NSV = crossing like legs? That was my very first NSV! [emoji122]

I hate it when people post just to post.....

NOTE: I am not responsible for typos, rambling, forgetting someone, making no sense at all, or licking the dust off computer screen! Blood sugar dropped to 50 earlier. Ugh. Okay, here goes: Anyone with a NSV - whooo hoooo! Totally cool feeling. I hope all of you with sick kids, bad teeth, etc. get better, get drugs, or get yanked. Whichever works for your situation!! Okay, I survived the party and thanks for all the support on my pre-op. I'm not hungry. Weird. I passed up 2 freaking cakes, cupcakes, a chocolate fountain, potato salad and crab rangoon dip. It was a mighty battle and then I come here and find that I gotta figure out FB ....eeek. Boy, kick a girl when she's down. I'll try FB but it'll take help please!! I'm computer stoooopid. Or maybe this is an evil plot to get away from me....:crying: I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was good, not really hungry, just worrying about blood sugar drops. I'm hanging on 'til Thurs. I've been really looking at all of your avis and reading your signatures. WTG, ladies! Your success inspires me and helps keep me from freaking out. Thanks for sharing!! Beth reminded me to look at the success stories and before and after pics. Wow, amazing. Ebony, saw you there, you go girl! Fanny, your dress pic was hot! I'll join you there soon. I'm committed to this or maybe I should be committed :crying:...and now I can't remember how to spell committed...forgive me...brain misses carbs . Geez, don't tell my mom - she'd be horrified (teacher)... Ramble over. Goodnight all. See ya tomorrow and I'll give Fb a whirl...I think . TPG

Yay! Sounds good to me! Ebony, men are idiots. Enjoy your NSV and understand that the male species is something we'll never understand. Lulu, your arms are amazing. Can I have them when you're finished with them? :w00t: TPG

I hate it when people post just to post.....

passive aggressive. i'd let her re-do ALL the work, let her start making mistakes and sit back silently & smile or grin (well you know what).... i hate that style, i'd rather a full on bitch than play around games. love the suit & congrats all on the NSV's. it's not raining - so i'm going to be a full on country chick today and put my ipod on and ride my tractor & mow , and mow & mow some more. hope i don't run into any snakes:) happy hump day!

Good Morning Gang Didn't get on the computer last night since DS & Family are here - they swam - we had pizza (1.5 Pieces) - watched slum dog millionaire (EXCELLENT MOVIE) Kath - Mushies Refired Beans are the best with a little low fat cheese on top - and even mashed potatoes - I use instant w/skim milk and no Water to boost the protein.. I did still have restriction at that point so 1/2 cup even 3/4 c isn't bad Meredith - Glad you enjoyed your semeniar - yep after being on lbt you are more informed that most.. I know I impressed my doc w/my knowledge.. Phyl - I really think that you should be able to get the leg plastic sugery covered by insurance if your doc submits it the right way... It is for medical reasons and not cosmetic.. Linda - Even if the scales don't move one week I think our bodies redistribute the fat and we lose inchs even though we don't lose poundage. Isn't it great to say my clothes are to big - greatest nsv !!! Julie - you sound like you are getting stronger everyday... My Mother's day menu - BBQ chicken - Mac salad - Aspauragus - this is for my for the girls - and the boys will have steak and baked potaotes.. Ok I should be on the computer to nite as dil going to meet friends - DS will be watching basketball - if not for sure on Saturday - the kid are going to see the other mom and I will have the house to myself.. Will ck back later...

LauraK - I told him to get out - ;0) and this time he did ;0) I just chuckle to myself - that he keeps calling to know if I'm ok - lol I'm 55 been on my own since 16 - Ya I'm ok.. I'm a big girl :0).. WTG on your walk... Yep aint it amazing on what we can do today opposed to a yr ago.. I'm still amazed today.. I think those things are the best NSV's - It' what keeps me motivated.. Charlene - WTG on getting up w/o support - we have an exercise like that in bootcamp - the 1st time they did it - I wasn't too good at it - but we did it last week and I am better - so these classes are helping me.. WTG on your food last night - I'm an enchilada eater or chili reno - I too have to have red meat weekly or at least every couple weeks - and I am liking chicken more now too.. Eva - Yep I can feel fall coming - well as much fall as we get - but evenings & mornings are pretty good - it's suppose to be hot here for the next 2 days 110+

39 here and raining -- guess it's the weather Great had over the weekend - yes, feels and smells like Spring, but oh my are my legs and feet hurting - just aching soo bad. Just a quick check - very quiet here. Phyl, glad you checked in -- nice that you stay so busy -- funny store about the German guy -- can't believe he wouldn't know to cook a hot dog. And never had a toasted marshmellow? Wow that is amazing. Hve fun this weekend with Jodi and Janet. Glad for those of you having a three day weekend - not us - my first 3 day weekend isn't until April 22 -- my birthday and Good Friday -- I keep saying it's about time my company makes my birthday a holiday. LOL. Speaking of that, happy birthday Melissa -- hope it was a good one - hope you enjoyed it and relaxed. Our move across the parking lot (at work) has been postponed for another week -- was suposed to be this Sat. now changed to 29th. No biggie for me - not much for me to move. Just my personal stuff. This is my first day of 8 to 5 - so far so good -- have my ultrasound in the morning. Thanks for the infor. Laura -- I didn't know that about the blood pressure being a problem. Mine is fine usually -- but now I have to watch getting too low -- I usually run 110/70 -- sometimes 110/65. Before lb 140/85 or 90. So that's another NSV. Have to fast after midnight and then they said I have to have a second ultrasound with full bladder - yuck -- so uncomfortable -- they said it may take awhile to fill it - I said, "no way, one cup of coffee and I'll be full." LOL. We'll see. Great - have fun in Denver -- hope you get out. Enjoy that bbque tonight -- sounds great -- I'll tell my DH to get ready to bbque here tomorrow maybe. LOL. We'll see, heard it's supposed to turn really cold like a high of 8 degrees. Gotta run -- later. Linda

Hello everyone! I'm back from my trip and happy to see all of you are doing well. Long, congratulations on another great accomplishment -- I think you already deserve the gold medal, but if Janet is making you do another 10 pounds for the gold, I know you will do it. Such a great inspiration! Julie, hope you have other people helping out making pies and ice cream as it sounds like a lot for just you to do! I'm sure it will be a great time. Sounds like fun. Wish I could be there too. Meredith, just another week! That will go by fast! You're doing great, and I know you'll do great after your surgery too. I loved that you "cheated" with olives. LOL. I too love olives and pickles and crave them sometimes, so I completely understand. I was like you when I did my 2 week liquid diet -- I felt great and was so sick of food by that time that I too was happy to get started with my new life. Pam, so happy that you are feeling better. I also love that your boys said "wow" at last. I think it's true that when we're with people everyday, it is harder to notice the changes. I'm sure you'll get lots and lots of compliments at your reunion. Have a great time. Laura, what a nice experience you had with that woman. It's nice to talk in person to another bandster, isn't it? I have one friend that I met on LBT that had the same surgeon as me and we try to get together after the support group meetings to talk and we e-mail several times a week. I guess we're "lap band sisters." Janet, all I can say is "Wowzeeee!" You look fantastic and soooo skinny -- I'd never ever guess you were ever a fat chick. Love that color of your blouse on you -- so pretty with your skin and hair. Laura, so sorry you are still bothered with TOM. Oh my goodness, that's the ONE advantage of getting old. I don't miss that at all. Charlene, so sorry about your hubby's surgery being postponed, but have faith that it will happen before summer is over. Glad they are so careful so your DH is not in danger. Love your Dr. Garth -- saw some new shows recently - he and his dad are great with their patients. Well, I went to the Lake of Ozarks and behaved pretty well, had a delish margarita one night and a couple of other frozen drinks (someone brought one of those tubs you mix with vodka) and they tasted really great (considering I've had no alcohol since probably Nov. or Dec. LOL. I only had two meals that were not strictly on my plan. One was a chopped salad at an Italian restaurant that has a famous parmesean salad dressing and we went there ESPECIALLY for that salad. But I ordered a small and didn't touch the roll or butter, so that was a victory for me. That same night we met some other friends at a pizza place and the only thing I could order was some pasta with a pink sauce with shrimp, so I ate the shrimp and had a few bites of the pasta and then I offered it to another girl who ate some and so I wouldn't eat the rest I opened the salt shaker and dumped enough in it that would make me not want it. But I was bad and didn't get any exercise in (four days). But the good new is, is that my shoulder which has been bothering me for almost 2 months didn't hurt today when I went back to the gym, so I think that 4 days rest was what it needed to finish healing. So, that's a good thing. I won't weigh until my regular day on Tues., so I hope I did okay. But I had several NSV which I want to share. One of my friends I've always thought of as "thin" gave me an outfit to try on. She said, "it's a little snug on me, but I think it will fit you, so try it on. If you like it you can have it." I said, "oh, I don't think that will fit ME." But OMG, it DID! I couldn't believe it. However, like everyone else, when I look in the mirror, I still see the old me, not the new me when I look in the mirror. Well, after that, there was no stopping me. One of the girls had set up a fashion show at the Dress Barn at the outlet mall and I was shocked at what cute clothes Dress Barn has! Well, to say the least, I spent the most money (by a large margin). I was so busy trying on clothes that I could probably have counted it as exercise (only kidding). But too many cute things and I made it into a size 16 without elastic!! Oh what a thrill! It's been over 10 years since I've had on any pants without elastic. So I'm happy happy now. LOL. And, I was able to wear Large tops and even some mediums. That's a big difference from 3X and 4X I was wearing in January. Just had to share all this good news with my friends here on LBT. Thanks to you all for your support every day. I love you all. Linda

Arlene - NSV - getting up off the floor unassisted. YIPPEE That truly is progress. I still avoid getting on the floor b/c of new knee. Just not sure what it will do yet. As you can all see, I'm reading and commenting. Someone needs to junk up the thread when Karen is gone.

Ok...I am going to jump into this group. As Long said, our June, 2008 group is not very active and we do not stay in touch on a daily basis. I just kind of bounce around on this board and have been feeling like I don't have a place to belong. I want to touch base each day with people I feel I KNOW. Don't get me wrong....love the girls in the June group, just need more contact. I get your addiction transfer, Janet. I, too, rely on LBT quite a bit but feel that it is a healthy, informative and positive addiction! Loved your "commercial" photo, Janet. Those white slacks and top looked great on you. I have been having fun lately filling up my closet with winter clothes and also been getting some great deals on summer ones (heading south for a couple of months this winter). Last week I was 4# from goal but had surgery on 9/30 and gained 7#. Not worried though. Figured that would happen. Other than being extremely sore from surgery, and very swollen, I feel like a new woman. I have had so much energy. ALL my aches and pains have diminished. A year ago I could hardly get out of bed without wincing. I am wearing size 8 jeans and will need to order size 6 soon as I can pull the size 8 down without unzipping them. So many NSV's over the last few months. I have a problem....don't ever want to feel like I'm bragging so most of the time I am afraid to share. Weird, huh? Guess it was the way I was raised. Anyway, want to join your thread....I feel the need to have more contact on a daily basis. You guys go ahead and take a vote...let me know if I made it in?

Good morning all~ Tightness must be in the air! Yesterday had liquids all day, then tried to eat a yogurt with tiny bits of granola in it- just air escaping the whole time. You know the kind that is not a burp per se but an involuntary air thing? After attempting 3 small bites I had to put it down. Just from that I needed 3 tums and another prilosec. I am drinking liquids fine. Only thing that I did yesterday was take a second dose of my allergy medicine. Antihistamines do "dry" mucosa and maybe that's what it is. Cheri, do you take anything? When DH is on call, I don't cook. The times when I have cooked for him- he gets stuck at the hospital until 2am. When I don't cook... he was home by 7! I had a cold chick fil a sandwich for him..LOL and some bean salad I made yesterday. He was thrilled to be home and glad I didn't cook. : ) My Dad is having surgery today. The urologist wants to re do the stint and check things out in the ureter. They are considering taking out the nephrostomy tube and they want to see if the tumor is shrinking b/c they cannot do a CT scan with contrast. (His kidney can't handle the contrast). His case is scheduled for 10 this morning. Fingers crossed. Melissa, I checked flights for you, cheapest is $350. I think you can do the drive! And we would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see you!!! So don't bail and you don't smell! LOL Janet~ I hope your weekend goes well. Know that we are thinking about you! Julie~ hugs and have a safe trip! Hope you slept well. Eva~ Congrats! That's awesome with your NSV. Mine recently was being able to buy a bra off the rack and it fit. I was ordering mine online for a year or so. Those small things mean so much. Off to get Nelson to school. CBL... peas....aka laura

OK Girls....this is going to be a "Me" post. Don't have time to talk much but I did get caught up on all your posts since being gone. Sad to say, I am about ready to be on my way out the door again until next Tuesday. Great NSV a bit ago. We have been having a very hot, hot spell. I just spent 2.5 hours in the hot sun tending to my flower beds and enjoyed it. No sweating, no passing out, no passing away. And, all this at 97 degrees. 2 yrs ago DH would have been planning a funeral (a very eloquent one, I would hope). Anyway, love you all. Driving to the lake this afternoon with puppa. 8am dental appt and only 27 miles from lake place but 70 from home. That's where I want to be anyway when I am recouping from this next procedure (s). I see this entire process not a lot different than getting to goal. Hurdles to jump, pain to be gone through, etc. I sooooooooooooooooooo miss you guys. Told DH today that I am going to try to find a way to get internet up there. I'm at a loss on how to do it. I think I should look into the phone thing and hook it up to laptop? Eva? Would that be a possibility????? OK...gotta run. Thanks for all the well-wishes with this mouth of mine. Protein shakes for a few days. I am one that misses chewing and cannot stand to miss a meal. Boohoo...poor me! I feel awful not talking to all of you and responding to your posts. Thanks for sharing the photos, Julie. Nice job. I also love that shade of green. Talk to you all soon. Sending the love

Congrats Long !!!! :thumbup:Yea Overweight!! :thumbup:I know how great that feels.. You are doing so great - I am so happy for you and proud of the work you are/have done... Yep - it's a 50 yr old thing - really it's a too many things on our minds... I did shopping yesterday and forgot stuff - I need to start making list - but I forget them at home:lol: but just the fact of writing it down does help me remember sometimes when at the store  Becky - Learn to say NO - you have a lot on your plate right now - and there is nothing wrong with saying No - I know it's hard but you have to think about you.. If you took the job you could still eat right - but ya the exercise might be hard and your whole kitchen thing and election - Can it wait till those things are over.. The 1st bite - it's usually the chewing and taking too big of a bite for me - it's usually the 3rd bite that gets me - I got stuck on pudding the other night.. Slow down and just concentrate on chewing super well - just think - if I chew I can eat my whole meal... I can eat grilled cheese and sandwich breads and sour dough type breads - I just don't do it often cuz GS isn't really a sandwich eater and the bread goes to waste.. But every now and then I do buy a loaf of lite bread. Yes our bands are fickled - some days I think I need a tweek then again I know I don't.. Its about chewing and eating slowly and small bite - really focus on those things and then go from there at to measure if you need a fill or not You kitchen sound beautifuly - your colors are like mine - I would say we have similar taste :0). Rose I work Insurance - (property and casualty - businesses - country clubs, contractors etc) I will be w/my employer for 30 yrs 7/9/09.. I am a licensed agent - but I don't sell as an agent - I am a Senior Acct Exect/Manager. I do all the work and the Producer gets all the glory  Hair cut was great - wear a angled bob - and keep going shorter - I want short hair - but as a fat chich I would never go short - cuz I hated that whole little head big body look - so we are going shorter a little at a time.. Yesterday at Target - a lady giving samples of some granola type bar - 1st thing I asked how many calories - she said only 150 - I said Oh thats alot - she said you don't have to worry about that - and I said ya I do - if I want to stay this way... But that someone thought I was just a thin person was like unbeleivable - I might have a thin body and know it - but don't always feel it.. Well today's agenda - Take back a blouse I got for my bday and search another Marshalls for these cute capri's but they only had a 2 & 8 at my store - the 2's were about an inch to small in the waist - but they were so cute... I gotta find a 4.. Oh ya - and I did get to the gym before my hair appt - I was trying to make excuses that I didn't have enought time - cuz I hate to rush - but you know what I may not have gotten my whole 3 miles in - but did get 2.5 and still burned 275 calories by upping the incline and working out harder instead of longer.. Another great NSV - Another way my thinking has changed - I know that I have to exercise if I want to eat and keep what I have worked so hard for...

Wonderful NSV - my DH commented on my "tiny waist"...yeah, I know, it ain't tiny yet, but it's nice to be referred to as "tiny". He does that a lot...makes me grin and giggle... I my DH!
