It's my 1yr Bandniversary!!! I'm so happy with my progress, the weight lost and the life I gained. Future Bandster's stay motivated, no that we all fall down. The challenge is to pick yourself up and move forward:)

My sister reminded me of this site so I'm back on it. Really need it too because I am up in weight. Last time I was on here my current weight was 238 lbs I am in the 260s now.

10.5 cc and still not weight lost I am so over this, sucks why me I ask, If I would of known the lapband does not work for everyone I swear I would had never gotten it!

I am 4 weeks post op. I really didnt realize how fast the weight was going to come off.However,when I look in the mirror I don't see it. I see it in my clothes, but that's it. Has anyone else had this probably? Is this normal?

Always been bigger than other girls. Have been 90lbs overweight for 13 years. Cannot get weight off. Have lap band on 8/16/11. Down 18lbs but going so so slow. Feel restriction and pain only when not chewing long enough. I still can eat, eat, eat, just slower than usual and sometimes just give up chewing because my jaw gets tired. I am afraid I will never hit my goal weight and I am paranoid people are looking at me like "why is she still fat?" Want to push to get below 200 asap and hoping to hear if anyone has had the problem not losing and still hungry.

Hello all. I had my surgery on 09/13/10 and did really well. Did get a fill until January 2011. I kept losing so I was told I didn't need one. I had a hip replaced May 2010, then this surgery then May 2011 had other hip replaced. I have not lost any weight since May. In fact gain weight. I keep trying but realize I need a fill to restrict me. I guess I was ashamed of not keeping the weight coming off. I started at 289 lbs down to 225 then now am 235. Kells0802 you have given me a boost to get a fill even if I am told I should have come earlier or whatever.

I have lost 60 pounds and I feel really good but I feel myself slipping into some old habits. I am having a too full feeling almost everyday. I hope I can keep up the good work with weight loss.

Hello, I have made the awesome decision proceed with the lap band surgery! I need to connect with a support group - my surgery is 7 days away ... I must admit that am a little nervous about failing, yet again on this weight lost roller coaster...

Congratulations in losing so much weight!!!! I am sure you will lose the next 30 pounds with ease. I will be banded on Tuesday and I am so nervous. How did you know this was the right thing for you??

Has anyone had there lap band removed and what should I expect after. I am not having another weight loss procedure.

Hi Mr Deuces, Welcome to the site. I had my surgery done 4 years ago. I have put up a cpl of b4 and after pics if you want to have a look at them. Hi, I am new at this, my sugery date is Nov 22 2011 and i am a bit concerned about all the negative things I have read, that you gain the wait, the food get stuck, that is very painful, I know it depends onthe individual but how was your experiance..by the way you look great.

I'm just barely beginning to look up info re. weight loss procedures. I am interested in the cost for adjustable lap band type of procedures. I highly doubt I'll have any insurance coverage. therefore, this will be a major financial decision. I have read a few newspaper articles & a little bit on the internet re. how so many Americans are going out of the country to get surgeries done due to the much lower cost. I would consider going to a major bariatric surgery center in Mexico if that's what it takes financially for me. My BMI is about 34. I weigh 220 which is the most I've ever weighed in my life, although I've been over 180 lbs for many years now. The last I'm 51, going to be 52 soon. I'm in the midst of menopause. I'm not sure what role menopause and getting older has played in this but I feel I cannot go on another diet without help, serious help with what I feel has always been my biggest problem: BIG APPETITE !

Hi there, how is the exercising going? I must admit I missed 5 days in a row and gained 2 lbs so I am back at it every day except weekends. I love my hour of swimming. I was doing great with the Lap Band for the first 2 years in, I then went into Menopause and have gained 30 lbs. Does anyone else have these issues, and how do you get over them?

well so did i! i had surgery aug,1st and only lost 10pds and its sep 7th,, i thought i was suppose to lose 30pds in a month!!! So pissed,,, i had 2 fills so far,, so i have 2.5cc in me now,,, so when do i lose weight?? I can eat anything i want and i am starting to eat candy again,,, why wont the doctor just fill me so i can lose weight

Hello......I have just had my first consultation with the doctor and am now a bit unsure if Lap Band is really the choice I should make. I would like to chat with others who have made this choice who were diabetic. How did the weight loss affect your diabetes; are you happy with the amount of weight loss; if so, how much did you have to lose. I guess I have a lot of questions but will not be scheduling surgery for several months out so I still have time to get more educated.
