  1. How are you feeling post surgery? Almost 2 weeks down!

  2. i am trying not to get frustrated but sometimes its just so hard and say why did i do this and why aren't i losing more weight...i dont expect to come off all at once, but maybe a lil more a week would be great. if i am losing inches i certainly dont even see the change in clothing...still same size pants and shirts. even tho i lost 12 lbs...ughhhh...lol

  3. Hi! I am doing pretty well how are you? I feel great most of the time as long as I keep following the rules. :) Weight loss is pretty steady at 2 lbs a week...so I am pretty happy with that.

  4. I'm currently down 183 today I started at 247. But before I started I went on a one-week liquid diet and lost 6 pounds. My sugestion to you if your able to eat more, do sallads with fat free dressing (just the vegetables only), it will fill you. You just need something to fill that extra space. Call your doctor and exaggerate NOW you need another fill asap. I've been there last year

  5. Hey there, thanks for asking :) My weight hasn't changed for like 2 weeks :( I started going to the gym for about an hour of cardio a day for the past 8 days and still nothing. I won't let myself give up and I'm hoping my fill on the 14th will decrease my appetite enough. How are you doing?

  6. Yea, its been forever! That is great to hear about you loss! I have lost 70lbs so far. It is difficult at times to break the stalls. My own fault! I have a new tool, my wife has just got on board with the weight loss idea, this makes it easier to persuade her not to bring in those nasty little treat! You should post pics, I bet you are smokin hot!! Lets see!!!!!!

  7. I have been eating regular foods for about two weeks now. My docs plan had me back on solids quickly after surgery I only had 1 week of liquids 1 week of purred and 1 week of soft.. So I am pretty much use to it and needing a fill badly! March 7th is my first fill.

  8. Welcome :) I new too. My name is Jennifer and I live out side of Detroit. I am 31 and married with three kids. I am so excited to have this surgery. I am just starting out so my surgery wont be until July or August. Funny your surgery is on my hubby b-day :). I wish you lots of success and luck. I have been reading alot on this website. I hear alot of people say bring carmax the day of .

  9. with Dr. Madam who I met last week and really like.

I was the only surgical patient on the 23rd, so I got the the BH surgical center at 6:30 am and left by noon. All in all it's been a really great experience and I am glad I went for it!

  10. Its been a busy weekend,im feeling so much better.I will try to be on chat this week, take care

  11. When I had a sandwich on day I felt a little stuck, but i drank some water and I was fine. My work out regimen is three times a week for at least an hour and a half. But I just started two weeks ago, When you fully recover we have to work out or do lunch or something. And 30lbs is amaaaaazing girl, keep up the good work. ttyl:)

  12. OK so I am going to start today off with scrabbled eggs and then meeting a friend at the mall near my house to walk....hoping the added exercise will help kick in the weight loss again....while in phase three I have not lost one pound but I haven't gained one either...hoping that I am doing this diet thing right....

  13. I am so glad I found this site...I had lap band surgery on May 12th and lost 13 pounds the first week but haven't lost a pound since I started phase three....good to know I am not alone!!!

  14. Hello, sorry its taken over a week to respond to the welcome.. I' getting used to the website... the website is busy... (not in a bad way but...) I've only gone to the lap band seminar, most post that I've read are people who are way past that.

  15. hello my name is Juanita i was just banded on April 25 today is week 21 for me i lost 20 ponds so far.

  16. I'm in the mushy phase too. I'm so happy I can eat fish (not pureed). But, like most people on here my weight loss stopped as soon as I started this phase. Oh well, at least I feel almost back to normal. Except I have been very sleepy this week.

  17. Hi, I saw you responded to my WW post. Just wanted to keep in touch to see how it was going for you. (If you joined) I did, Thursday will be 2 weeks. My first week I lost 3.8 which was exciting. I really like the new program. Fingers crossed on some weight loss this week, I had family parties over the weekend (those are always great sabotagers! lol)

  18. I'm doing great! Yeah, we're here around somewhere...I don't get to come on LBT much anymore if you want you can find me on FB Dora's Lapband Journey. So far so good with the band. I'm a little over 2 weeks out and I have lost close to 15lbs. Can't wait til I get the clearance to start working out again cause it'll fall off faster then. Keep in touch, let me...

  19. It is encouraging that you have done so well! I will have to try harder. I got a fill a couple weeks ago and have not really been able to eat much of anything but still have not lost :(.

  20. I was banded in 2003 and still have yet to make my goal. Feeling of failure... yep! Embarrassed? ....yes. Still the optimist?...surprisingly yes! I have done 4 triathlons and one half marathon and had many personal trainers. Yet the weight hangs on. Going for a fill next week cause I can eat anything.

  21. hello, i hope everything is goin great for you!! how have you been doing with everything lately? i had my surgery a week ago!!! it went great the surgeon said! i was in more pain than i thaught i would be though!lol were you in much pain at all? how long has it been for you now? a month? how is the eating going? i hope to hear from you soon!:)

  22. Hi Matilda,

I went to my two nutrition/information classes on Thursday. Kaiser requires that we take a ton of classes and by the time we have the surgery we are really ready for it. I am 6 pounds under the weight they required me to lose for the surgery too. I am ready I think. My job isn't really sedentary. I am a teacher on special assignment for our district and I do a lot of filming and work out at the different school sites. I think 2 weeks will be enough time off, but I will still have to be careful not to over commit myself when I come back to work. At the class on Thursday they said that the first month or so expect to be tired like a toddler and to expect to fall asleep easily at night.

  23. Ok it is March and I have decided that I don't want to lose any more weight I am a size 9 and weigh 157. This has been a very easy journey and I would not trade it for the world. If any of you are out there thinking about doing this stop thinking and do it... It will save some of your life and give some of you new lifes... This is not the cure all and end all you will still have to have self control and will power but alot less of it. I love being able to wear normal clothes and not be tied down to three fat stores that you can shop at.... So if you are thinking about it take the next step and change your life...

  24. hey there lady, hows things going for you two weeks to go for me. yay

  25. Smart thinking to back the surgery up to spring break. I have a friend at work that is having a lap-band also. She just found out today that her surgery will be 3/30. That means, I will be taking the week of surgery off and possibly 3/29, but I really should be back on 3/30 if I can. The only other person in our office is pretty new, and it wouldn't be fair to leave her alone (yet). My job is very sedentary (I transcribe medical reports all day), so I think I'll be OK.

I've been reading the March forums and several March people have already had their surgery. Sounds like they've done very well! Gives me peace of mind to know that.
