I'm in the mushy phase too. I'm so happy I can eat fish (not pureed). But, like most people on here my weight loss stopped as soon as I started this phase. Oh well, at least I feel almost back to normal. Except I have been very sleepy this week.

Hi, I saw you responded to my WW post. Just wanted to keep in touch to see how it was going for you. (If you joined) I did, Thursday will be 2 weeks. My first week I lost 3.8 which was exciting. I really like the new program. Fingers crossed on some weight loss this week, I had family parties over the weekend (those are always great sabotagers! lol)

I'm doing great! Yeah, we're here around somewhere...I don't get to come on LBT much anymore if you want you can find me on FB Dora's Lapband Journey. So far so good with the band. I'm a little over 2 weeks out and I have lost close to 15lbs. Can't wait til I get the clearance to start working out again cause it'll fall off faster then. Keep in touch, let me...

It is encouraging that you have done so well! I will have to try harder. I got a fill a couple weeks ago and have not really been able to eat much of anything but still have not lost .

I was banded in 2003 and still have yet to make my goal. Feeling of failure... yep! Embarrassed? ....yes. Still the optimist?...surprisingly yes! I have done 4 triathlons and one half marathon and had many personal trainers. Yet the weight hangs on. Going for a fill next week cause I can eat anything.

Hi Matilda,
I went to my two nutrition/information classes on Thursday. Kaiser requires that we take a ton of classes and by the time we have the surgery we are really ready for it. I am 6 pounds under the weight they required me to lose for the surgery too. I am ready I think. My job isn't really sedentary. I am a teacher on special assignment for our district and I do a lot of filming and work out at the different school sites. I think 2 weeks will be enough time off, but I will still have to be careful not to over commit myself when I come back to work. At the class on Thursday they said that the first month or so expect to be tired like a toddler and to expect to fall asleep easily at night.

Ok it is March and I have decided that I don't want to lose any more weight I am a size 9 and weigh 157. This has been a very easy journey and I would not trade it for the world. If any of you are out there thinking about doing this stop thinking and do it... It will save some of your life and give some of you new lifes... This is not the cure all and end all you will still have to have self control and will power but alot less of it. I love being able to wear normal clothes and not be tied down to three fat stores that you can shop at.... So if you are thinking about it take the next step and change your life...

Smart thinking to back the surgery up to spring break. I have a friend at work that is having a lap-band also. She just found out today that her surgery will be 3/30. That means, I will be taking the week of surgery off and possibly 3/29, but I really should be back on 3/30 if I can. The only other person in our office is pretty new, and it wouldn't be fair to leave her alone (yet). My job is very sedentary (I transcribe medical reports all day), so I think I'll be OK.
I've been reading the March forums and several March people have already had their surgery. Sounds like they've done very well! Gives me peace of mind to know that.

Hey Jeri,
well it been almost 2 weeks and I dropped from 232 to 211 now for the past 5 days I have stayed the same, yes I am able to take in a little more food but not near half of what I used to consume. all pretty soft stuff but I did try hard boiled eggs grated, a chicken tortilla soup not blended and it went down fine a few crackers and oatmeal. I have learned that MILK is not my friend GAS!!!!! I guess once O get my first fill I will be back to not being able to eat anything right? hope your doing well and thanks again for your support I so want to be where you are now. Congrats on all your hard work and effort and success. Patti

Lol rambling is good for the soul. I think this experience will definitely be one to tear you down before it builds you up confidence wise though. Because about a week after I had the surgery I already started realizing. "What the heck am I going to do?" It's hard to gain something that's invisible and you've never had to know how it feels. I've always faked confidence, gone for things people will tell me not to and been a people pleaser, but at the same time I've never thought about what I've wanted to pursue. If I could actually make my dreams come true etc. Like I've always wanted to be in a band. But "who wants an overweight lead singer?" soooo overall I just...I'm wondering so much lately about what's possible now. And I hate not knowing...so it's a break down you know...it's weird

Janet, Thank you for the information. It's good to have someone to help know if what you are experiencing is normal or not. I'm so sorry for your loss. Three friends? My prayers are with you and their families.

Everything is going really good. Getting fills every two weeks, really starting to feel real restriction. On the 18th I'll be 4 month post-op and even with the 15lb muscle weight gain I had last month I'm still ahead of the curve when it comes to losing, so I'm doing really well with a weightloss around the 60lb mark, I was closer to 80 but I look better and feel better, scale is up but measurements and dress sizes are down no complaints here. Hope October hurries for you! If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Hey girl! I'm doing fine...Just trying to be patient and stay postive. I have my sec doc apt next week. I wish October would hurry up and get here! How's everything going for you?
