When Was Your First Bm Post Op?
cantwaittolose replied to TiredOfChubRub's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well here's some TMI.....day 7 and it was very painful and bloody and then after that it's been soft, a little runs but not bad. When I went in for my post op with Dr. he asked about BM and before I could even tell him he said "a little consipated? and was there blood"....apparently this is "normal". Anyway, all is fine and no more pain, it was only that 1 time. -
Being Tested For C. Diff. (Clostridium Difficile) Ugh!

Hello #4, Well it happens from strong antibiotics or you can get it from someone else who has it. For me I was on heavy antibiotics so it wiped out my natural balance in my intestines/bowels. The worse part is I'm not contagious if I have it so I have to be extremely careful so no one else in my family gets it. Craziness! The antibiotic caused it and get this...what heals it is yet another antibiotic. It can cause bigger issues if it's left too long to fester so if I do have it, I'm sure hoping we caught it early enough to not cause colitis or other issues. I had to look this up because naturally the surgeon only mentioned it didn't explain it all. I'm sure she will once we know for sure. It's just not pleasant. It causes cramps or pain in the abdomin but, my period is now 8 weeks late as well so I thought at first that was part of it too. Hoping to hear soon. I think I threw the woman off in the lab. She gave me the sample cup, toilet guard, baggie and told me to put the date and time I did the sample. Then bring it back to her and they'll test it. I think she thought I was going home. Heck...didn't take long to give the sample. TMI I know but, that's how sick I'm feeling with this right now. Yuck! Besides if they have to culture it for 3 days I didn't want to wait yet another day. Thank you for your support. I appreciate it. I keep saying....this will all be worth it. It's for the best....as I squeeze my cheeks and pray to the porcelain Gods LOL -

When Was Your First Bm Post Op?

I went through the same thing. I felt perfectly fine too. I was told by my Doctor to take Magnesium Milk but it tastes terrible. I finally went on my own on the 8th day (I use a bidet -- definitely helps), but it was just ED -- Explosive Diarrhea, TMI... (I'm sorry!) -
When Was Your First Bm Post Op?
theoldmusicbox replied to TiredOfChubRub's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did not go #2 for 11-12 days post-op. Dr said not to worry, but if I was concerned take 1 low dose stool softener every other day or fiber supplement until it happened. However (tmi) that first one I would say was the closest I could come to giving birth. I almost cried, and when I saw it, was not really surprised since it was almost 2 weeks of number 2 all at once. Now, if I haven't went for 2 days, I start the low dose softener, and all s well. -
It's Been A Week Already!?
jessicakesbanded posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's been a week already?! Holy cow. Lots and lots of down time, and quite a bit of pain, but I'm finally feeling a lot better (and TMI, but A LOT better after my first BM last night lol). I have my first post-op appointment tomorrow, but I did weigh-in today..... I lost 7.2 lbs! In one week! SEVEN POINT TWO! craziness. That brings me to a total of 14 lbs, and only 56 more to go lol. I am not expecting a huge loss next week, but I am aiming for 1-2 lbs. Did anyone get to start mushies on week 2? I don't feel like I have any swelling around my band, and I am able to get all my Protein and Water in every day, so I am just hoping I can start on some semi-real food... and maybe start getting some Fiber back in to my diet ASAP lol. woo hoo! If any of y'all have a youtube account and would like to follow my journey on there, or have me follow you, please subscribe! My username is jessicakesbanded and I make update videos at least every week. -
How Long After Surgery Did You Wait To Have Sex?
Lilu replied to jennrus's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told to wait for 40 days. I have read that others have done it sooner but the doctor want to make sure that I didn't do any movement that could cause any problems. So we wait for full sex and I just did my part to keep him happy. I know TMI. I just want you to know that it was worth it because I went back in with a very bad infection and then I got my period. So by the time we did it I was 30 lbs less. Since then he can not keep his hand off me. -
I officially vomited before I finished my food. I am 2 months out and I have never fully vomited. I spit up and I get slimmies but today I full on barfed. The only thing I have done differently today is skip lunch. I just forgot to eat lunch. When I came home, I had 2-3 oz of pork loin (very tender-I've ad it before) 1 oz cole slaw (also had it before). This is weird. I feel fine. Not sure if it was because I skipped lunch. Anyone have any thoughts?

From the album: Fat, depressed & unhealthy.
I thought bandage dresses are supposed to be flattering? Tightening and holding everything up. I bought this beautiful one from BeBe. Yeah I thought at first, without looking in the mirror. "ya ha ha! I look good!" OMg until I saw these super unflattering pictures. Pooch. and love handles. wow. TMI, but does anyone gain weight on their hoo ha too?! dammit. do they do lipo on that section?!!!!!!!!!! -
Again, sorry if this is TMI, but I am so frustrated. I am currently at my heaviest. I am used to the chafing during the summer (thanks goodness for chub rub gel), but now I have a new issue. I am constantly sweaty down there- all the time! My kitty is sweaty (a bit stinky) and the skin under the belly. It i driving me cray. I have gone so far as to start using anti-antiperspirant/deodorant to try and make it better. Now, to top it all off, I seem to be sweating so much, I have clogged sweat glands. These are the most painful things I have ever had, and if they don't go away with siitz baths, I am going to have to have them lanced by a doctor. Aside from the pain & embarrassment factor, I am left wondering: What type of doctor would you go to in order to have your vagina lanced- a regular doctor, a dermatologist, or my gynecologist? Again, sorry about the TMI, but I have no where else to turn. I mean, this isn't something you can bring up around the water-cooler.

I was sleeved on 8/10 and so far so good until today. I was abled to drink more so i decided to aim for the 64 oz. Ive been drinking the Isopure Alpine punch for protein, plain room temp water, sf popcicles, diluted juice. Well today i decided to drink the ensure that i got from the hospital (6oz). Im not sure if that gave me diarrhea or just the increase in liquids. Either way i'm terrified of getting dehydrated. Any suggestions?

I actually had several experiences of what I would call dumping. The first time was after drinking my first cup of milk and the second time was recently after eating some extremely spicy chicken. I got flushed, hot/sweaty, and extremely nauseous with cramping and the meals went straight through me and came back out almost undigested. (*tmi).

Today Is My 90 Days, Long Read About My Experience.
crazyrai posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Well today is exactly my 90 day sleeve anniversary.. I wanted to write about how my experience has been. The good news is that I’m down 55 pounds, well according to the doc only 47 but that was with clothes on : I had a very long recovery time my doc had me out of work for 4 weeks, and boy I could have used 5 just to get the hang of things. I had 8 holes in me 4 on the left and 4 bigger ones on the right, the big ones hurt it felt like I was getting ripped from the inside out. I’m just sitting here thinking about literally dreading trying to move, whether it be get up, turn over, go potty, walk stairs, cough or sneeze like I said it was pretty brutal. Now I’m pretty much pain free except if I do hard core ab work, I can feel it start to get angry.. Last week I was cleared to eat regular food, I had already began slowly testing the waters the last few weeks. It’s really a learning process, if I eat too quick I throw up, if I don’t chew I throw up, if the food just doesn’t agree with me guess what I throw up. I usually throw up once or twice a week, doc said it’s normal. I have something else TMI! I have noticed that when I have to potty #2 it’s no joke! Like I need to go right away or else I’m afraid what will happen so when they see me get up and leave at work they know I’m either sick or in the potty . My doc said could be a few things, no Fiber in my diet well duh I don’t eat much, or could be from gallbladder being removed, so they should have told me that in the fine print, cuz the first time I was like holy moly!. Eating, I know for sure I’m not getting enough Protein all I can do is try. I have tried all kinds of Protein shakes and I’m just over them gross!! I do drink my milk so that’s better than nothing. I do feel hungry but my tummy never growels, and if I drink something it goes away.. It’s just hard because I keep thinking hey it’s been like 8 hours maybe I should eat. I’ve been pretty behaved with the eating not much snacking, I do need my ice cream but I can’t eat much of it.. I was really craving sour cream and onion chips well not anymore after I threw them up…. And pizza, oh my dear pizza I missed you, on Saturday I decided it was time for some pizza and oh my it was even better after 4 months, I did my best to get it down my tummy but didn’t happen but gosh it was good. Going out to eat or ordering in hasn’t been much of a problem, I have noticed the kids menu’s are all crabs no wonder we are all fat, all chicken tenders and mac and cheese! Chinese has been the best to me, I can get a small thing of beef and broccoli it will last me 2 meals. I love me some egg fu yung, and I didn’t really care for it before. I haven’t had a drink in 4 months, or bread…When it comes to bread and foods that will puff my tummy, I think of my tummy as valuable space I could add some meat and veggie to it or 2 bites of bread and not get any satisfaction from it. I have had very small amount of rice in my stuffed green peppers or cabbage rolls. I haven’t tried any Pasta I heard that is a hit or miss for the tummy too. I don’t really crave things, it’s more like hey I bet that would taste good, right now I kinda want to eat Swedish meatballs for some reason it’s hard to explain. I do need my sweet tea and ice cream… I had a small piece of a cookie last week and I could taste the butter and sugar right away it was like my taste buds had opened up, guess that’s what happens when you don’t eat crap food anymore J I really follow the no drinks for 30 and during or after eating, I did make the mistake twice of drinking while eating and it does hurt lesson learned. I don’t have much else to add except my butt is hanging to the ground I need to pull my pants over my gut I should really get some suspenders Oh I do workout, I do weights 2-3 times a week for 45 mins. I also play tennis 2x a week and golf every Friday. I just want to get rid of this damn weight and feel normal. I know that I have lost weight but I can’t see any difference I look like me, I’m sure someday I’ll wake up and be like wow I look pretty dang good. I don’t feel like I have more energy which has to do with my insomnia, but I don’t snore anymore and the hubby is way happy. That was my story so far, I’ll update when it’s my 6 month in November. Thanks for reading this long rant.. Rai. -
A Period After 6 Years Without One... Really?!
unknown54678997 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Warning...may be TMI ... I've not had a period for 6 years. The first 5 years I had an IUD and in the past 7 mth I've had an implanon inserted in my arm. Both of these devices stopped my period....until now.... I'm 19 days post op and got my period 2 days ago...Unlucky, strange or normal considering what my body has been through? -
2 Days Before My Surgery-And I Cheated

So yesterday I admitted to cheating on my 10 day liquid diet. My sister told me about Epsom salt as a laxative. So I said what the heck, let me try it. So far so good to spare everyone the tmi all I'm going to say is that its a bit gassy -
I Can't Wait To Not Have To...
dexter replied to BrickHouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't wait to not have a rash under my boobs (or find food in my bra when I take it off) I can't wait to stop accidentally bleaching the belly line of my shirts when I clean the kitchen counters Ahh, not holding my breath to put on a shoe. To not have little kids tell me I must be a good cook because I'm fat (actually happened) TMI but to not fear crushing my hubby during 'adult activities' And this is a big one for me: to NOT make fun of myself before someone else can. -
Milk of magnesia. Just don't plan on going anywhere that day I was do badly constipated I wanted it surgically removed. I know... TMI, but really the pain while on the potty was horrible. But then I had some MOM and I felt so much better. Good luck. Btw, it gets better

Is anyone out there (I am 6 weeks post op tomorrow) suffering from extreme constipation? I know this is TMI, but I feel like I am so backed up that anything I eat is now just sitting at the top of my sleeve and if I wanted to throw up I could. I can't take this. I am miserable. I am taking stool softeners (2 twice a day). I have held my iron for about 5 days now as well to see if that made things improve.

I drink decaf coffee several times a week. TMI, but it helps me avoid constipation issues. I have been almost completely decaf since surgery. I have had maybe 3 cups of caffeinated drinks, including tea. I had a really tough time giving up my diet coke before surgery, so I am avoiding caffeine because I know that was the culprit.

Never had one before. Sorry if this is TMI but it won't go away. Any advice/recommended products? I heard that if you ice it, it will shrink, but it didn't work for me. It's hard, painful, and really uncomfortable! I need to poop but I'm afraid to! I don't think I'm going to eat anymore until this goes away and I can poop! This is so embarrassing!

I think the gas is the problem, maybe TMI but I started to pass gas so I guess that's a good sign! Lol. I'm going to try to walk a lot today, hopefully that helps. I walked a few hours after surgery and I think I over did it, thought for sure I was gonna throw up but I had the nurse give me IV zofran. I made sure I got a script for that for coming home! I have to have some protein shakes today, hope that goes ok. Thanks for the input and good luck!

I was just doing some math in my head and came up with.... Never mind. TMI...
