After the first second or third bite I get a building lump in my throat. Here comes the tmi, ...after a burp (or mild assistance up comes a significant amour of plain gup not the food??? Today I had to go to the my PCP because I became severly congested over the weekend. Not to mention how my stomache feels from all that hacking, sorry tmi... (I have Bronchitis) I was given antibiotics and an inhaler. Anyway, today I hit under the 300 mark and weigh 298 lbs. and even though its still a high number it just feels so darn good to be out of the 300 + .. I was so happy I had to share, even though I am too sick to jump up and down yet

Hi all; I apologize if this has been asked and answered but I couldn't find anything while doing a search.... I currently have a sinus and chest infection, and am on antibiotics. This has been ongoing since Tuesday (it's Sunday today); for some reason today seems worse (and TMI but the unending mucus is really annoying!). I have a fill scheduled on Wednesday....I am wondering if being sick will somehow interfere with the fill? Currently my band isn't tight (as in, it hasn't become tighter since being sick). Will I be able to feel proper restriction? Has anyone gotten a fill while being ill?

Ok Tmi But I Need Help
LosingItForMe2011 replied to roxyraquel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was going to say mine was pretty dark. I also had to take Colace the first few weeks. Never TMI in this place to me. Heck we all go through some weird stuff and it helps to know it's "normal" with this surgery. OH I was bruised for weeks after all those heprin shots. They did two in my stomach and I finally asked them to give it to me in my arms instead. I had 4-5 bruises on my arms that lasted at least a month! -
I had my sleeve placed this past Wednesday I came home Thursday. I started cramping and now I have something like a light cycle but I just had one on September 9th. Did anyone else go through this, I hope its not TMI But they took a pregnancy test before surgery and it said negative. So could it just be the stress of the procedure? Order My Steps Dear Lord...

Where Have You Noticed Your Weight Loss First? :)
Fiddleman replied to N/A's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In addition to face, stomach, arms, chest and feet, i have also noticed inner thighs are practically gone, making it easy to drop things through the legs. May be TMI, but my existing underwear has turned into a tent because my behind has flattened and waist and upper leg area has shrunk so much (in just 3 months). My twin brother is currently 10 lbs less than me, but i already look much smaller then him, he is considered overweight, but pretty normal for a guy that is almost 40. -

Did all liquids the first day, mushies yesterday, back to normal today. I had a sandwich at lunch and was fine (removed the crust because that is more difficult to go down). Sat down at dinner with chicken and mixed veggies and some fruit. After about 2 bites of chicken, and a piece of zucchini, I got stuck. It went away so I tried again. And for the first time since being banded, I raced to throw up. And have been doing it since (so about 2.5 hours now). Sometimes it's actually food, but sometimes it is (sorry for the TMI), slime or foam. I thought I was taking small enough bites. Certainly smaller than before since I was earned that this fill was probably going to make me much tighter than before. I've never gotten stuck on chicken, and certainly not on anything to this extent. The chicken was a bit dry but I had BBQ sauce. Is this normal? Am I possibly overfilled? For what it is worth, I'm at 7ccs. My band is larger than most on here, it's between a 12-15 but I don't remember the exact number.

Tmi, But Hoping Some One Can Help !
irshangel posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok, I'm sorry if anyone gets grossed out by this, but I need to know if anyone else has gone thru this. This morning after getting up for work, I went in the bathroom and was having a BM that turned into diarrhea, that then turned into sweating, shaking and feeling really sick to my stomach. I then began to vomit, but it was just dry heaves and spit coming out it was about 10mins of this. It had been at least 12 hours since I had eaten anything, and what I had for dinner was the same thing I had the night before with no problems. Just wondering if any one else experienced this, I was really upset and scared that something was wrong. -
I took my cleanse meds at about 10:30 am and not much has happened?!? Is that normal I feel like there should be more or will this continue for a while. Sorry if its tmi

Will My Boobs Lose Weight?
It's all new replied to Jenny881's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes - at 255 I was a 42G and at 180 I am a 36DDD. I know i am going to keep shrinking even more. In fact, I am anticipating needing a lift for sure by the time I'm at goal, and maybe implants. Seems like more and more of what is going to remain will be loose skin rather than breast tissue - TMI maybe, but that's the reality! -
True for some, just a warning. I was a little "confused" the first time it happened to me because I thought it was just sugar free chocolate that had that effect. Now I always put that warning out there... (sorry TMI)

I thought my stomach just didn't like the boost chocolate protein drink, so I switched and bought the eas advantage chocolate and strawberry cream to replace it. I tolerated the strawberry fine although I didn't like it very much, so I tried the chocolate one and i was sick as a dog. I didn't throw up but I had the worst feelings in my stomach and the feeling of having to have a bowel movement. (Sorry if this is tmi) but after having a small bm and laid down for 5mins I felt fine I felt better

my follow up went well today. I've lost a total of 21 lbs and 4 inches. I was able to pull out some of my smaller clothes. Dr said everything is good. I won't be able to get my first fill until my 6 week check up. But he gave me a list of eating guide lines that will determine wither or not i need one. We talked about my colon and how being irregular is normal. it's like re learning to have healthy BM's. I know that's TMI but i know that there are others out there that have the same problem. they recommended prunes. or that i double up on my dose of miralax.

Im kinda worried about the "dumping syndrome" but honestly since I was in the 11th grade I have suffered from "something" (still to this day to be diagnosed) that is very similar to dumping syndrome, I have all the symptoms, They say its from stress, Dr. says my stomach takes all the stress like how people get stress headaches. The crazy thing is I can drink water to take my meds and end up in pain in the bathroom I know thats TMI (TO MUCH INFO), but its the truth.

Chicago - Surgery Tomorrow At 11:30!
Nick'sMom replied to Nick'sMom's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
hello everyone. I made it through with flying colors. Those of you that reminded me to keep positive and go into it with a good attitude seriously made all the difference. My surgery was delyed a few hours because of issues with the surgeries before me, So I finally had my surgery about 2:00 then to recovery for a couple of hours. i seriously had a great experience - as great as this type of thing can go. Not sure why but I didn't need a cathiter (sp?) nor did I have a drain. i was up a walking last night, but had a little nausea but they took care of that. This morning I passed my leak test and had my first post 'meals'. Mostly broths because the Jello is just too sweet. I was able to drink apple juice. I'm not in that much pain although I did press the morophine button a few times over night. I'm off all wires and IVs and they gave me a dose of Loratab a little while ago to take the edge off the feeling that I did 1000 situps . I'm doing my laps around the floor and using my breathing machine as directed. They were going to send me home today (although i'm glad they didn't) but they can't until I pass gas - but my bladder is working just fine. TMI? sorry. I hope everyone is doing well today and I Iook forward to the next chapter of this journey. Thanks again to all the well wishers, i really appreciate it - You're the best!! -

I want steak. And ceasar salad. And cheesecake. And as for the sex, yeah did that, caved...poor hubby. And me, but I also held my tummy tight with my hands to keep it still. TMI? Cause I'm sitting here turning red typing this. Might just bust an incision laughing. According to my scale, I've lost 15 pounds since the surgery(two weeks out). For at total of almost 35 pounds according to my scale that is. Yay ME!!! This is so cool:D -

Ist week, some pain, some gas in shoulders, any liquid or non solid. Mostly Protein shakes and Crystal lite for me. I also drank some clear broths and after the first week just blended up chicken noodle soups. Focus on protein. My doc has me drink 2 oz of protein at the top of every hour and other sugar free liquids the rest of the hour. That kept me full. Try to drink something at least every 15 minutes. Walk, walk, walk and if you have back or shoulder pain try windmilling your arms as you walk. Walk somewhere every hour even if it is only to refill your liquids. May be TMI but don't expect a lot of BMs. My doc would not even consider a laxative until after 5 days. Follow the advice given by your doc and try to relax. Nervous makes you hungrier! Good luck and keep us posted on your journey!
