Congrats! I cannot wait for that feeling of being able to fit comfortable and not ask for the extender. Btw, excuse me if I sound dumb, but what is NSV? Or DH? I always see these terms and I'm just trying to figure out what they mean...

This has got to be one of the best NSVs ever! Congrats! -Kendra -
MY OWN NSV! Went to BIL/SIL house today. Ate 2 shrimp, 1/2 of the inside of a stuffed cabbage, a little potato salad and a little creamy Jello stuff ( cool whip, pudding kind of thing). I had no dessert/ no wine or drinks. One other meal today (b'fast) scrambled egg and one piece whole wheat toast. Feel so good that I had control (this year at least). I have one week to get below 200 (aiming for 198 by 12/31) and I so want to be there.

Can you believe it has been 7 months already?! It has been harder than I thought it would be, but the results are worth it! Some of my NSV's are being able to wear clothes in the teen sizes again and I started running. How is everyone else doing?

Okay, so this weekend I decided to try on a formal pencil dress. they didn't have my size, so I tried on one size smaller. Guess what! It fit!!!!!!! I didn't even need to unzip it! I just slipped it right on. I was just window shopping, so I didn't buy it, but I might go back and get it because I have a wedding to go to in 2 weeks. The second one was that I was sitting at a restaurant eating, and thought to myself, " gee, I think my stomach is shrinking!" LMAO!!!!

Congrats on the skirt fitting!!! Stupid question... What does NSV stand for??

Nsv - Jeans From Before And Now - With Picture
SKCUNNINGHAM posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Attached is a picture showing my beginning jean size (26W) and my current jeans size (10P). I saw a similar picture to this on the forum and thought I would do one, too. There is 108 pounds difference in weight. My waist has dropped from 46.5" to 32". (still TOO BIG) My hips have dropped from 48" to 36". I think I will leave these hanging on the back of the door for inspiration. -

I had a great NSV last week. I went out to lunch with 5 other people and only one person knew I had this surgery. One of the guys that work directly for me ask me if I was full since I only got clam chowder Soup in a bowl. I told him and the group that yes I was and had a big smile. I doubt he has figured it out yet unless others have told him. Chris -
congrats on being able to enjoy shopping - great NSV

Hello - my name is Anne and I got the lapband on my 43 birthday - over 2 years ago. Dr. Chand was my doctor at the Cleveland Clinic - and he did a great job - I haven't had any problems - and have lost about 70lb. I need to lose about 100lb total to be at my goal weight - and I have been at a stall for the past 6 months or so - I have only ever had 2 fills, the last being over a year and a half ago. I still have good restriction - somedays too good - so I don't feel my stall is from lack of restriction - I still can only eat small amounts - but my choices haven't been the best and I have been picking on slider food - crackers and chips are my huge down fall - I am determined to get it back on track this summer and want to lose 10lbs by Sept when I go back to school. I am a teacher - and have 3 children - am married 23 years tommorrow to a pretty awsome guy. We are both off all summer - and we enjoy going on our boat, camping and taking our kids to swim meets and softball and baseball games. We have 2 bearded collie dogs - who we love to death - and one cat we wish we didn't she isn't a bad cat - but older with litter box issues so she ends up living in the basement as she has ruined a few carpets. I came here as I know the one way to get back to basics and get back on track is to be accountable and talk and listen with others who are going through this. I have been a slow loser - which is ok with me - I know the 70lbs I lost are never coming back -and and if I take it slow and steady I will reach my goal eventually - I just am taking time to enjoy the journey - it has been a wonderful ride - many small nsv that just creep up on you - one thing I am trying to incorporate this summer is exercise - my dh and I have been walking every morning - for 45 minutes - this is a huge thing as I hate exercise and lost the 70lbs without any exercise at all....so hopefully we will continue! Looking forward to coming on here and sharing and learning! Huggs! Anne

Audrey I can't wait to see your pics! I just love looking at the pics of you and your sister...what an inspiration you are! Thanks for being there for us newer bandsters. I love love love your attitude. And I agree so much with what you say about not being so tight you can't at least eat the nutritious food you need to eat comfortably. And if being not quite tight enough doesn't keep you from eating junk, well, neither will being a tad bit loose. Thank you for saying that. What a great NSV, to be walking by totally expecting some evidence of a sneer and getting nothing...you are normal!!!! Ahhh!!! Happy Bandiversary. Well done!!!!!

At what point do you not feel like you have to dress like your old fat self? Or look in the mirror and see your old body? Halloween costume last night was MaryAnn from True Blood, so that required sleeveless. It took a LOT to get to suck it up and go without the jacket. Of course on the outside I showed confidence because it's what I do but on the inside I was thinking, these people are looking at my arms. They are wondering why the fat girl wondered why it was ok to wear sleeveless. What is she thinking? I did have a NSV today though - one of my friends posted pics from the party and a young rather cute guy said "whos the raven haired hottie? I am married and SO not looking, but it totally was a big NSV!!

That's an amazing NSV I know I hid from camera's for over a year and missed out on some great photo ops not anymore!!! -
That's an awesome NSV! Congratulations! I bet you won't need a seat belt extender. When I flew, I I was only about 20 pounds less than you are right now and I'm 7 inches shorter than you are. By the time October comes, you'll have room to spare in the seat belt.
