about the POV and the new nom's too. I don't think Pinky is gonna fare well this week, but crazier things have happened. Good for you getting a small unfill. I've been there...hated puking all the time. Long boring day for me, but at least it was a day off. I am feeling VERY anemic this week, and bleeding heavy (sorry for the TMI, but you are all grownups, you can take it:tt2:). And this is not my period. CANT WAIT FOR THIS TO GO AWAY! OK...I came home from the training, ate a pile of strawberries and whip cream (naughty naughty), took a nap for an hour, and now I am off to jazzercise! BBL xoxoxoxoxo

    Puking: Post-Op vs. Pre-Op

I had a dumping episode in my car once when I FOOLISHLY bought a Mocha and an apple (and a small can of Pringles, hands up, I'll confess) in a moment of weakness, which led to sliming and throwing up mouthfuls of chewed apple and Pringles. Soz TMI. I hadn't eaten lunch, I was on my way to give a lecture so I knew I wouldn't be home for ages and so in a moment of crazy weakness I stopped at the servo. I bought an apple (pre-surgery it would have been chocolate) and thought 'how bad can a Mocha be? It's basically coffee with a little bit of chocolate'). How wrong I was! I ate the apple and, I'm ashamed to say, the Pringles and they were fine. Then I started drinking the Mocha. Made it all the way through and then started to feel AWFUL. I was in a car on a motorway and couldn't stop w/o being late for my lecture. So the sliming (gross saliva) started and I was throwing it up into the Mocha cup, one hand on the wheel. Luckily it was in small quantities but I reckon I filled half of the Mocha Cup. But I was very quiet and discreet in the car so, its not like regular vomiting. I have never done this before and I will NEVER do it again. No more Pringles and mochas for this girl. Sometimes ya gotta learn the hard way. Sent from my SM-G930F using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. A little background... So a big reason for me to have WLS was to be healthy enough to get pregnant. A year ago this month I had my first appointment with a fertility specialist. At that time my cycle was anywhere between 55-80 days (I think). I remember that they gave me medicine in November to bring on my period so they could do 3 day blood work, and it still took 11 days before my period actually came. They determined my fibroids were so large (as well as small) and numerous that I needed to have them removed before proceeding with treatment. I was also diagnosed with PCOS (although my PCP had diagnosed it 2 years previous as well). I had the open surgery to remove the fibroids in Jan. 09 and my next 2 cycles were fairly normal (around 36 days). Then I started really packing on the weight and had an 80 day cycle. I began researching weight loss surgery (there were other factors as well). Well, for the NSV... This month I had a 28 day cycle! After the last two years, it is just so amazing. I actually recorded the date I thought I ovulated and it was exactly 14 days into the cycle. I am so excited and hopeful that this will continue.

    July 2011 Bandsters!

I did drink protein and had pudding and applesauce. So I'm going to concentrate on water today before I worry about anything else. Amy - can't thank you enough for heating pad advice and support. Last night was hard. I tried to lay down in bed last night but bronchitis still bad and I couldn't stop coughing. TMI - I'm still getting green stuff out of my lungs despite all the antibiotics. Physician assistant writing me script for stronger pain killer so maybe I can sleep. Still chewing gas x.
