Can I Push A Bowel Movement Out??
kittylove32 replied to kittylove32's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you everyone!! Sorry I am just responding now but I was without power and internet due to the hurricane. Thankfully thanks to the laxative and stool softner I was able to go the day after I wrote this!! I have gone every day since. This is way tmi but when I go its ALOT!! Like probably 1lb of poop. So sorry girls and any guys. But just wanted to know how much more I have backed up? LOL -
Yes it was in place and just fine. All of a sudden its out and this is a tmi but I am bleeding like my first miscarriage, but I am on time for my period.

800 calories... Liquid shakes only. My go to cheats can be sugar free Jello or S/F popsicles. I am Sooo stressed because my husband and I both scheduled time off of work... And my heart is set on that date: Nov 12th I need these 8 pds to go!!! Over the last year I have lost 60 pds with diet and exercise... But of course there is always a stall... And this is mine at the worst time Ps: I am drinking a gallon of Water per day... No other beverages like juice or anything. I have scheduled a colonics for tomorrow (TMI) lol but I will do anything to lose this weight. I am nervous- it will be my first colonic treatment.

I'm A Walking Melting Wax Figure!
tmorgan813 posted a blog entry in A funny thing happend while I was loosing weight
A year ago, I would look at people who are the size I am now and think, "Oh, what I would give to be that size!". I just knew I would be full of confidence and that my self esteem would be flying high again. But, now that I am where I was striving to be a year ago (not thin but no longer obese), I'm still not happy with my body. Is this becasue society has told us what is beautiful so many times that we start to believe it? Or, is it much more simpler than that. Is it just that I'm not happy with my body as a whole? Why am I minimizing my success in my head? I know I'm not sabotaging myself, but I also know that when I look in the mirror now, there are parts of my body that I dislike even more now that I've lost weight. Now, before everyone blows up at me, let me explain. I am 110lbs smaller than I was a year ago and aroun90lbs smaller since surgery six months ago. I can look and feel my body and I KNOW it has made tons of positive changes. i also know that even though I mess up with my food intake some times, I have made huge strides in that area as well. For example, this time of year in the past I would have had bough four bags of candy just for my husband and I. To be honest, I ate 3 1/2 of those! Now, I've been very careful. If I do eat a mini bar, it's only one or two for the day and then no more for awhile. I've learned that apples and peanut butter can taste just as good as a Reese's Cup....well, not AS good....but close enough. Plus, the apple doesn't make me feel bad about eating it when I'm done. I also try to exercise when my back will allow. Another huge step. As for my body changes, the pouch over my "lady parts" is so much smaller that when I'm using the bathroom, I marvel that I can see certain parts again. (Sorry if that's TMI). I can now see the numbers on the scale with out having to bend my body all cockeyed when I weigh myself. My arms feel like little girls arms to me when I fold them across my chest and the best part is the way I fit into the area under my husband's arm when he puts it around me. For the first time, his arm goes all around me and can even go down part of my arm. For the first time ever, i feel like I can be that comforted woman in the arms of the man she loves. But, with all the good comes the bad. My boobs continue to try to make their way to the floor. If they continue on their trip, they will be there in a few months and I can turn them into cleaning tools as I walk around the kitchen floor!!! Also, they are much smaller, and I have to admit, I REALLY miss them. (If you read my blog lots, you can see that I say this all the time...I have always had a close relationship to my boobs!!! LOL). The skin under my lady parts and between my thighs continues to look like a bull dog's jowls. My tummy is now wrinkled and I can fold areas of skin and fat over on it. My arms have wings and to really just shock me, I noticed today that my face skin is hanging a little too. I swear, I know it's Halloween, but I do not have any desire to look like a walking melting wax figure!!!!! So, I did what I do and asked myself, "Which would you prefer? Who you were six months ago or who you are now?" No question, hands down, The PERSON I AM NOW!!!!. So what's the problem you may ask? It's simple. I've been overweight my whole life and I always thought that if I lost weight I would have a killer body. But, becasue of my age and the length of time I've been fat (not to mention the inability to exercise the way I would like), my body didn't get my brain's memo and can't just fall back into place.....right now, it can only "fall". Because of this, it adds some negative thoughts in my head about how I look. Now, I know only I and my husband can see my body....and I'm lucky that he loves it the way it is.....but every person I know wants that tight, chest up, butt up, tones arm look!! But for now, I will have to rely on Spanks and the right clothes to hide all these changes....and trust me, I don't mind one bit. -
Can I Push A Bowel Movement Out??
Jbright replied to kittylove32's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery last Wednesday 10/24. I was a little worried myself so I bought the suppositories (on Saturday) however I never used them. My hubby seems to think that since I've been taking in nothing but liquids there was nothing for me to push out! Well my first BM was yesterday (6days later) and it actually occurred while we were enduring hurricane sandy. (TMI I know) JBright -

TMI doesn't bother me! This has been discussed around here before anyway. I noticed a difference sexually as soon as I started losing weight (pre-op) but the penetration thing didn't become an issue until I was 80+ pounds down. The first time I hooked up with my friend with benefits post-op it hurt tremendously. He's used to being able to just got to town but I had to tell him to ease up or stop a few times. Afterward I told him I was mad because he "punched my cervix." lol It was a crazy difference. I saw him twice post-op, with the same problem each time. The guy I'm currently dating (and no longer seeing aforementioned guy) is very skinny but still well-endowed. I am -125lb now so there's a HUGE difference. I haven't had any pain due to depth issues (he's not as big as FWB) but I get a deeper feeling because he's narrower than what I'm used to and there's less of me to get through. The sex has been amazing! I know it's a combination of the weight loss and the chemistry. It's been a long time since I've been with a guy I liked and cared about this much. And only better things to come, my dear!

News flash!!!!! My mom bought me some cranberry juice, and it is absolutely the best thing since sliced bread!!! OMG It is getting rid of ALL THE GAS that the gas-x stripes are missing!!!! I know its tmi, but I haven't had this much relief since my surgery date without pain. I'm not sure if its the combination of the two, but its awesome......

4 Days Post Op- No Hunger Yet
SLEEVEDNBEAUTIFUL replied to Lollyx3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a 5 wks out. I do have the belching and it is when I'm full, hungry, and more when constipated . My gurgling has stopped. I felt the fullness with liquids but everyone is different. If I drank to much I would get nauseous so I started paying attention to what restriction felt like. When you get there you will know. But don't really worry about restriction or fullness while on liquids is what I was told by my surgeon/nut. I still don't feel hungry unless I have gone all day without any intake. Bad as it is I have done this. It's hard to get everything down sometimes especially when I'm constipated. TMI but it's so true. -
Teally TMI...This post sounds like your husband hijacked your vertcal sleeve talk login! lol.

Tmi
Vicki Loichinger replied to droppingitlikeitshot75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Awesome. Not TMI at all, this is something I think everybody deals with. I do now even pre op. I have had days that I was super excited to have a good BM. You are doing great. I am so happy for you. Keep on doing what you are doing cause you are making this work for you. Sending you continued healing thoughts and prayers. Gentle Hugs -
Woo hoo!!! BM today, postop day 4!!! Make sure you walk, walk, walk and sip, sip, sip!!! I had a lot of hot milk breakfasts past two days, strained oatmeal, thinned out cream of wheat with Unjury and thinned grits! Lots of walking more than the 10-15 min recommended. Hope this helps someone!

Anyone Going To The Bathroom Alot???
Tiffany3280 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Had my follow up appointment and everything looks great, I'm down 20lbs total. So my doctor said I could start soft foods that have Protein, I had a very small portion of tuna on Friday and was in the bathroom like 3X's (sorry I know tmi) and today I had mashed potatoes and the same thing happend. Help!!! I'm drinking Water and Gatorade so I won't get dehydrated. I was banded 10/18. Any advice on what to do??? I know it's tmi but, it's so like water...???£???¢ Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk -
I think all the stuff they pump into you during surgery tends to leach out too. That Lortab made my urine stink, tmi lol

Ok, so my stomach has been getting itchy. I Was also itchy where my c-section scar is. So, I Was scratching it and then I rubbed my nose and My finger smelled. I only scratched under my stomach where the cut/scar is. I have showered everyday since surgery so I am not dirty. I don't think this has anything Do do with the band. It's not even close to The cuts and holes they made. It looks like I have a few bumps on the scar. I have to go back to The ob but what the heck is up with that odor?! This is A first for me!

This may be TMI, but what the heck. Ever since phasing into solids I get this nasty methane-smelling gas that fills a small room. The dog cowers in the corner. The flies drop on the table. The neighbors wonder if there is a gas leak in the neighborhood. Obama calls me to create a new clean energy company. Ok, maybe I am throwing in a little humor and hyperbole, but it is true. Do you think this is because of all the protein I have been eating? I hope it goes away eventually like hair loss because all I can think of is that old garbage pail kid card from the 80s with an atom bomb coming out of his behind. Thoughts.

I read the 50 shades series while recovering. Have to say that was probably what contributed to me wanting to get things back into action with my husband quicker than I had thought I would post surgery! Sorry, TMI! Terribly written books but titilating nonetheless Anyway, I like Marian Keyes books for easy reading and funny chick lit.
