Woohoo Cashley and Pugmum! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Only when we are ready to accept the truth will we be truly able to change it. Right on ladies. It's always refreshing to hear people who aren't afraid of speaking honestly about why they aren't progressing as they would like. If we all did this, we'd see a huge number of people shouting out happy reports and NSV's every day.

Stay strong China, it is a very hard time. I did have a nsv, last black friday, i bought a pair of jeans that I said would be my goal to be able to wear this christmas. Well, i got them on yesterday, they are tight, but they zip. So now have to get some belly off to fit good. Have a great day, Laurel -

Spring into March 2010 Bandsters
btrieger replied to NYSparklegirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi all, it's been a while since I posted on this thread. I went back a couple of pages and it look like everyone is doing great. I'm down 34 pounds since my surgery and going for fill #3 on Wednesday. The NSVs are adding up. I can actually wrap a large towel around my waste and do that tuck thing. I flew coach last week without needing a seat belt extender. I've been reading up on plastic surgery and figure I will be signing up for it by year's end. -
BK....congrats on the NSV! Sorry to hear about your loss though. Glad you've figured out what you want to do w/your life! STEPH...yes, you told me so!! Funny thing is i Saw the Ex w/his new girl on Sunday and I was just SOO over it! I actually felt kind of sorry for HER choosing to be w/such a slimeball! But hey, not my problem, right? I just hope this guy falls for me! I'm still so not confident in that area... CLAUD...glad to hear everyone is safe!!! I hear on the news that they're hopefully turning a corner in controlling all the fires, so that is good news!

Bk - I'm glad you're getting a fill, 3 slices of pizza is too much, not that I think it would stretch your pouch bc I think its going on down through the band otherwise you'd have that full full feeling. Kay - soup is not a bad food, unless its creamy its pretty low cal but it doesn't stay with you as long. The same goes for salad, its just not gonna last 3-4 hours in there. I had a lean cuisine panini (kinda like a grilled cheese but with alot more stuff) for lunch yesterday, it went down good and actually kept me full 3 hours. It had around 20g protein. The whole bread thing is why I try to keep away from that stuff but I think I'll eat them again, I think half of it would have been great with a good fill. Speaking of fills... Sassy I've never been numbed, not an option at my Dr. I asked once and they said the same as Annie, you're getting a needle either way so whats the point? I made an appointment for tomorrow - I hope I'm doing the right thing, just a little tweak. Nate said about doing it under fluro but I said I really don't think thats necessary, so he's going to ask the dr if I can just have it in the office again. I'm really trying to eat foods that will stick around for a while and yet not get stuck. I hate being at the same weight for 2 weeks - it irks the poop outa me! I got on the scale again this morning and its still hovering in the 190's. I had myself psyched for the 80's and it feels unachievable. Even tho I'm a bit discouraged that the scale hasn't moved I still have to tell you a huge NSV - we ordered t-shirts for the track team and parents. I ordered a large - not x-large or 2x - just a plain old large - I haven't worn a large in YEARS! And I guess I was just hoping for the best. Yesterday I put it on and my size 14 jeans - jeans that weren't squishing my fat up and over the waistband - and I went out into public like that! Without a big shirt or sweatshirt to cover my rolls of fat. I honestly can't remember the last time I wore a size L - I've been trying to hide behind big baggy stuff for so long. One of the things I'm really going to try to do is get out of the baggy stuff. Theres a girl who lost a bunch of weight in town and everyone was saying she's lost too much - the whole blah blah blah bs - and I said well she apparently doesn't feel thin yet bc she's still wearing those big baggy t-shirts. So thats what made me decided I'm really going to work on that issue. Sassy - I just re-read your post, I can't believe they didnt' weigh you! Thats crazy! If I call in they ask my weight and chart it. I bet that you'll have to be aggressive with them over everything. Kay when is the wedding? The way you are exercising and with this new fill you could probably fit very comfortable in it within a week. Ok I haven't gotten on the dreadmill in 3 days so I guess I better get my butt moving and rev it up. Have a good day.

Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
Josette replied to DeLarla's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
It's been over 9 months and I'm just now getting up the guts to post before and afters. Right now my scale is broken but I know I'm over 60 lost. I still have 100 to go but today I had a HUGE NSV. I went to buy some new carpi's for work and before surgery I wore 28's (tight) 30/32's. Today I grabbed a 26 and too big. 24...too BIG! I bought 22's!!!! I can't remember the last time that happened. It's been over 10 years since I fit 22's!!! My shirts are still bigger because I carry my weight around my mid section, but I can now shop for shirts at lane bryant again. Anyways, I figured it's time to post some pic's. I finally see a difference! Thanks to everyone for being so inspiring! Love you all! First pic was taken a few days prior to surgery and the second was taken tonight! -

WOW! I got my bike back from the shop and had to try it out! I just got back from a 15.12 mile Bike Ride!!!:whoo: 1 hour and 6 minutes... an average of 14.6 mph!:clap2: I only intended to go out for 4 or 5 miles... but I wasnt even winded. So, I thought ok 10 miles... got to 10 miles and wasn't even winded. So, I thought ok, 15 miles. I was still NOT winded at all! breathing well... and hyped up on adreniline BUT if it wasnt for the fact that it was getting tooo dark to ride safely. I could have just kept right on going!! I feel great. So, happy I got started on this. I LOVE my bike! ------------------ Next order of business, NSV -- OMG I had my first Cat Call tonight!! hahaha -- these guys saw me riding my bike -- as they came out of their apartment and totallly did "the whistle" and shouted some kind of "hey baby" comment at me. I was like, "what the hell!?!?" (then I started thinking) I ride in these little bitty short shorts and tank top... I never once thought about what I must look like up on that bike. Half my ass is probably exposed! :omg: i guess they got to see a whole lot of "leg." haha... and mamma must be looking better these days when she is riding around town! I laughed so hard when I figured out the whistling was directed at me! I almost fell off my bike. THAT would have been sexy! ------------- Claud -- well, at least you found a nice guy to spend the evening with... sound like you may want to give him a bit of a chance. I know your heart is in Chicago BUT this guy sounds awfully polite and nice. He would be great to spend time with and just enjoy yourself. BUT I know what you mean, when you heart lie somewhere else -- it is hard to even look at another person. Booboo -- YEAH!! for not killing the mother! haha -- I am glad she finally came around. That probably took alot for her to make that compliment. She seems like the type of person that would have had to swallow her pride to say that one. So, I know must have meant alot to you. Kudos on the tubing!! I was with my 5'2'' sexy as hell Hawaiian friend this weekend. She is GORGEOUS! and she is like "you want to go down to the pool?" I had to have looked at her like she was crazy! I havent been in a bathing suit in over 10 years! in a publice pool since I was 15 or 16! and here she is in all of her perfectly tanned and toned glory!! YEAH... um, that was NOT the day for me to try out sun bathing... I love her to death. Best person ever, but she is like Ms. Hawaiian Tropic... THAT would make anyone feel infearior. Steph -- yeah, I would let them have it too!! haha -- i dont put up with ANYONES crap anymore. or at least I try not to. I just cant handle it. Give 'em hell! I am glad to see you checking in more. I've missed you! Congrats on the awesome day! Make sure not to skip breakfast, it will put your metabolism in SLOW MO for the entire day. Ive been setting my alarm for 5am getting up eating my breakfast and then taking an hour power nap before I have to keep getting ready for work. It helps jump start my metabolism -- so I keep on burning up the food all day. Just an idea!! hehe about "the boinking" of the husband. you crack me up girl. You seem to have a very healthy happy relationsihp with your husband. that is good! Keeps you both young and um..... satisfied??? haha:heh: BabyGotBack! Hey chica! I keep up with you on the boards... I check up every few weeks to see how you are doing and how things are progressing :-) OF course we remember you! You are doing an awesome job with your band. I was plateaued for about 2 months. I've had to kick up the exercise HARDCORE to see results. But I think things are finally moving again! So good to hear from you!

NSV. I ordered an Obama O8 long sleeved t shirt, XL. It arrived yesterday and it's tooooooooo big. But I'm wearing it anyway! I'm proud to be a Democrat, proud of Obama (sorry, Laura) and WAY proud that an XL is too big! Suzie... the pool heater is IN. Now it's waiting for the guys to dig the gas line. The pool guy said one of his customers had their pool open through November and it cost them $400 a month to heat it that last month! :smile2: I'm aiming to have it open through October and that's it. But at least we can open it up in April next year instead of June.

Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!
cfergie911 replied to Eroper6's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I haven't seen the bacon bowls. I'm surprised I haven't because I usually don't sleep in and there's nothing on tv at 4 am other than infomercials. Lol. I see my nutritionist on Monday. I've only lost a few pounds these past 2 weeks but I have noticed the inches coming off. I can feel my forearm bone now. I can also wear the small bracelet for my fitbit flex. Yay! It made me feel good when I realized that today. I thought about selling the small bracelet on eBay when I first bought it because I thought I would never wear it. Good luck with your appointment Thursday! : ) I am down 34 pounds. I have a NSV!!! I am wearing my hubbys shorts! He is a stick and they are absolutely comfortable! I am so surprised that I am doing so well. -
Wom, Mim, great loss for the week! I know the fill has been a little challenging, but it sure is great the see the results! lisalee, I know what you mean about NSVs. They are really much more important than a number on the scale. Just knowing that I'm making progress has taken a load off my shoulders. I think I was in a low-level depression for many months (years?), and I've pulled out of that. I don't know if it's the weight loss, the fact that I'm getting better nutrition, or a combination of both, but it seems like my mind is clearer, colors brighter, and it seems a little easier to face problems and stop procrastinating. Mom, I'm down 2 more pounds this week. Good luck to all of you for a great week! Tami

August Rush in bandland!
tylee72198 replied to AmberK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have what I consider a dumb question. I started out this journey in a size 30/32. It was a tight 30/32. I could have probably worn a bigger size than that even. I'm now in a 22/24. How many dress sizes do I say that I have lost? Is it 2 or 6? A NSV yesterday. I pulled off a pair of size 24 capris without unbuttoning or unzipping them. -
Ok so I was banded just a little while ago and have lost 17lbs so far. Well my kids and I were playing football and I was throwing the ball. When the ball flew through the air, My ring did also. I guess my hands are getting thinner because My rings won't stay on my hands. I guess its time to put them up till I can resize them... Its a pain but very exciting to me HEHE....

82 lb down..... & my pic didn't look like it today!
Lexuskela posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Since my preop diet started in May I have lost a total of 82 lb. I was sleeved on July 21. I feel great mentally & physically. I have been working out & having NSV'S etc. Today however, I felt good, felt thinner than I looked I guess! My hubby took a pic of me & I looked & I about fell over! Fatness all over again! I haven't gained, I HAVE NOT CHEATED, NOT ONCE. I just mentally thought I looked thinner than I did! My own mental image of myself was better than what the camera showed me!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!! I am supposed to want to show off pics now, not hide them like I used to. Has this happened to anyone? ???????? -
Attention ! Australian Sleevers
Aussiegirl replied to Lavea's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
AussieLady, I embeded the video in the following topic http://www.verticals...52-nsv-changes/..hopefully you can view it there Shell - WAY to go *insert happy dance*...you look awesome. Thank you all for your feedback and comments, especially about the video and the negative people. I know I have to walk away from this person, but he was my biggest supporter over the last year, being there encouraging me for almost every challenge I set myself. But he lies to me, about things that are not worth it, so how can I believe what he says about me...his actions and words dont aline and it just does my head in. Talking to him about it only leads to more lies..anyway I will find a way to put some distance be healthy mind and spirit. New Year...finally New ME!! BTW I am open to be set up if anyone know and nice elligible single men hahaha:) -
Hi all. I've been quiet too of late. I work in the food and beverage dept of a leagues club and you can imagine how busy I've been leading up to last night. Plus school holidays etc. did you know it's only 85 more sleeps until Christmas? Neither did I until at 6 am I was woken up and informed. *groan* Weight has been steady, not stalled, just coming off very slowly. Joined the gym and realised that you have to actually GO to get the benefits of it. I'm sitting at about 73ish kg ATM, surgery weight was 86 6weeks ago. I know I had less to lose and I'm happy with what I've lost, but I still can't see a difference in the mirror, and I'm hearing all these big numbers, which I'm jealous of. 10kgs until I'm in the healthy weight range, although I'd like to lose 15 more. I traded in my old size 16 work shirts for size 12 which is a good thing, another NSV I guess. Still have 2 more weeks of soft foods before I'm on full solids. I can eat 1 chicken tenderloin with a bit of low fat dressing and that's about it. I'm stuffed. Still struggle to finish an Optifast shake or bar. Drink at least 1L of Water a day and have had the swisse hair skin and nails Vitamins since before surgery, but they are HUGE so haven't started taking them yet. I take a nexium everyday, and can really tell the days I've forgotten it. Acid feels exactly like hunger. Will keep taking it. That's about it for me. Hope every1 is well and I'm still thinking of Lila.

Miss a few days & miss lots of fabulousness. Love that skirt & tweed jacket @AngieBear & I can’t wait to see you looking glamorous at your gala @Sophie7713. Congrats on your nsvs @november11 - looking good. I love spots & stripes too @kristieshannon. Big love to @AngieBear & @Sophie7713 promoting self worth. Sadly, making judgements about others based only on how they look is becoming endemic in society. I put my hand up shamefully & admit to have done it too. Worse that, in a previous life I taught 11/12yr old girls & would push individuality, resilience, self confidence & respecting others. Went to see my surgeon today. Bought the dress about 6wks ago & it’s a little big now. Those 2.5kgs I unintentionally lost have dropped me down a dress size (pity party thread followers know of my pain).

Congrats. That’s awesome NSV!!

Truly an NSV!! 👍👍 I am looking forward to the day I can wear riding boots, for fashion only. (My daughter is the equestrian.)

NSV = crossing like legs? That was my very first NSV! [emoji122]
